In order to carry more goods and store the goods in a more classified manner, the luggage cases are mostly provided with a plurality of layers of pockets which are disposed on a cover. The cover is connected and can be closed and opened with respect to a case body by a zipper. However, the zipper is susceptible to break and corrosion after repeated use.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is aimed at providing a case of a luggage, which may ensure the lid being closed.

In order to achieve the objective of the present invention, a case of a luggage includes a case body having a sided portion; a support frame connected to an interior side of the sided portion of the case body; a first magnetic member coupled to the support frame; a lid pivoted to the case body; and a second magnetic member coupled to the lid, wherein the second magnetic member is attracted by the first magnetic member when the lid is moved toward the case body to close the lid.

In an embodiment, a gap is left between the first magnetic member and the interior side of the sided portion of the case body.

In an embodiment, a top of the first magnetic member is lower than an edge of the sided portion of the case body.

In an embodiment, the lid has a portion attached to an interior side of sided portion of the case body when the lid is closed.

In an embodiment, the edge of the lid has a curved portion to guide the lid attaching the interior side of the sided portion of the case body.

In an embodiment, the edge of the sided portion of the sided portion of the case body has a curved portion to guide the lid attaching the interior side of the sided portion of the case body.

In an embodiment, the first magnetic member is a substantially L-shaped member mounted at a corner of the case body.

In an embodiment, the support frame is a rectangular frame with four corners to be connected to the sided portion of the case body.

These together with other objects of the invention, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the invention, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure. For a better understanding of the invention, its operating advantages and the specific objects attained by its uses, reference should be had to the accompanying drawings and descriptive matter in which there are illustrated preferred embodiments of the invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the lid opened;

FIG. 2 is an enlarged view of the corner of the sided portion of the case body of the preferred embodiment of the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, showing the lid closed; and

FIG. 4 is a sectional view along the 4-4 line of FIG. 3.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention will be clearer from the following description when viewed together with the accompanying drawings, which show, for purpose of illustrations only, the preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

Referring to FIGS. 1-4, a luggage in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a case 10, four wheels 12 connected to a bottom of the case 10, and a telescoping handle 14 mounted on a back of the case 10.

The case 10 has a case body 16 and a lid 18. The lid 18 has an end hinged to the case body 16 to be opened and closed. Two connecting members 20 have opposite end connected to the case body 16 and the lid 18 to limit a range of the lid 18 to be opened.

The case body 16 has a sided portion 22 and a support frame 24 connected to an interior side of the sided portion 22. The case 10 further is provided with a lock member 26 on the sided portion 22 to be secured with a latch 28 of the lid 18. The support frame 24 is a rectangular frame with four curved corners. In an embodiment, the support frame 24 and the sided portion 22 is a single element. As shown in FIG. 4, the support frame 24 has an outer surface 30 facing the lid 18, and the outer surface 30 of the support frame 24 is lower than an edge 32 of the sided portion 22. The edge 32 of the sided portion 22 has a curved portion 34. Two first magnetic members 36 are mounted on the outer surface 30 of the support frame 24. In the present embodiment, the first magnetic members 36 are two L-shaped magnets mounted on the upper corners of the support frame 24, respectively. The first magnetic members 36 are kept a predetermined distance from the interior side of the sided portion 22, which means that a gap 38 is left between each first magnetic member and the interior side of the sided portion 22. Tops of the first magnetic members 36 still are lower than the edge of the sided portion 22. A fabric (not shown) is connected to the sided portion 22, and covers the support frame 24 and the first magnetic members 36.

The lid 18 has a sided portion 22 and two second magnetic members 40 mounted on an edge of the sided portion 22. In the present embodiment, the second magnetic members 40 are two iron pieces mounted at upper corners of the edge of the lid 18 to be attracted to the first magnetic members 36. In another embodiment, the first magnetic members 36 on the case body 16 are iron pieces, and the second magnetic members 40 on the lid 18 are magnets. Yet in another embodiment, both the first and the second magnetic members 36, 40 are magnets with opposite magnetic poles facing each other. The edge of the lid 18 has a curved portion 42 as well. In the present preferred embodiment, a rubber member 44 is connected to the lid 18 to embed the second magnetic members 40 therein, and the curved portion 42 is formed on the rubber member 44.

When the lid 18 is moved toward the case body 16, the second magnetic members 40 on the lid 18 are attracted to the first magnetic members 36 on the case body 16 to force the lid 18 connecting to the case body 16 and make the latch 28 locked with the lock member 26. When the lid 18 is closed, the edge of the lid 18 has a portion touching the interior side of the sided portion 22 of the case body 16. At this time, the curved portions 34, 42 of the case body 16 and the lid 18 are helpful to engaging the edge of the lid 18 with the sided portion 22 of the case body 16, and the case body 16 and the lid 18 each has a portion overlapped when the lid 18 is closed.

While we have shown and described various embodiments in accordance with the present invention, it is clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
