GRIP FOR GOLF CLUB

The present invention to a grip for golf club, and provides a grip for golf club which improves the tightly coupling force between the lower part of the grip for golf club and the thumb and the index finger of the hand which is positioned at the relatively lower position especially at the time of swing. In the present invention, there are effects that the grip for golf club can be stably gripped by the thumb and the index finger without applying a large force since the diameter of the lower part of the grip for golf club is thick enough, as well as that the entire weight of the grip is considerably reduced so as to be at the level comparable to the usual grip due to a cut section which is formed by removing, among the lower part of the grip for golf club, the remaining portion except the portion where the thumb and the index finger of the hand which is positioned at the relatively lower position touch, and also that the upper end of a shaft can be easily inserted and the assembly is easy so that there is no worry of degradation of the productivity since the entire thickness of the lower narrow section can be small.

BACKGROUND (a) Technical Field

The present invention relates to a grip for golf club, and in particular, relates to a grip for golf club which improves the tightly coupling force between the lower part of the grip for golf club and the thumb and the index finger of the hand which is positioned at the relatively lower position especially at the time of swing.

(b) Background Art

The structure of the usual golf club is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. As can be seen in the drawings, the usual golf club is consisted of a head 2 for striking a golf ball provided at a low end of a shaft 3 and a grip 4 with which a player grips the club and which is provided at an upper end of the shaft 3, wherein the grip 4 has a form in which the diameter is gradually decreased going from a grip upper part 4a to a grip lower part 4b. As such, due to the low narrow condition in which the grip 4 is gradually narrowed going from the upper part to the lower part, it is hard to securely grip the lower part of the grip 4 with the thumb and the index finger, and as a result, there occur problems in that a fluctuation with the grip lower part occurs in the process of action from the top to the down swing so that the head 2 and the ball do not contact square at the time of impact whereby the direction of the ball becomes inaccurate and a loss in transmission of impact occurs.

To solve such problems, Korea Registered Utility 0412086 (the title of the device: a grip for golf club; hereinafter referred to as “reference invention 1”) has been suggested, and this golf club comprises a head for striking the golf ball provided at the lower end of a shaft and a grip formed at the upper end of the shaft, wherein the grip 14 has a shape in which the diameter is gradually increased going from an upper part of the grip 14 to a lower part of the grip 14 and a diameter expansion part 14c which is expanded and protruded than the size of the outer diameter of the upper part of the grip 14 is provided at the uppermost end of the grip 14.

In addition, Korea Registered Patent 10-0907302 (the title of the invention: a grip for golf club; hereinafter referred to as “reference invention 2”) has been suggested, and in the reference invention 2, the diameter is decreased from rear part to the fore part of the grip for golf club so as to form a depressed part, and the diameter is again expanded to form a convex part, so that there is an advantage that, in case of gripping with the hand, even when applying a small force to the thumb and the index finger of the right hand, the grip is stably supported and the swing can be carried out minimizing the fatigue of the fingers and the wrist.

Therefore, in both of these reference inventions 1 and 2, even if the user grips the grip light, there is no shaking of the club and an appropriate cocking is expected according to the magnitude of swing.

As such, since both of these reference inventions 1 and 2 are manufactured in the form in which the diameter is increased going to the lower part, there is an effect that the lower part of the grip and the thumb and the index finger are closely attached, however, the diameter is increased going to the lower part and the lower end which is practically not gripped is thick throughout it so that there occur problems that the weight is increased in this portion and it cannot be avoided that the weight of the grip becomes excessive and this greatly increases the weight of the grip so as to bring a detrimental result of making it hard to feel the weight of the head.

In addition, since a thick part is formed at the low part of the grip and the thick part is not easily expanded in the assembly process where the upper end of the shaft is inserted and combined, so that there occur problems that the insertion of the upper end of the shaft becomes difficult and the realization of the assembly process becomes very difficult.

SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

The present invention, in consideration of these problems, suggests a grip for golf club in which the diameter of the low part of the grip is made large so that the user can securely grip the lower part of the grip with the thumb and the index finger of the hand positioned at the relatively lower position without applying a large force, however, the entire weight of the grip is not increased so as to make the weight of the head to be felt, and the lower part of the grip where the diameter is large and the upper end of the shaft can be easily combined.

The present invention, to accomplish the above described object, provides a grip for golf club in which the diameter of the lower part of the grip for golf club is large, and a cut section is formed at the fore end of the lower part of the grip by cutting the remaining portion except the portion which the thumb and the index finger of the hand positioned at the relatively low position grip, and a lower narrow section is provided of which the diameter is decreased by being removed by the cut section so as to optimize the weight of the grip, and the upper end of the shaft can be easily inserted and combined by using the lower narrow section of the grip.

Effects of the Invention

As such, in the present invention, there are useful effects that the grip for golf club can be stably gripped by the thumb and the index finger without applying a large force since the diameter of the lower part of the grip for golf club is thick enough, as well as that the entire weight of the grip is considerably reduced so as to be at the level comparable to the usual grip having narrow lower portion and the feeling of weight of the head can be felt same as the usual golf club due to a cut section which is formed by removing, among the lower part of the grip for golf club, the remaining portion except the portion where the thumb and the index finger of the hand which is positioned at the relatively lower position touch, and also that the upper end of a shaft can be easily inserted and the assembly is easy so that there is no worry of degradation of the productivity since the entire thickness of the lower narrow section can be small.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The embodiment of the present invention is described in detail as follows with reference to the accompanying drawings as follows so that those skilled in the art to which the present invention belongs can easily embody it.

A perspective view and a front view of the basic embodiment of the present invention are respectively shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. As can be seen in these drawings, the present invention has the structure in which a middle narrow section 200 is formed where the diameter is decreased from the upper end to the middle portion, a thick section 300 is formed where the diameter is gradually increased downward from the middle narrow section 200, and a cut section 400 is formed at the lower end of the grip 100 so that a lower narrow section 500 is provided.

In addition, the grip 100 is stable by decreasing the fluctuation spacing in the grip condition between the thumb and the index finger of both hands so that the stable and precise swing without shaking becomes possible and the impact can be transmitted to the ball without a loss due to the shaking.

In addition, since the thickness of the lower narrow section 500 is small in the present invention, it can be easily expanded and transformed so as to be able to be easily combined when the upper end of a shaft 502 is pushed into a shaft insertion hole 501 so that the operability is improved.

Furthermore, in the present invention, an upper line 101 and a lower line 102 are placed at the middle narrow section 200 of the grip 100 in such a way that the center of the bottom surface of the thumb of the hand positioned at the relatively upper position is selectively positioned at the upper line 101 or the lower line 102, so that the grip 100 can be standardized even when the grip 100 is gripped normal or shorter by gripping it at the normal position or at the lower position.

In addition, according to other embodiments shown in FIGS. 6 to 9, in the present invention, the increase of the weight due to the thick section 300 can be minimized by forming the cut section 400 in which all remaining thick section 300 is cut out in the form of oblique line except the place where the thumb and the index finger of the hand which is positioned at the relatively lower position so as to grip the lower part of the grip directly touch.

According to this embodiment, the cut surface 401 due to the cut section 400 of the thick section 300 is in the form of oblique line so as to form the considerably wider cut section 400 than the case of the above mentioned embodiment, so that the weight of the grip 100 can be dramatically reduced to the level of usual grip 100.

In addition, in this embodiment, since the cut surface forms a junction line 402 at the upper end, the user can intuitively recognize it as the marking of the center line 403 so as to improve the convenience of use.

The assembly condition of the grip 100 according to the present invention is shown in a sectional view in FIG. 10.

As can be seen in this drawing, in the present invention, since the spacing between the thumb and the index finger of the hand which is positioned at the relatively lower position so as to grip the thick section 300 of the grip 100 can be minimized, the shaking is prevented and the sweet spot of the head can precisely strike the ball at the time of impact so that the strike angle, direction and the like can be optimized and also the shaking can be removed so that the impact can be transmitted without loss.

In addition, in the present invention, the loss of the head sense due to the excess of the weight of the grip 100 can be prevented by cutting and removing remaining part of the thick section 300 except the part which the thumb or the index finger grips, and also the shaft insertion hole 501 can be easily expanded the time of inserting the upper end of the shaft 502 into the shaft insertion hole 501 of the lower narrow section 500 so that the assembly becomes easy and the operability is improved.

Although the technical thoughts about the formation of the cut section 400 for making stable the gripping by the thumb and the index finger at the lower side of the grip 100 for golf club and for keeping the weight within the optimum range and about the improvement of the assembly easiness of the cut section with the shaft 502 by the lower narrow section 500 have been described with reference to the accompanying drawings in the above description, it is only for an exemplary description of the most preferred embodiment of the present invention but not for limiting the technical thoughts.

Therefore, it will be obvious that those skilled in the art can carry out various changes and simulations in the size, shape and the structure without departing from the scope of the technical thoughts of the technical thoughts, and such changes and simulations are included in the scope of the technical thoughts of the technical thoughts.

Claims

1. A grip for golf club comprising: wherein a cut section is formed at the lower end of the grip so that a lower narrow section for insertion of the upper end of a shaft is provided.

a middle narrow section where the diameter is decreased from the upper end to the middle portion, and
a thick section where the diameter is gradually increased downward from the middle narrow section,

2. The grip for golf club of claim 1, wherein an upper line and a lower line are placed at the middle narrow section of the grip in such a way that the center of the bottom surface of the thumb of the hand positioned at the relatively upper position is selectively positioned.

3. The grip for golf club of claim 1, wherein a cut section is formed in the form of oblique line, in which cut section all remaining thick section is cut out except the place of the thumb and the index finger of the hand which is positioned at the relatively lower position so as to grip the lower part of the grip.

4. The grip for golf club of claim 1, wherein the cut section is formed in the form of oblique line to form a junction line at the upper end.
