Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a seat pad, and more particularly to a combination seat pad that is composed of a circular element and at least one annular element.

2. Description of Related Art

With reference to FIG. 7, a conventional inflatable seat pad comprises a circular pad body 50. The pad body 50 has multiple protuberances 52 formed on a top surface of the pad body 50. A grip hole 54 is defined through the pad body 50 at a position adjacent to a periphery of the pad body 50 to allow a user to grip or to move the pad body 50 conveniently.

However, the conventional pad body 50 is formed as a single piece, so the conventional seat pad has only one color. Therefore, the appearance of the conventional seat pad is not aesthetically attractive. In addition, to store or transport the conventional pad body takes a large space and is not convenient.

To overcome the shortcomings, the present invention tends to provide a seat pad to mitigate or obviate the aforementioned problems.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The main objective of the invention is to provide a seat pad that is composed of multiple concentric elements.

The seat pad has a circular central pad element and at least one annular pad element. The circular central pad element is inflatable. The at least one annular pad element is inflatable and is mounted concentrically around the central pad element. At least one set of an annular combination recess and an annular combination protrusion is formed between the central pad element and the at least one annular pad element to connect the central pad element and the at least one annular pad element with each other. The combination recess of each one of the at least one set has at least one engaging rib formed on an inner surface of the combination recess. The combination protrusion of each one of the at least one set has at least one engaging recess formed in an outer surface of the combination protrusion and engaged respectively with the at least one engaging rib of the combination recess.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, a seat pad in accordance with the present invention comprises a circular central pad element 10 and at least one annular pad element 20. The central pad element 10 is inflatable and may have a nozzle 102. The at least one annular pad element 20 is mounted concentrically around the central pad element 10. Each annular pad element 20 is inflatable and may have a nozzle 202. In the first embodiment, the at least one annular pad element 20 is implemented as one in amount. The annular pad element 20 is mounted around the circular central pad element 10. A combination recess 12 is defined around an outer periphery of the central pad element 10. The combination recess 12 may be concave in cross sectional shape. The annular pad element 20 has an annular combination protrusion 22 formed on and protruding from an inner periphery of the annular pad element 20 to engage with the combination recess 12 in the central pad element 10. The combination protrusion 22 may be convex in cross sectional shape. With the engagement of the combination recess 12 and the combination protrusion 22, the central pad element 10 is securely combined with the annular pad element 20. In addition, two engaging ribs 14 are formed respectively on a top side and a bottom side of an inner surface of the combination recess 12. Two engaging recesses 24 are formed respectively in a top side and a bottom side of an outer surface of the combination protrusion 22 and are engaged respectively with the engaging ribs 14 in the combination recess 12. With the engagement between the engaging ribs 14 and the engaging recesses 24, the combination between the central pad element 10 and the annular pad element 20 is enhanced.

With such an arrangement, as the seat pad in accordance with the present invention is composed of a central pad element 10 and at least one annular pad element 20, the pad elements 10,20 can be manufactured in different colors or the central pad element 10 in a color can be selectively combined with different annular pad elements 20 in different colors. Accordingly, the appearance of the seat pad is aesthetically attractive. In addition, because the annular pad element 20 is detachable from the central pad element 10, the space for storing or transporting the seat pad can be reduced.

With reference to FIG. 4, in the second embodiment, two annular pad elements 20,20A are implemented and include an innermost annular pad element 20A and an outermost annular pad element 20. The innermost annular pad element 20A is combined with and mounted around the central pad element 10A, and the outermost annular pad element 20 is combined with and mounted around the innermost annular pad element 20A. A combination recess 12A and a combination protrusion 22A are formed respectively on the outer periphery of the central pad element 10A and the innermost periphery of the innermost annular pad element 20A to combine the innermost annular pad element 20A with the central pad element 10A. A combination recess 26A and a combination protrusion 22 are formed respectively on the outer periphery of the innermost annular pad element 20A and the outer periphery of the outermost annular pad element 20 to combine the outermost annular pad element 20 with the innermost annular pad element 20A. Accordingly, a round seat pad is formed by the central pad element 10A and the annular pad elements 20,20A.

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 5, a curved grip hole 28 is defined through the outermost annular pad element 20 to allow a user to grip or to move the seat pad conveniently. In addition, the thickness of the outermost annular pad element 20 is gradually decreased from the inner periphery to the outer periphery. Furthermore, each of the central pad element 10,10A and the annular pad elements 20,20A has multiple protuberances 104,204 formed on the top surface of the pad element 10,10A,20,20A. The protuberances 104,204 can provide a massaging effect to a user who sits on the seat pad. Alternatively, the positions of the combination recess 12A,26A and the combination protrusion 22,22A can be changed. This means that the combination protrusion is formed on the outer periphery of the central pad element 10,10A or the annular pad element 20,20A, and the combination recess is formed in the inner periphery of the annular pad element 20,20A.

With reference to FIGS. 5 and 6, in the third embodiment, the central pad 10B element may have a rod hole 106 defined through the center of the central pad element 10B. With the rod hole 106, multiple seat pads can be mounted around a rod and are stacked with each other. Accordingly, the space for storing the seat pads can be effectively reduced.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present invention have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the invention, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in detail, especially in matters of shape, size, and arrangement of parts within the principles of the invention to the full extent indicated by the broad general meaning of the terms in which the appended claims are expressed.
