FIG. 1 illustrates the wearable garment 100 for nursing with full sleeve 102a and 102b, in accordance with at least one embodiment. The garment 100 includes a back body member 104, a left panel 106, and a right panel 108, plurality of fasteners 402, 502 (shown and explained in conjunction with FIG. 4 and FIG. 5), a first pocket 304 (shown and explained in conjunction with FIG. 3), a second pocket 306 (shown and explained in conjunction with FIG. 3), and plurality of loop holes 202, 204, 206 (shown and explained in conjunction with FIG. 2).

The back body member 104 includes a left portion and a right portion, which may be mirror image. The left panel 106 is attached to the back body member 104 at the left portion of the back body member 104. The right panel 108 is attached to the back body member 104 at the right portion of the back body member 104. The left panel 106 and the right panel 108 overlap each other when the wearable garment is donned, in order to enable a user to nurse a baby, as seen in FIGS. 6 and 7.

The present wearable garment 100 includes various options including but not limited to such as long sleeves 102a, 102b (FIG. 1) with a hood 302 (FIG. 3), long sleeves 102a, 102b without hood 302 (FIG. 1), sleeveless with hood 302 (FIG. 7), and sleeveless without hood 302 (FIG. 8). Where provided, the hood 302 may be detachably attached to the back body panel 104, such as by a zipper or slide fastener, buttons, snaps, or hook and loop fastener, for example (these options are not shown).

FIG. 2 illustrates a sleeveless wearable garment 200 for nursing, in accordance with at least one embodiment. A plurality of loop holes 202. 204, and 206 enable the user to adjust the left panel 106 or the right panel 108 in order to provide access for the baby to a user's breast for nursing. As employed herein, fasteners refer to individual fasteners such as 402 and 502, shown as buttons, and 202, 204, 206, and 208, shown as loop openings. Fastenings refer to a fastener such as a button (fastener 402 or 502), taken together with a mating second fastener, such as loop opening 202, 204, 206, or 208.

FIG. 3 illustrates the wearable garment 100 for nursing with hood 302, in accordance with at least one embodiment. The first pocket 304 is located on the left panel 106. The second pocket 306 is located on the right panel 108. The first pocket 304 and the second pocket 306 may be large lined pockets, e.g., large enough to accommodate baby bottles and other accessories (none shown).

FIG. 4 illustrates a first exemplary view 400 of a wearable garment (e.g., wearable garment 100) for nursing, in accordance with at least one embodiment. FIG. 4 should be read and interpreted in conjunction with FIG. 5. FIG. 5 illustrates a second exemplary view 500 of the wearable garment for nursing of FIG. 4, in accordance with at least one embodiment. The fasteners 402, and 502 are located respectively at a shoulder of the left panel 106 and a shoulder of the right panel 108. This facilitates affixing the left panel 106 to the right panel 108 or affixing the right panel 108 to the left panel 106, so that the panels 106, and 108 are secured over a user's shoulders. The plurality of fasteners 402 and 502 may include a plurality of buttons. The first button (fastener 402) may be located proximate the right shoulder of the user (e.g., on body back member 104 or alternatively on right panel 108), and the second button (fastener 502) may be located inside the left shoulder of the user (e.g., on body back member 104 or alternatively on left panel 106).

FIG. 6 illustrates a third exemplary view of the wearable garment 100 for nursing, in accordance with at least one embodiment, in accordance with at least one embodiment. The three loop holes 202, 204, 206 allow the user, i.e. the mother, to decide her own level of privacy. That is, any of loop holes 202, 204, or 206 may be used to engage the button 402, thereby varying how loosely the wearable garment 100 is draped over the torso of the user. Because of this variability, a wearable garment as set forth herein (e.g., wearable garment 100, 200, etc.) is useful from the newborn stage to the toddler.

FIG. 7 illustrates a baby carried by a mother wearing the wearable garment 100.

FIG. 8 illustrates a wearable garment (e.g., the wearable garment 100) stretched out to reveal fasteners.

Any feature of a wearable garment (e.g., wearable garment 100) presented herein in terms of being optional may be combined with any other feature, or omitted, where feasible. A wearable garment (e.g., wearable garment 100) may be arranged such that fasteners shown on the right may be relocated on the left, and vice versa.

The material used for manufacturing the present wearable garment 100 may include but is not limited to performance spandex, jersey cotton, and fleece. These materials are used to provide warmth for mother and baby while baby is in the carrier. Thus the present wearable garment 100 may also be used as a garment that the mother wears over her clothing. When the baby is ready to breastfeed, the mother is able to simply drape one of the front panels (left panel or right panel) over the baby to act as a cover for her privacy. The sleeveless version of a wearable garment according to the present disclosure is ideal for warm weather. This may be worn over the baby carrier to provide privacy for the baby, and mother. The sleeveless wearable garment works the same way in as the full sleeve wearable garment to breastfeeding.

Thus the present invention combines both the essential nursing cover and the beneficial baby-wearing jacket to formulate a comfortable, functional, chic, and fashionable blouse. The present invention further helps the upcoming mother to ease the stress of breastfeeding and feel beautiful, empowered, and confident.

No language in the specification should be construed as indicating any non-claimed element as essential to the practice of the invention.

It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modification and variations can be made to the present invention without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. There is no intention to limit the invention to the specific form or forms enclosed, but on the contrary, the intention is to cover all modification, alternative construction, and equivalents falling within the spirit and scope of the invention, as defined in the appended claims. Thus, it is intended that the present invention cover the modification and variation of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
