BAG BODY

A bag body is disclosed, which is adapted to receive objects, including an inner layer, an interlayer, and an outer layer, wherein the inner layer is closer to the objects received therein than the outer layer is. A material of the inner layer could be engaged with a hook fastener. The interlayer is located between the inner layer and the outer layer, and is made of a waterproof and moisture-wicking material. Whereby, the bag body could effectively resist external water from getting in, and the water vapor inside the bag body could be effectively exhausted outward. The inner layer could be engaged with objects with a hook fastener, whereby such objects could be properly placed in the bag body, and therefore could be easily found and retrieved.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Technical Field

The present invention relates to a bag body, and more particularly to a waterproof and moisture-wicking bag body.

2. Description of Related Art

Typically, the waterproof property for bags is realized by using waterproof fabrics (e.g., plastic fabrics) made of petrochemical raw materials. Due to the high-density structure of the waterproof fabrics, such bags can be waterproof and windproof.

However, the waterproof fabrics mentioned above have limited plasticity. Therefore, such materials may not be available in various colors. Furthermore, the surface of waterproof fabrics is flat and smooth, which makes them not easy to have various patterns produced thereon. As a result, the bags made of the aforementioned waterproof fabrics are usually dull in appearance.

In addition, bags made of waterproof fabrics are not moisture-wicking, and therefore are not suitable to carry fresh food such as vegetables or fruits, for the environment in the bag would accelerate the process of rot.

Therefore, how to make a bag which is waterproof, moisture-wicking, and good looking at the same time has become a main topic in the industry.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the above, the primary objective of the present invention is to provide a bag body, which is waterproof, air-permeable, beautiful, and could carry a wider variety of objects.

To achieve the objective of the present invention, the present invention provides a bag body, which is adapted to receive objects, including an inner layer, an interlayer, and an outer layer, wherein the inner layer is closer to the objects received therein than the outer layer is. A material of the inner layer is adapted to be engaged with a hook fastener. The interlayer is located between the inner layer and the outer layer, and is made of a waterproof and moisture-wicking material.

With the waterproof and moisture-wicking interlayer, the bag body could effectively resist external water from getting in, and the water vapor inside the bag body could be effectively exhausted outward, whereby the bag body could be moisture-wicking. Also, the inner layer could be engaged with an object having a hook fastener to place the object in a certain place, whereby the object in the bag body could be easily found and retrieved.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

A bag body 1 of an embodiment of the present invention is illustrated in FIG. 1 to FIG. 3, wherein the bag body 1 is provided to form a space therein, which is adapted to receive objects. In the embodiment, each of two lateral sides of the bag body 1 is connected to a handle 2, which is adapted to be held.

As shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, in the embodiment, the bag body 1 is made of a fabric material 10, wherein the fabric material 10 includes an inner layer 12, an interlayer 14, and an outer layer 16, which are sequentially engaged with each other.

The inner layer 12 forms an inner surface of the bag body 1, and is made of an air-permeable material. In other embodiments, the inner layer 12 could be further provided with a soft material. In comparison to the outer layer 16, the inner layer 12 is closer to the objects received inside the bag body 1. Furthermore, the material of the inner layer 12 could be engaged with a hook fastener. For instance, the inner layer 12 could be made of felt, whereby a surface thereof not engaged with other layers could be engaged with a hook fastener.

The interlayer 14 is engaged between the inner layer 12 and the outer layer 16, wherein the interlayer 14 is made of a waterproof and moisture-wicking material. In the embodiment, the interlayer 14 is made of a porous material, e.g. expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (e-PTFE). However, the selection of this specific material is not a limitation of the present invention. A surface of the interlayer 14 has a plurality of pores, wherein the pores could be passed through by water vapor, but could not be passed through by liquid water. Whereby, the water vapor adsorbed by the inner layer 12 of the bag body 1 could be exhausted out from the bag body 1 through the pores of the interlayer 14. Preferably, a diameter of each of the pores is between 0.0004 micrometers and 100 micrometers to achieve effects of waterproof and moisture-wicking at the same time.

It is worth mentioning that, the aforementioned porous material of said interlayer 14 is not a limitation of the present invention. In other embodiments, the interlayer 14 could be made of a non-porous hydrophilic film of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). However, this is not a limitation of the present invention either. Since the intermolecular force in liquid water is stronge, water would not be able to pass through such a hydrophilic film, and therefore the interlayer 14 could provide a waterproof effect. Furthermore, water or water vapor inside the bag body 1 could be absorbed by the hydrophilic functional group of TPU, and then exhausted outward by capillary action, whereby the bag body 1 could be waterproof, but also absorptive and moisture-wicking.

The outer layer 16 is air-permeable. Therefore, the moisture absorbed by the inner layer 12 could be exhausted out from the bag body 1 through the pores of the interlayer 14 and the outer layer 16. Depending on the required patterns or colors, the outer layer 16 could be made of different materials such as cotton, hemp, wool, silk, nylon, polyester, etc. In other embodiments, the materials of the outer layer 16 are not necessary to be selected from the above-mentioned materials, and could be made of merely one single material or multiple materials knitted together to provide various appearances.

With said fabric material 10, an appearance of the bag body 1 could be made of different materials, which provides a wider variety of appearances in comparison to the conventional bag body. Furthermore, the bag body 1 could also produce different tactile impressions to meet various preferences in this way.

It is worth mentioning that, said fabric material 10 is absorptive and air-permeable, so that moisture of objects received inside the bag body 1 could be exhaust out of the bag body 1, which helps to preserve objects such as fresh food.

Also, as shown in FIG. 4, an object 20 which has a hook fastener 222 could be placed inside the bag body 1 by detachably engaging the hook fastener 222 and a surface 12a of the inner layer 12. Whereby, the object 20 could be fixed at a certain place on the surface 12a of the inner layer 12 as preferred. Once the object 20 is engaged with the surface 12a of the inner layer 12 through the hook fastener 222, the object 20 could stay at where it is positioned even if the bag is swayed, shaken, or moved. Therefore, the object 20 could be easily found in the bag body 1.

Furthermore, the aforementioned design would be useful while placing the object 20, especially when there is more than one object 20 placed inside the bag body 1.

The aforementioned object 20 could be a pack, such as a toolkit pack, a coin purse, a cosmetic pouch, etc., or a box, such as a toolkit box, a matchbox, a pencil case, a business card holder, etc., which is adapted to receive small items. Of course, these examples are not a limitation of the present invention. In other embodiments, the object 20 could be any object having the hook fastener 222 which could be engaged with the surface 12a of the inner layer 12 of the bag body 1.

In conclusion, the bag body 1 of the present invention could effectively resist external water from getting in, and would be absorptive and air-permeable, which better preserves the object 20 received inside. In addition, the bag body 1 could have at least one object 20 engaged at any place therein as preferred. In this way, the object 20 could be adequately received therein, and could be easily found and retrieved from the bag body 1.

It must be pointed out that the embodiments described above are only some preferred embodiments of the present invention. The handles 2 connected to the bag body 1 are not a limitation of the present invention. Said hook fastener 222 has a plurality hooks (not shown) in the aforementioned embodiment. However, this is not a limitation of the present invention, either. All equivalent structures which employ the concepts disclosed in this specification and the appended claims should fall within the scope of the present invention.

Claims

1. A bag body, which is adapted to receive objects, characterized in that:

the bag body comprises an inner layer, an interlayer, and an outer layer, wherein the inner layer is closer to the objects received therein than the outer layer is; a material of the inner layer is adapted to be engaged with a hook fastener; the interlayer is located between the inner layer and the outer layer, and is made of a waterproof and moisture-wicking material.

2. The bag body of claim 1, wherein the inner layer, the interlayer, and the outer layer are sequentially engaged with each other.

3. The bag body of claim 1, wherein the inner layer is made of felt.

4. The bag body of claim 1, wherein the material of the interlayer is porous.

5. The bag body of claim 4, wherein the porous material of the interlayer has a plurality of pores, each of which has a diameter between 0.0004 micrometers and 100 micrometers.

6. The bag body of claim 1, wherein the material of the interlayer is expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (e-PTFE).

7. The bag body of claim 1, wherein the material of the interlayer is a non-porous hydrophilic film of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
