Cross Reference to Related application is made to provisional application No. 62/415,470 filed on Oct. 31, 2016 entitled New and Improved Sports and Entertainment Action Figure Doll & Trading Card and made to abandoned nonprovisional application number: Ser. No. 14/886,047 entitled Sports and Entertainment Action Figure Doll & Trading Card with the filing date of Oct. 17, 2015.

TECHNICAL FIELD

This invention relates to a doll made for waving at a game or event that performs different tasks when waved in the air by an individual. In a more specific aspect, this invention relates to a doll with upper body design that accommodates many controlled movements according to how the hands and arms of doll are positioned on game gear, combined with how user waves the doll and as for the lower body of doll, the front and back flexible supports along with leg curves in the legs allow doll to make and mimic running motion when waved in the air by user.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Over the course of time there have been many types of dolls created or invented that have many functions and that display all types of abilities. However, none are like the New & Improved Sports and Entertainment Action Figure Doll & Trading Card that allows use of a flat action figure doll made for use at a sporting event or event in general, that has the ability to make lifelike motions when waved or moved about in the air and at the same time have the option of trading card features displayed on the body of action figure doll. These motions allow the action figure doll to mimic or appear to be freely performing an action such as swinging a baseball bat, golf club or hockey stick, running or running with or throwing a football or ball, with the ability to tackle another player. Further, the action figure doll is made flat due to high security concerns at sports venues and complexes and would pose less of a threat than a stuffed doll design. The New and Improved Sports and Entertainment Action Figure Doll & Trading Card is better than earlier versions of the concept in that it uses less materials to make doll and doll is preferably made out of plastic with the equal or close to the equal strength and flexibility of PETG plastic with the thickness close to 1/16 of an inch. By making the action figure doll preferably out of PETG plastic it allows the movements of the doll to look more lifelike because of the flexibility of the plastic and it allows doll to be made and assembled faster than if it were made out of a material like cardboard which would require the cardboard to have a lot more flexible supports in the design. PETG plastic allow the body of the action figure doll to be sturdy without a lot of plastic supports to keep doll from bending and collapsing. Earlier versions of doll allowed doll to be made mostly of cardboard with a lot of flexible plastic supports which kept doll from collapsing and the dolls had to be handmade with each doll having a slightly different movement pattern due to folds in cardboard and the gear was 2 dimensional compared to the 3 dimensional gear now used. The pattern movements of the New and Improved Sports and Entertainment Action Figure Doll & Trading Card are in sync due to the plastic design which allow movements to be more sturdy and accurate. Further, the arm movement of the doll is able to be duplicated in each doll due to the plastic joint fasteners in each shoulder that attach the shoulder of the doll to the upper arm of doll. The joint fasteners are fastened to the shoulders and upper arm the same way each time so that same motion is repeated in every doll of a particular design. Also, The New and Improved Action Figure Doll & Trading Card uses items such as gear and equipment as weight or weights to allow or improve motion, for instance the football action figure doll uses the shoes of doll as weights that allow doll to produce running motion and baseball player uses baseball bat alone to improve swinging motion rather than a weight or weights placed on arms. Moreover, action figure doll is designed at a game or event to capture or lure the attention of the camera operator so that fan can be seen on camera waving action figure doll and celebrating a play, player, announcement, the event or game itself. Also, it allows the fan to attach and detach parts of equipment, clothing and paraphernalia to and from the action figure doll to help them participate in the game, concert or event. Also, the action figure doll itself can be made a trading card with status card and graphics printed on outer surface of doll or made with a trading card attached to or printed on the surface of action figure doll with a security barcode or QR code placed on or atop imaging on trading card that allow user to use mobile computerized device to connect to internet or computer apps relevant to and made for action figure doll. The trading card can be made attached to the inner or outer surface of doll. Further, the action figure doll can be made without the option of the trading card features and made with just the ability to perform different tasks when waved in the air according to how the hands and arms are positioned with or without game gear, for instance the hands of the baseball player is aligned with the baseball bat so that when user moves the action figure doll back and forth the doll swings the baseball bat backwards and forward. Also, concerning the football player ability to mimic running with ball, the doll is able to do so because of the flexible supports that run from the abdomen to the lower legs of the doll, the resistance and flexibility created by the supports allow each leg to move up and down when waved in the air by user. When the user waves the doll in an oval-like motion, by starting forward holding the hip area it causes the innermost leg to move first followed by the outermost leg and then as the user is coming back towards him or herself, the legs snap quickly downward and backward one at a time with the innermost leg first and then the outermost leg second. This repeated motion makes the doll look as if it is running. The flexible hip and back supports located on the back of the doll help give the action figure doll the posture it needs to mimic running and help the action figure doll with knee lift when mimicking running. The leg curves in the knee area of the action figure doll help the legs turn over and help the running motion to look more lifelike. The manufacturing process of the action figure doll consists of cutting out the flexible material in the shape or form of athlete or individual using one or more cutting tools or cutting dies or can be made through the use of mold process or 3D printer. In areas where cutting tools or die cutting process is used, the thin plastic sheet or flexible material can be folded or curved in areas where joints would be on a person. After folds or curves are in place, one or more flexible supports are then placed in areas where the most stress would be due to motion of doll. The flexible supports are used to help provide controlled motion, reduce wear and tear and used to enhance structure of action figure doll. Finally, clothing, shoes and stickers can be made and placed over or upon the action figure doll. Preferably vinyl stickers can be used to cover imaging of face and neck or can be used as clothing or represent gear or used to cover imaging of other body parts or used to cover the imaging of the entire outer surface of action figure doll or in areas of face and neck or other parts of the body the action figure doll can be directly printed upon if the surface of area is made of sheet plastic, vinyl material or other printable material. Further, in areas where a mold process is used such as injection molding the folds or curves would already be incorporated into shape of the mold and in areas where flexible supports would be located there are extra layers of plastic that extend along the area where the flexible supports would be applied. After doll figure is pulled from the mold, items such as clothing and gear can be placed on or upon action figure doll along with stickers or print. Also, joint fasteners can be made and applied in areas to attach body parts such as shoulder to arm or upper arm to forearm. Moreover, fasteners are placed in areas such as the palm of hand or hands and on equipment or gear to attach equipment or gear such as a ball or baseball bat to the hand or hands of action figure doll and the action figure doll can be made to stand upright on desk or flat surface.

SUMMARY

The New Improved Sports and Entertainment Action Figure Doll and Trading Card allow the fan to have a wave-able, motion-able collectible item such as a trading card doll with stats card or trading card attached to surface of doll, or an item such as a motion-able action figure doll to wave, cheer or jeer with or show support at a game or event in person or show support just watching it on television. The doll itself is made with a trading card in mind due to the flatness of the doll and further, the flatness of the doll is made with security in mind at sports and event venues and complexes because with the doll being made flat it would pose less of a security threat than if it were made stuffed because a stuffed doll can pose a serious security threat. The action figure doll can be made with vinyl stickers or can be made out of printable plastic to display images of face and neck or other body parts, clothing or gear. The action figure doll can be made to stand and to mimic running motion with legs and can be made with arms and legs along with other body parts, gear and equipment that allow action figure doll to perform different tasks when waved in the air by user. The action figure doll can be made to use equipment or gear as a weight or weights that help or allow action figure doll to move such as the shoes on football player that allows the doll to mimic running motion or skates on hockey player that allow doll to mimic skating or running or hockey stick that allow hockey player to mimic swinging at a hockey puck or baseball player with bat to mimic swinging baseball bat or golf player to mimic swinging golf club, etc. Further, The New and Improved Sports and Entertainment Action Figure Doll & Trading Card can be made to have motion or made without motion or ability to move and can be made with 2D or 3D attachments such as ball, gear or equipment.
