Description of the Related ArtExercise is considered a “stress” to many organs, but differs from the negative stress of everyday life in that the exercise stimulates the breakdown, repair and growth of muscles, ligaments, tendons and bones in the process of creating a stronger and more resilient body. People in modern world live a busy life. Stressful lifestyles and lack of exercise make people unhealthy and prone to several ailments like obesity and allergies. Due to lack of time, people avoid going to gym and try a number of ways to stay fit which can save the time. The number of ways includes, but not limited to, controlling the diet, wearing fitness gadgets or the like.
Apart from a healthy heart, fitness craze is now a way of life for a majority of individuals all around the globe. The current trend in cardiovascular activities is toward more moderate form of exercises which are performed over a longer duration, such as walking, bicycling, low impact aerobics and similar types of cardiovascular activities. It is a well known fact that movement of a muscle enhances the growth of new cell replacing the older ones in the muscle. A large variety of apparel, more particularly a workout apparel, are now-a-days available in the market that directly/indirectly help in exercising. A body shaper is a type of workout apparel which grips the body of a user tightly and results in sweat excretion. A wearer does a kind of workout even without going to gym or the like just by wearing the workout apparel.

As mentioned, there remains a need for simple and inexpensive workout apparel with resistance to the user's body movement. The embodiments herein achieve this by providing multiple pads at the joint positions of the workout apparel. Referring now to the drawings, and more particularly to
The first resistance pad 104A is coupled to a left and a right shoulder of the resistance workout shirt 102A. When the user lifts the left and/or right arm up, the first resistance pad 104A restricts the user to lift the left and/or right arm up. The restriction compels the user to apply more force to lift the left and/or right arm up, so the user burns excess of multiple body fuels in pectoral muscles. In one embodiment, the multiple body fuels include, but not limited to, glucose (from carbohydrates), fatty acids (from fat) and amino acids (from protein) or the like in the pectoral muscles, the brachialis, the brachioradialis, the oblique muscles, and the gluteus muscles. In one embodiment, the pectoral muscles are one of the paired muscles which cover the front of the ribcage.
The second resistance pad 104B is coupled to an elbow joint of a left arm and a right arm of the resistance workout shirt 102A. When the user folds the left and/or right aim, the second resistance pad 104B restricts the user to fold the left and/or right arm. The restriction compels the user to apply more force to fold the left and/or right aim, so the user burns excess of multiple body fuels in brachialis and brachioradialis. In one embodiment, the brachialis and the brachioradialis are the muscles of the arms.
The third resistance pad 104C is coupled to a left side and a right side of the upper waist of the resistance workout shirt 102A. When the user bends toward left or right, the third resistance pad 104C restricts the user to bend towards left or right. The restriction compels the user to apply more force to bend towards left or right, so the user burns excess of multiple body fuels in the oblique muscles. In one embodiment, the oblique muscles are the muscles of the lateral anterior abdomen.
The forth resistance pad 104D is coupled to a left side and a right side of the upper portion of the resistance workout pant 102B. When the user lifts the left and/or right leg up, the fourth resistance pad 104D restricts the user to lift the left and/or right leg up. The restriction compels the user to apply more force to lift the left and/or right leg up, so the user burns excess of multiple body fuels in the gluteus muscles. In one embodiment, the gluteus muscles are responsible for movement of the thigh.
In one embodiment, the fabric of the resistance workout shirt and the resistance workout pant may be manufactured from cotton, flax, wool, ramie, silk or the like. The resistance material is, but not limited to, rubber and/or latex material.
The muscles burn various kinds of fats, carbohydrates and/or proteins while exercising. The resistance workout apparel is designed to create resistance to strengthen and tone the muscles, while performing “everyday” physical activity such as walking, running or the like. The resistance material/elastic material is intergraded strategically in places to create the most resistance with simple movement. The movement of the user's body with restriction increases the oxygen demand of the user's body. Increase in oxygen intake improves cardiovascular health and builds muscles, thereby producing desired results more effectively and seamlessly.
The resistance pad technology pinpoints and focuses on each muscle area rather than one or two pads targeting on a group of muscles. Each pad of the resistance workout apparel works individually to provide resistance against simple muscle movements for a single muscle area.
