BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (1) Field of the Invention (2) Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98The disclosure and prior art relates to supporting devices and more particularly pertains to a new supporting device for maintaining a bag in an upright position.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONAn embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a bag that may contain objects. The bag has a plurality of pockets positioned within an interior of the bag. The pockets are distributed around the bag. A plurality of panels is provided. Each of the panels is removably inserted into an associated one of the pockets.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
The bag 12 has a bottom wall 16 and a perimeter wall 18 extending upwardly therefrom. The perimeter wall 18 has a front side 20, a back side 22, a first lateral side 24 and a second lateral side 26. The perimeter wall 18 has an inside surface 27. Each of the pockets 15 is coupled to an associated one of the front side 20, the back side 22, the first lateral side 24 and the second lateral side 26. Each of the pockets 15 is positioned on the inside surface 27.
Each of the pockets 15 extends upwardly from the bottom wall 16. Each of the pockets 15 has a distal end 28 with respect to the bottom wall 16. The distal end 28 corresponding to each of the pockets 15 is open. The bag 12 and each of the pockets 15 is comprised of a deformable material. Each of the front side 20 and the back side 22 may have a width that is greater than a width of each of the first 24 and second 26 lateral sides.
A plurality of panels 30 is provided. Each of the panels 30 is removably inserted into the distal end 28 of an associated one of the pockets 15. Each of the panels 30 is comprised of a rigid material. Thus, each of the panels 30 retains the perimeter wall 18 in an upright position with respect to the bottom wall 16.
The plurality of panels 30 may include a set of lateral panels 32, a front panel 34 and a back panel 36. Each of lateral panels 32 may have a width that is less than a width of the front panel 34. Moreover, each of the lateral panels 32 may have a width that is less than a width of the back panel 36. As shown in
A bottom panel 40 is provided. The bottom panel 40 is positioned on the bottom wall 16 of the bag 12. The bottom wall 16 is comprised of a rigid material. Thus, the bottom panel 40 may support the objects 14 thereby inhibiting the object from deforming the bottom wall 16.
A pair of handles 42 is provided. Each of the handles 42 is coupled to the bag 12 and each of the handles 42 may be gripped. The perimeter wall 18 has a distal edge 44 with respect to the bottom wall 16 and an outer surface 46. Each of the handles 42 may be positioned on the outer surface of the bag 12. Each of the handles 42 extends upwardly beyond the distal edge 44 of the bag 12.
In use, the bottom panel 40 is positioned on the bottom wall 16 of the bag 12. Each of the panels 30 is positioned in a corresponding one of the pockets 15. Thus, the perimeter wall 18 is retained in an upright position with respect to the bottom wall 16. Additionally, the bottom panel 40 and each of the panels 30 inhibit the objects 14 from deforming the bag 12. The handles 42 are gripped and the bag 12 is carried.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
