Abstract

A supplement container system includes a housing including a perimeter wall that has top edge defining an upper opening and a bottom edge defining a lower opening. A dividing wall is spaced from the top and bottom edges and divides an interior of the housing into an upper portion adjacent to the top edge and a lower portion adjacent to the bottom edge. A plurality of upper compartment walls is attached to and extends upwardly from the dividing wall and divides the upper portion into a plurality of upper compartments. A plurality of lower compartment walls is attached to and extends downwardly from the dividing wall and divides the lower portion into a plurality of lower compartments. A lower cover releasably engages the bottom edge and closes the lower opening. An upper cover releasably engages the top edge and closes the upper opening.

The disclosure and prior art relates to supplement container devices and more particularly pertains to a new supplement container device for holding a plurality of health supplements separate from each other.

(h) BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a housing including a perimeter wall that has top edge and a bottom edge. The top edge defines an upper opening extending into the housing. The bottom edge defines a lower opening extending into the housing. A dividing wall is positioned within the housing and is spaced from the top and bottom edges. The dividing wall divides an interior of the housing into an upper portion adjacent to the top edge and a lower portion adjacent to the bottom edge. A plurality of upper compartment walls is attached to and extends upwardly from the dividing wall and divides the upper portion into a plurality of upper compartments. A plurality of lower compartment walls is attached to and extends downwardly from the dividing wall and divides the lower portion into a plurality of lower compartments. A lower cover releasably engages the bottom edge and closes the lower opening. An upper cover releasably engages the top edge and closes the upper opening.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

(j) DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new supplement container device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the supplement container system 10 generally comprises a housing 12 including a perimeter wall 14 that has top edge 16 and a bottom edge 18. The top edge 16 defines an upper opening 20 extending into the housing 12. The bottom edge 18 defines a lower opening 22 extending into the housing 12. The perimeter wall 14 has a height from the bottom edge 18 to the top edge 16 that is less than 10.0 inches. The perimeter wall 14 may have a cylindrical shape and a diameter being no greater than 8.0 inches. A dividing wall 24 is positioned within the housing 12 and is spaced from the top 16 and bottom 18 edges. The dividing wall 24 divides an interior of the housing 12 into an upper portion 26 adjacent to the top edge 16 and a lower portion 28 adjacent to the bottom edge 18.

A plurality of upper compartment walls 30 is provided. The upper compartment walls 30 are attached to and extend upwardly from the dividing wall 24 to divide the upper portion 26 into a plurality of upper compartments 32. The upper compartment walls 30 extend outwardly from a central axis of the housing 12 extending through the upper 20 and lower 22 openings such that the upper compartments 32 are “pie” shaped. A plurality of lower compartment walls 34 is also provided. The lower compartment walls 34 are attached to and extend downwardly from the dividing wall 24 to divide the lower portion 28 into a plurality of lower compartments 36. The lower compartment walls 34 extend outwardly from the central axis. The number of upper 32 and lower 36 compartments will include at least two of each and no more than six of each.

A lower cover 38 releasably engages the bottom edge 18 and closes the lower opening 22. The lower cover 38 includes a plurality of lower doors 40 that are selectively positioned in an open position or a closed position. Each of the lower doors 40 corresponds with one of the lower compartments 36. An upper cover 42 releasably engages the top edge 16 and closes the upper opening 20. The upper cover 42 includes a plurality of upper doors 44 each selectively positioned in an open position or a closed position. Each of the upper doors 44 corresponds with one of the upper compartments 32. The upper 44 and lower 40 doors each are pivotally coupled to a central area of a respective one of the upper 42 and lower 38 covers. Each of the upper 44 and lower 40 doors may include a tab 46 frictionally engageable with a catch 48 for retaining the upper 44 and lower 40 doors in the closed position.

FIG. 5 includes an embodiment having a housing 50 with no dividing wall 24 and a perimeter wall having a height of less than 2.0 inches. A funnel 52 is also provided for assisting persons pouring supplement powders into the upper 32 or lower 36 compartments.

In use, the system 10 is used for holding various articles and in particular food materials that are used as supplements by persons exercising. By providing multiple compartments 32, 36 the user may include a plurality of different supplements, such a powders, tablets and the like, and keep the supplements separate from each other for usage as needed.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims

1. A container assembly configured for holding a plurality of dietary supplements, said container assembly including:

a housing including a perimeter wall having top edge and a bottom edge, said top edge defining an upper opening extending into said housing, said bottom edge defining a lower opening extending into said housing;

a dividing wall being positioned within said housing and being spaced from said top and bottom edges, said dividing wall dividing an interior of said housing into an upper portion adjacent to said top edge and a lower portion adjacent to said bottom edge;

a plurality of upper compartment walls, said upper compartment walls being attached to and extending upwardly from said dividing wall and dividing said upper portion into a plurality of upper compartments;

a plurality of lower compartment walls, said lower compartment walls being attached to and extending downwardly from said dividing wall and dividing said lower portion into a plurality of lower compartments;

a lower cover releasably engaging said bottom edge and closing said lower opening; and

an upper cover releasably engaging said top edge and closing said upper opening.

2. The container assembly according to claim 1, wherein said perimeter wall has a height from said bottom edge to said top edge being less than 10.0 inches.

3. The container assembly according to claim 1, wherein said upper compartment walls extend outwardly from a central axis of said housing extending through said upper and lower openings.

4. The container assembly according to claim 3, wherein said lower compartment walls extends outwardly from said central axis.

5. The container assembly according to claim 1, wherein said lower cover includes a plurality of lower doors being selectively positioned in an open position or a closed position, each of said lower doors corresponding with one of said lower compartments.

6. The container assembly according to claim 5, wherein said upper cover includes a plurality of upper doors being selectively positioned in an open position or a closed position, each of said upper doors corresponding with one of said upper compartments.

7. A container assembly configured for holding a plurality of dietary supplements, said container assembly including:

a housing including a perimeter wall having top edge and a bottom edge, said top edge defining an upper opening extending into said housing, said bottom edge defining a lower opening extending into said housing, said perimeter wall having a height from said bottom edge to said top edge being less than 10.0 inches;

a dividing wall being positioned within said housing and being spaced from said top and bottom edges, said dividing wall dividing an interior of said housing into an upper portion adjacent to said top edge and a lower portion adjacent to said bottom edge;

a plurality of upper compartment walls, said upper compartment walls being attached to and extending upwardly from said dividing wall and dividing said upper portion into a plurality of upper compartments, said upper compartment walls extending outwardly from a central axis of said housing extending through said upper and lower openings;

a plurality of lower compartment walls, said lower compartment walls being attached to and extending downwardly from said dividing wall and dividing said lower portion into a plurality of lower compartments, said lower compartment walls extending outwardly from said central axis;

a lower cover releasably engaging said bottom edge and closing said lower opening, said lower cover including a plurality of lower doors being selectively positioned in an open position or a closed position, each of said lower doors corresponding with one of said lower compartments; and

an upper cover releasably engaging said top edge and closing said upper opening, said upper cover including a plurality of upper doors being selectively positioned in an open position or a closed position, each of said upper doors corresponding with one of said upper compartments.
