CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This application is a nonprovisional application of and claims priority to co-pending provisional application Ser. No. 62/397,488, filed Sep. 21, 2016, and which is herein incorporated by reference in its entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to drinking accessory apparatuses. More particularly, the present invention relates to pouring accessories to maximize drinking utility.

BACKGROUND

People drink liquids, and pour liquid into drinking receptacles, such as cups, or beer mugs, for that purpose. Certain types of liquids, such as beer or ale, tend to foam in the pouring action. When a drinking receptacle is placed on a flat surface into which a foam inducing liquid is poured, the liquid will typically foam. What is needed is an apparatus that to eliminate or reduce the foam generated.

SUMMARY

A drinking accessory apparatus to provide the correct angle for optimum liquid pour into a drinking receptacle, having a base with a slanted drinking receptacle indent and a slot, and a removable angled support arm with a slanted face.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Before beginning a detailed description, mention of the following is in order. When appropriate, like reference materials and characters are used to designate identical, corresponding, or similar components in different figures. The figures associated with this disclosure typically are not drawn with dimensional accuracy to scale, i.e., such drawings have been drafted with a focus on clarity of understanding rather than dimensional accuracy.

In the interest of clarity, not all of the routine features of the implementations described herein are shown and described. It will, of course, be appreciated that in the development of any such actual implementation, numerous implementation-specific decisions must be made in order to achieve the developer's specific goals, such as compliance with application and business related constraints, and that these specific goals will vary from one implementation to another and from one developer to another. Moreover, it will be appreciated that such a development effort might be complex and time-consuming, but would nevertheless be a routine undertaking of engineering for those of ordinary skill in the art having the benefit of this disclosure.

As shown in FIGS. 1-8, a drinking accessory apparatus 10 to provide the correct angle for optimum liquid pour into a drinking receptacle 12 includes a base 14 with a slanted drinking receptacle indent 16, and a removable angled support arm 20. Removable angled support arm 20 fits into a slot 18 in said base 14. In use, a drinking receptacle 12, such as a cup or a growler, is placed in slanted drinking receptacle indent 16 and supported against a slanted face 22 of angled support arm 20, providing an angled drinking receptacle 12 into which liquid, such as beer, can be poured, optimizing the pour, such as by reducing or eliminating any foam generation. Drink accessory apparatus 10 is preferably made of wood, and can be made of alternative materials, such as plastic, metal, ceramic, and the like. Slanted drinking receptacle indent 16 can be provided with a textured surface cover, such as rubber, for a drinking receptacle 12 to be placed upon. Slanted face 22 of angled support arm 20 can be curved to match the curve of the surface of drinking receptacle 12. Support arm 20 is preferably 75 degrees in relation to the base 14, and can be in the range of 70 to 90 degrees in relation to the base 14.

Claims

1. A drinking accessory apparatus to provide a correct angle for optimum liquid pour into a drinking receptacle to reduce or eliminate foam, comprising:

a base with a slanted drinking receptacle indent and a slot, and
an angled support arm that removably fits into said slot in said base.

2. The drinking accessory apparatus of claim 1, wherein the angled support arm includes a slanted face upon which a drinking receptacle rests in use.

3. The drinking accessory apparatus of claim 2, wherein the slant face of an angled support arm is curved to match a curved surface of a drinking receptacle in use.

4. The drinking accessory apparatus of claim 1, wherein the angled support arm is angled 75 degrees in relation to the base.

5. The drinking accessory apparatus of claim 1, wherein the angled support arm is angled in the range of 70 to 90 degrees in relation to the base.

6. The drinking accessory apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a textured surface fitted in the receptacle indent onto which a drinking receptacle sits in use.

7. The drinking accessory apparatus of claim 6, wherein said textured surface is rubber.
