Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve

Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve allows for multiple sealable compartments made from plastic, paper, foil, rubber, latex or compatible combinations in one bag. It is made for home, industrial or commercial usage such as pharmaceutical, medical packaging and food accommodations for retail marketing, storage or transportation of product and other uses. Compartments can be filled with solids or liquids and/or coolants or combinations. The size of the reusable flexible multi-compartmental containers vary from very small (less than one inch or 2.5 cm) to extra large (hundreds of inches or cms) and are amenable to various modifications and alternative forms. The sealing channel dividers consist of channel strips that have solid raised centers and mating strips with two sealing opposing raised sides permitting opening and resealing of multiple separate compartments. A gusset added to each side and to the bottom of a compartment allows expansion.

Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

A huge number of and a wide variety of bags are produced each day for consumer convenience. Plastic bags are commonly used for food packaging such as sandwich bags of freeze bags made to package or to store food. The current such bags are commonly single compartment plastic film sealed on the sides and the bottom made from thermoplastic typically closed with a tie wire, adhesive, or a plastic zipper examples of which are sold by the S.C. Johnson Company of Racine, Wis., USA, under trademark Ziploc™.

Every time an Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve is made from plastic it creates multiple compartments and a minimum of one plastic bag is eliminated from circulation in the general population making this invention cost effective and eco system assisted by effectively elimination one single compartment bag from the environment for each and every compartment added with an Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve. This significantly reduces and partially eliminates plastic waste pollution that is known to kill and significantly impact animals and other life forms. This multi-compartmental bag may be made from plastic, paper, foil, rubber, latex and any other combinations thereof or other design suitable material. The bags allow for other design suitable Materials to be used depending upon its intended use.

The multi-compartmental bags have unlimited design usages such as separation of distinct items, organizational use, home use, industrial use, commercial use, pharmaceutical, medical packaging and food accommodations which can be used for sale, storage or transportation of goods and material. The compartments may be made with see through or solid non-visible sheeting. Size of the multi-compartmental bags is not limited depending upon the containment accommodated and suitable material used to create the container. They can vary in size from very small (less than one inch or 2.5 cm) or extra large (hundreds of inches or cms)

BRIEF SUMMARY OF INVENTION

This invention makes it possible to convert two bags into 1 bag. It allows for multiple compartments to be put together in one plastic or other suitable material zip seal bag. The Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve design makes it possible to increase the number of compartments in one plastic bag simply by adding another Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve. Every time one Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve is added, the need for an additional plastic or other suitable material bag is eliminated, thereby reducing the cost of the production of the bag and making the bag more efficient and effectively reducing waste. Each time an Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve is added, it doubles the number of tillable sealable compartments in each bag. The compartments can be filled with solids or liquids and/or coolants or combinations.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING

FIG. 1 is a example diagram of a plastic sealable (and resealable) bag with a center Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve at the top, designated as Number 1 (left side of middle sheeting) and Number 2 (right side of middle sheeting)

The portion of the zip seal designated as Number 3 is the inside of the first single sheeting on the left side and is made with a female zip seal on the right side of that single sheeting. Number 4 is the inside of the single sheeting on the right side and is made with a female zip seal on the left side of that single sheeting. Number 5 is the outside on the left side of the first single sheeting. Number 6 is the left side of the middle or second single sheeting with two male zip seals, one on the left side of the middle single sheeting (Number 1) and the other on the right side of the middle single sheeting (Number 2). Number 7 is the inside of the third single sheeting on the right side and is made with a female zip seal on the left side of the single sheeting (Number 4).

The bottoms of the four sides on the two outside sheetings and the bottom two sides of the middle sheeting and the three ends of the bottom of the three sheetings are heat sealed together and is the completion of a two compartment bag out of a total of 3 sheetings with the Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve in the center.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The general aim of this invention is to provide a new and improved container whose interior is divided into separate compartments. The number of the separated compartments contained in the middle of the bag is determined by the number of dual Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channels With Sleeve that are added. Each single Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve that is added creates one separate additional compartment, a total of two compartments. If another single dual Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve is added, that creates one more separate additional compartment, a total of three compartments. The bags may be modified to produce any desired number of compartments—two, three, four, five, etc.

For purposes of illustration, the bag includes at least two upright side panels made from a flexible piece of heat sealable material or from flexible material with a heat sealable coating as expressed in the invention drawing on page 3. The Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve is made by adhering two zip seal ribbons, back-to-back, creating one dual sided zip seal channel (center) allowing for additional zip seal ribbons and sleeves to be attached comprising of multiple compartments. In doing so, reducing plastic waste into the circulation into the population and eco system by at least 50% or more depending on the amount of compartments created.

The Opposing Sided Divider Zip Seal Channel With Sleeve exceeds the capabilities of single sided zip seal ribbons in circulation today by allowing the zipper ribbon to be sealed on both sides or mated on both sides as opposed to just one side creating multiple more efficient compartments using less material as shown in the drawing on page 3.

The foldable addition of a gusset may be added to each side of a compartment and to the bottom increments allowing each compartment of the bag to expand to have additional width of each compartment in the bag and conveniently permitting expansion to contain significantly more storage space. The joinder of the sides of the sheeting and the bottom ends of each sheeting to one another creates sealing of each individual compartment subject to its zip seal opener and closer on each individual compartment. The proposed bags may be constructed from a combination of materials in one bag such as foil and flexible plastic causing a compatible combination for the product to be filled into the bag.

This unique multi-compartment configuration provides for distinct opening accessibility or closing ability for multiple separate compartments and reusable flexible containers. While the invention is amenable to various modifications and alternative forms, specifics thereof have been shown by way of the drawing on page 3. The intention is not to limit the invention to the particular embodiments described herein, but to cover all possible modifications, equivalents and alternatives falling within the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claim.

Each plastic sealing channel divider consists of two opposing raised sides that mate. One channel strip has a solid raised center and the mating strip has two raised sides fitting along each side of the solid raised channel strip. The center channel consists of two additional sealing plastic opposing sides with one mating center channel strip seal for each opposing side of the center channel seal strip creating two additional sealable compartments in one bag. The purpose of the center channel design allows for two exterior plastic sleeves consisting of two center channel zip seals, one for each opposing side of the center channel which creates two compartments in one bag with one zip seal promoting less production of hazardous waste and to help our economy by increasing individual efficiency as well as organization.
