BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a sweatband, and more particularly, relates to a utility sweatband for receiving at least one article.

Descriptions of the Related Art

For convenience of movement, people taking part in ball games or outdoor sports often wear a sweatband to wipe the sweat instead of carrying a towel about.

Despite of this, people wearing the sweatband in the games or sports still have to carry such articles as purses, credit cards or keys about in order to buy water or foods immediately after end of the sports or unlock the door after returning home.

Although such articles as the purses, credit cards or keys that need to be carried about have small volumes and weights, frictions or collisions may occur between such articles due to the user's body swings during the ball games or outdoor sports to cause damage of the articles. Moreover, these articles swinging along with the swinging of the user's body also affect the athletic rhythm of the user.

Accordingly, an urgent need exists in the art to provide a utility sweatband that has not only the function of sweat wiping but also the function of receiving an article and keeping the article dry.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An objective of the present invention is to provide a utility sweatband which, while being worn by the user to wipe the sweat, also has the function of receiving an article in a waterproof state so as to closely receive the article therein.

Another objective of the present invention is to provide a utility sweatband, which has at least one sub-storage portion adapted to receive at least one small article, e.g., an inductive element, a positioning element or a key having a volume smaller than that of the aforesaid article so as to provide an induction function, a positioning function and/or a key-receiving function. Thereby, drop-off of the small article or damage of the small article due to frictions against the aforesaid article when being received together with the aforesaid article can be avoided.

The detailed technology and preferred embodiments implemented for the subject invention are described in the following paragraphs accompanying the appended drawings for people skilled in this field to well appreciate the features of the claimed invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a front view of a utility sweatband according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a side view of the utility sweatband according to the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a schematic view illustrating an inner surface of the utility sweatband according to the present invention when the inner surface is turned to the outside;

FIG. 4 is a schematic view of a sub-storage portion disposed on an outer surface of the sweatband body in the utility sweatband according to the present invention; and

FIG. 5 is a schematic view illustrating use of the sub-storage portion of the utility sweatband to receive a key according to the present invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The present invention relates to a utility sweatband adapted to be worn by a user and to receive at least one article.

First, please refer to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 together. The utility sweatband 100 of the present invention comprises a sweatband body 110 and a waterproof storage portion 120. The sweatband body 110 has an outer surface 112 and an inner surface 114 opposite the outer surface 112, and the waterproof storage portion 120 is stretchable and disposed on the inner surface 114.

Further speaking, as shown in FIG. 3, the inner surface 114 has an inner surface area, and the waterproof storage portion 120 covers at least a half of the inner surface area to maximize the receiving space of the waterproof receiving portion 120. However, this is not intended to limit the present invention. In other words, the waterproof storage portion 120 may also be stretchably disposed on the outer surface 112 that has an outer surface area, and the waterproof storage portion 120 covers at least a half of the outer surface area to maximize the receiving space of the waterproof storage portion 120.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the waterproof storage portion 120 is made of neoprene to achieve the purpose of being stretchable.

Please refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 together. Similarly in a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the waterproof storage portion 120 has two openings 122 for receiving two articles 200 respectively. However, depending on different needs in use, changes may be made to the number, the form or the size of the openings 122 so as to receive articles such as credit cards, keys, small changes or even mobile phones respectively.

It shall be particularly appreciated that, because the waterproof storage portion 120 of the present invention has both the waterproof function and the stretchable property, the sweat absorbed in the sweatband body 110 when the user wipes the sweat during a sport activity will not stain the article 200, thus keeping the article 200 dry; and as shown in FIG. 2, when the stretchable waterproof storage portion 120 is stretched at the left and the right sides respectively by hands 300 of the user, articles 200 of different profiles (e.g., a credit card, a key, small changes, or a mobile phone) can be fitted into the waterproof storage portion 120 to be closely received therein.

Referring to FIG. 1 again, the utility sweatband 100 of the present invention further comprises a sub-storage portion 130 disposed on the outer surface 112 or the inner surface 114 to receive at least one small article 210, e.g., an inductive element, a positioning element or a key, although it is not limited thereto. In other words, the utility sweatband 100 of the present invention may also comprise two or more sub-storage portions (not shown) to receive two or all of the inductive element, the positioning element and the key. Here, the inductive element or the positioning element may be a Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) element or a positioner for purpose of electronic purse payment or for satellite positioning.

It shall be particularly appreciated that, in the present invention, in addition to being disposed at a same side of the outer surface 112 or the inner surface 114, the waterproof storage portion 120 and the at least one sub-storage portion 130 may also be disposed at different sides of the outer surface 112 or the inner surface 114 depending on different needs in use.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the utility sweatband 100 of the present invention may further comprise a fixing element 140. In the embodiment shown, the fixing element 140 is disposed on the inner surface 114 of the utility sweatband 100 and is in the form of a rubber hook. This allows the key 210a or other articles that tend to drop off due to shaking of the hand to be hooked up by the fixing element 140 while still keeping the neat appearance of the utility sweatband 100 of the present invention.

For example, as shown in FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, the user may have the key 210a hooked up by the rubber hook (i.e., the fixing element 140) before putting the key 210a into the sub-storage portion 130, while other articles having a larger volume is put into the waterproof storage portion 120. Thereby, unexpected dropoff of the key 210a having a smaller volume when the article disposed in the waterproof storage portion 120 is accessed or during outdoor sports can be avoided, although this is not intended to limit the present invention. In other words, depending on different needs in use, the fixing element 140 of the utility sweatband 100 of the present invention may be disposed selectively on the outer surface 112 of the utility sweatband 100 or in the waterproof storage portion 120 or the sub-storage portion 130 to help in fixing the article 200 or the small article 210.

According to the above descriptions, the utility sweatband 100 of the present invention can not only be worn by the user to wipe the sweat, but also have the functions of receiving articles in a waterproof state to closely receive the articles therein, and this effectively avoids damage due to frictions or collisions between articles in the sports and avoids influences of swing of the articles on athletic rhythm of the user; and moreover, an inductive function or a positioning function may be provided by receiving an inductive element or a positioning element so as to provide functions of electronic purse payment or satellite positioning, thus enriching the functions thereof.

The above disclosure is related to the detailed technical contents and inventive features thereof. People skilled in this field may proceed with a variety of modifications and replacements based on the disclosures and suggestions of the invention as described without departing from the characteristics thereof. Nevertheless, although such modifications and replacements are not fully disclosed in the above descriptions, they have substantially been covered in the following claims as appended.
