BACKGROUND 1. Field of the Invention

The invention relates to a toilet seat lift in more particular a lift that can be flushed.

2. Description of Prior Art

The use of public bathrooms can be a bad experience or traumatic for those who are afraid of germs. The lifting and closing of a toilet seat can be a trying feat

There currently no products that help with the lifting and closing of toilet seats that are portable, aew easy to use and install, flushable and inexpensive.

There are hand gripping lifts like the Q Lifter that can be used without directly contacting with the toilet seat by a hand of a user for sanitary purposes. But these are not portable to be carried by the user for multiple use or single use and cannot be deposed by flushing.

There are numerous foot pedal products like the Easy Seat Foot Operated Toilet Seat Pedal, Foot Flush and the Windsor direct Footflush foot pedals but none of these are disposable, portable and require to be a fixture to the toilet. They require the use of a users foot to press a pedal which could make the user of balanced and fall.

There are hands-free automatic Toilet Seat where the seat lid rises automatically for female or sit-down use. These open-close mechanism are controlled by infrared and motion sensors but these products are expensive and have to be installed as a fixture so they cannot be carried with the user. They can be difficult to set up and use.

None of the prior art can be used by a user at any location for a single one time or multiple uses nor are they deposable and flushable.

There is still room for improvement in the art.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is a toilet seat lift. It is used to raise and lower a toilet seat without the user have to touch the toilet seat.

The toilet seat lift is a stick made of a disposable, flushable material with a stop and adhesive area to attach to the toilet seat. It is placed between the seat and the bowl to lift the seat up. It can also be used to lift the lid.

Once used the toilet seat lift can be disposed by placing it within the toilet bowl and flushed as it is made of a water soluble material and will dissolve in water. It can also be attach to the seat if the user desires to use it for a longer time.

The current invention is more efficient, effective, accurate and functional than the current art.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Without restricting the full scope of this invention, the preferred form of this invention is illustrated in the following drawings:

FIG. 1 displays a front right perspective view of the Toilet Seat Lift;

FIG. 2 displays a top view of the lift;

FIG. 3 shows a side view of the lift;

FIG. 4 displays a front right perspective view of the lift with the sticky strip;

FIG. 5 displays a side view with the sticky strip on the lift; and

FIG. 6 displays the lift being used.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

There are a number of significant design features and improvements incorporated within the invention.

The present invention is a idea is for a peel-n-stick toilet seat lift 1 for the toilet seat, as shown in FIGS. 1-5. It is used to raise and lower a toilet seat 15 without the user have to touch the toilet seat 15 as shown in FIG. 6.

The toilet seat lift 1 is a stick made of a disposable, flushable material with a stop 20 and can have an adhesive area 30 to attach to the toilet seat 15. It is placed between the seat 15 and the the bowl 12 to lift the seat 15 up as shown in FIG. 6. It can also be used to lift the lid 10 from the seat 15. The lift 1 is designed for single use without the adhesive area 30 for a simple one time use and flush. For a longer use it can be mounted with the adhesive area 30 and flushed when done.

In the preferred embodiment, the toilet seat lift 1 is comprised of a flat rectangular shaped stick 23 with a flat bottom and top with a stop 20 on the top of the stick 23 as shown in FIG. 6. The stop 20 is at 90 degrees from the top of the stick 23 and is about one third from the front of the stick 23. The stop 20 divides the stick 23 into the handle end 27 and the lift end 29. In one embodiment, there is a sticky surface 40 on the top of the lift portion 29 and the lift side of the stop 20. In the preferred embodiment, it is a peel-n-stick lift strip 40 in a 90 degree angle as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. The peel-n-stick lift strip 40 can be already attached to the lift 1 or be placed on the lift 1 by the user.

The lift end 29 will have an bevel 45% angled end so that it can more easily fit under the toilet seat 15 or lid 10. In the preferred embodiment, the dimensions will be that the stick 23 will have an ⅛ inch thickness and be 2⅜ inches in total length. The stop 20 will be ½ an inch tall and positioned ¾ of an inch from lift end 29. The stick 23 will be ¼ an inch wide and ⅛ of an inch in height.

The toilet seat lift 1 can be made in different colors to match the toilet color if desired.

Operation

As shown in FIG. 7, a user peals the cover of the peal and stick strip 40 and sticks the lift 1 under the bottom of the toilet seat 15. The handle end 27 sticks out far enough to grasp to allow the user to raise the lid 10 or the seat 15 without touching the seat 15 with their hands. The long strip 25 design with a stop 20 make it easily removable and since it is made of a dissolvable material it is easy to dispose of.

Once used the toilet seat lift 1 can be disposed by placing it within the toilet bowl and flushed as it is made of a water soluble material and will dissolve in water.

Advantages

The current invention is designed for use with any bathroom and allows the user to avoid germs and waste by allowing them to lift up the toilet seat and lid without have to touch them. Since it is made of a dissolvable material it is easy to depose of as well. Its improvements are: cost, being made from a water soluble material that is flushable, and being made for dual use (2 in 1), that include being made for both single use without the sticky strip, and reusable short term mounted use.

Although the present invention has been described in considerable detail with reference to certain preferred versions thereof, other versions are possible. Therefore, the point and scope of the appended claims should not be limited to the description of the preferred versions contained herein.

As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided. With respect to the above description, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
