DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new exercising device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the weighted exercising device 10 generally comprises a shoe 12 that is configured to couple to a foot of a user. A plate 14 is coupled to a sole 16 of the shoe 12. The plate 14 is rigid. In one embodiment, the plate 14 comprises metal. In another embodiment, the plate 14 is substantially complementary to the sole 16 of the shoe 12.

A plurality of first connectors 18 is coupled to the plate 14. In one embodiment, the plurality of first connectors 18 comprises three first connectors 18, such that two first connectors 18 are positioned proximate to a back 20 of the plate 14 and one first connector 18 is positioned proximate to a front 22 of the plate 14.

A plurality of second connectors 24 is coupled to the sole 16 of the shoe 12. The second connectors 24 are complementary to the first connectors 18. Each second connector 24 is positioned on the shoe 12 such that the second connector 24 is positioned to couple to an associated first connector 18 to couple the shoe 12 to the plate 14. In another embodiment, each first connector 18 comprises a hole 26 through the plate 14 and a nut 28. In this embodiment, each second connector 24 comprises a threaded screw 30. The threaded screws 30 are complementary to the nuts 28.

A pair of couplers 32 is coupled singly to and extends from opposing sides 34 of the plate 14 proximate to the back 20 of the plate 14. In one embodiment, the pair of couplers 32 comprises a channel 36 that extends between the opposing sides 34 of the plate 14. A rod 38 is positioned through the channel 36 such that threaded sections 40 of the rod 38 protrude from each opposing side 34 of the plate 14. In another embodiment, the rod 38 is coupled to the plate 14. Each of a pair of collars 42 is complementary to and reversibly couplable to the threaded sections 40.

A plurality of weights 44 is selectively couplable to the couplers 32. In one embodiment, each weight 44 comprises a disk 46. A penetration 48 is axially positioned through the disk 46. In another embodiment, the disk 46 comprises metal. The penetration 48 is positioned through the disk 46 such that the penetration 48 is positioned for insertion of a respective threaded section 40 of the rod 38. The respective threaded section 40 is positioned to couple to a respective collar 42, such that the weight 44 is coupled to the plate 14.

A strap 50 is coupled to and extends from the plate 14. Opposing ends 52 of the strap 50 are positionable proximate to a top 54 of the shoe 12. A fastener 56 is coupled to the strap 50. The fastener 56 is couplable to the strap 50 to form a loop 58 around the shoe 12. The fastener 56 is positioned on the strap 50 such that the fastener 56 is positioned to couple to the strap 50 to couple the foot of the user to the plate 14. In one embodiment, the fastener 56 comprises a buckle 60.

In use, the second connectors 24 are positioned on the shoe 12 such that the second connector 24 are positioned to couple to the associated first connectors 18 to couple the shoe 12 to the plate 14. The shoe 12 is configured to couple to the foot of the user. The penetration 48 is positioned through the disk 46 such that the penetration 48 is positioned for insertion of the respective threaded section 40 of the rod 38. The respective threaded section 40 is positioned to couple to the respective collar 42 such that the weight 44 is coupled to the plate 14. The plurality of weights 44 is selectively couplable to the plate 14 such that a selected degree of resistance is provided during exercise.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
