Traditionally, chopsticks are used by Chinese people as a part of their food culture. Chopsticks are nothing but a rod-shaped member made in different cross-sections such as square or rectangle to pick and grip the food. However, nowadays these chopsticks have been used predominantly around all parts of the world. On the other hand, people also use spoons to pick a liquid food. So by default, they will have a set of chopsticks and spoons separately and a user can switch between these cutlery utensils to selectively use and eat their food. However, in the process, the user need to put down any one of the cutlery and if the table is small, they have to face lot of difficulties in arranging the things.
Previous attempts have been made to provide a chopstick kit wherein either chopstick or spoon can be used one at a time. Some of the chopsticks were used as a spoon by modifying the bottom section of the chopstick as the spoon for additional use. One has to look for all the necessary kitchen utensils such as fork, spoon and a knife on their table and need to take one by one depending on their use which is completely inconvenient for usage. Further, these devices do not provide required leverage as the person has to use all his fingers while eating. Sometimes, the chopsticks cross each other and it will be difficult for them for convenient eating method. Also the user cannot lift any cup or other article when they are holding these devices.
Prior art reference CN 2067939 U discloses a chopstick spoon device wherein the0 chopstick acts as a spoon for extended use. A metal round frame passes through the sections and convert the chopstick into the spoon. However, the design is cumbersome and it is not convenient in maneuvering the chopstick. Further, this device cannot help the user to pick and hold a cup or other article at the same time.
In light of the aforementioned drawbacks and limitations, there exists a need for a chopstick cutlery kit to assist a user to conveniently have their food without looking for all the necessary cutlery utensils on the table.
