Components of playful entertainment
Component elements or component pieces of a recreational entertainment—at the rate of two active or main components and four accessories or supplements—are characterized by its unusual and original function.
The elements or component pieces whose patentability is claimed are characterized by its unusual and original function, notwithstanding their proceeding as a whole in accordance with the game rules inherent in this recreational entertainment.
Some of these are active or main components—it is to say, its movement is activated by its extraordinary action device- and some others are accessories or supplements, because their structure is adequate for the interaction with the former.
In accordance to the enclosed diagrams (
1. The so-called “POEENG FIGHTER” as a fantasy name, consists of a hard, plastic figure that together with, a hard, plastic spring, an internal mechanism, and the use of a zipper, produces its spin, leap and bounce.
As shown in
The conjunction between the parts that originate the shape of the character and the spin-spring, is illustrated in
The lower part is a base joined to a spiral-shaped spring through three-holed base; these holes are also connected to other projected parts of the spring which are embedded with a click. At the same time, there is an internal mechanism of three to six round metal plates, joined together by a nail that ends in a metal cog and remains outside the upper part of the spring. When placing the upper figure to the base of the spring, that internal cog mechanism remains inside the figure's body—right next to a hole through which the plastic zipper will pass—and the figure is attached to the base of the spring by an embedded mechanism that joins the parts together with two clicks.
Once the element is assembled according to this description, the hole in the middle of the upper figure is crossed by a zipper. By placing and removing the zipper successively, the spring of the element begins to spin around; and if dropped on a flat surface the whole element will spin around. It will bounce thanks to the spring, and will continue to spin until the internal mechanism loses strength and the product ceases spinning and bouncing definitively.
2. The active or main element of the same recreational entertainment—to be identified by the fantasy name “POEENG GHOST”—is illustrated in
When the half-sphere is turned 180°, the single-figure can be seen completely. At the same time, when turning the half sphere upside down, the product produces a jump of up to 40 cm—due to the characteristics of the material that was used—it needs to return to its initial state. When this happens (
As can be seen in
3.—Finally, the active or main component identified as “POEENG SPRING”, consists of a rubber figure with a plunger, which together with a plastic spring generates the jumping action (
As emerges from (
The joint between the two parts (character and plastic spring) is a result of the shape; the reason is that the character is made of a soft material that is fixed to the rigid, plastic spring by applying pressure.
The accessory or supplementary components of the same recreational entertainment are the following:
-
- A) A kind of catapult linked directly to the main or active element (1), that consists of an accessory formed by rigid, plastic parts which are connected to each other by a mechanism of simple embeddings, which allow the accessory to stand and function like a catapult.
As shown in
The way in which this accessory element interacts with the active element identified as “POEENG FIGHTER” is illustrated in
-
- B) A house containing the active component (2), with a mechanism of action:
As shown in the sequence of images of
By placing the single-figure with the half sphere rotated 180° on the hollow surface of the container roof, which has the cuts in the plastic, it is secured by the action of the latter. By pressing inward the space with cuts, the half sphere loses its original containment, releasing and shooting off the single-figure in the direction chosen by the player.
-
- C) A rigid, plastic, catching device that fulfills its recreational purpose when combined with the so-called “POEENG SPRING” active part and that functions like an opening-catching mouth, containing the active part inside when it is in the air.
As shown in
By pressing the button on the handle, as shown in
-
- D) Container houses with a mechanism of action. These supplementary products, which are illustrated in
FIGS. 8A-F , 9A-B, and 10, consist of a rigid, cubic, plastic tube, with a rigid, hexagonal top, that has an internal action and launching device for the main piece called “POEENG SPRING”.
- D) Container houses with a mechanism of action. These supplementary products, which are illustrated in
There are two types of cubic, container houses whose external shape is shown in
These two types of internal mechanisms associated with cubic houses act, on the one hand as a crossbow and on the other hand as a catapult.
In the sequence of images it is illustrated how the main part is placed onto the roof of the container house by applying pressure, and when lifting the knob of the roof, the main part flies off with catapult-launching effect.
In the first and second image of the same sequence, the cubic container house is shown, characterized mainly by its hexagonal upper part, also containing the mechanism of action. The roof has a top which consists of a flat, round, hollow opening with a handle, joined to the hexagonal roof by a hinge. This top is movable, and the handle allows placing it onto the surface of the hexagonal roof, as well as raising it about 45°.
The rising mechanism of the top is shown in
The second type of container house is shown in
In the sequence of images, it is shown how the active part is placed inside this element by means of pressure, and when pulling from the plastic mast that goes through it, it is ejected with a cannon-shooting effect.
This accessory element has a hollow hexagonal roof, which is embedded into the container/cubic house with a relief by applying pressure. At the base of the cubic house there is a round hole of 0.5 cm in diameter that is crossed by a plastic mast, projected to the exterior of the cubic house, which works as a handle. In the interior of the cubic house, the mast is attached to a 2-mm-thick, flat base whose diameter is 0.2 mm smaller than the diameter of the cubic house. At the same time, the interior of the cubic house has two facing walls that are projected 0.5 cm from each side of the walls, and go from the base to a 3 cm of height.
Thus, the active element (1) is stuck to the inner, flat base of the cubic house, joined to the plastic mast which works externally as a handle. By pulling it with force the spring leans on the projected, inner walls of the cubic house.
Then, if you continue pulling the plastic mast out of the cubic house, the spring will be applying force upwards increasingly and the suction cap will finally give way, so the main piece will be ejected with cannon-shooting effect, out of the cubic house.
