Description of the Related Art

As conditions in material life improves, contemporary people are more focused on their external appearance. In particular, most women like to paint colorful nail polish on their finger or toe nails, or even paint art directly on their nails to express their individuality and aesthetics. This has increased the popularity of nail art. In addition, collectors also paint and color models and dolls to highlight their own unique aesthetic views. However, nail polish and colored paints often contain hazardous volatile materials risky to human health. Long-term inhalation of these volatile gases can cause considerable risk to human health. Thus, inhalations of these volatile hazardous gases should be avoided to prevent health problems and maintain human health.

Currently, “painting protective covers” such as ROC (Taiwan) patent publication #M414119, includes a cover that forms an internal painting space. The cover has at least two openings that connect to the painting space. The cover is also designed with an intake port that connects to the painting space. The intake port should have a connector that corresponds to a second connection on one end of the piping. The other end of the piping should be an outlet port, and the gas filter component is designed into the piping system. User can paint their nails in the painting space by placing their hands through the cover openings. The gas filter component can filter out hazardous gases emitted by the nail polish during the process and prevent the user from directly inhaling the hazardous volatile gases.

However, the previous invention has outward protruding piping that makes the painting protective cover inconvenient to use and put away. Locations where this previous invention can be used are also limited because of external piping connection requirements. Gas filter component in the previous invention also only contain activated carbon granules, which has a limited effect for filtering out hazardous volatile gases. Furthermore, the previous invention does not have auxiliary light curing during the painting process or method for rapidly drying nail polish or paint after painting.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

So that the above mentioned features of the present invention can be understood, a detailed description of the present invention is described below. The main features of the present invention (Painting platform structure with ventilation and filter) is clearly demonstrated in the following example. It should be noted that the following example is only one embodiment of the present invention, and does not limit the scope or any variations of the present invention.

Please refer to FIG. 1 (the 3D assembly diagram for the present invention). The exemplary Painting platform structure with ventilation and filter should include a cover (1) that forms a painting space (11) in its interior. The cover (1) should have at least two openings that connect to the painting space (11). This exemplary embodiment has four openings (12, 12A, 12B, and 12C), but other embodiments are not limited to this number.

The exemplary embodiment has a base (2) that has a top surface (21) connected to the cover (1). The cover (1) should be attached to the top surface (21) of the base (2) with an adhesive (however, the connection method is not limited to adhesives). Please refer to FIG. 2, which shows the accommodation space (22) inside the hollow base (2). The top surface (21) should be designed with a gas inlet (211), which is used to link the painting space (11) with the accommodation space (22). A second gas inlet (23) should be designed on the base (2) to provide an outside connection with the accommodation space (22). Thus, after outside air enters the accommodation space (22) from the second gas inlet (23), it is transported into the painting space (11) through the first gas inlet (211), forming an airway (refer to the solid arrow direction in FIG. 2).

The exemplary embodiment has a ventilation unit (3) located in the accommodation space (22). The ventilation unit (3, includes a fan (31) and piping (32; reference FIG. 2) that forms a ventilation path between the painting space (11) and the outside (refer to the dashed arrow in FIG. 2). Furthermore, the top surface (21) of the base (2) has an exhaust outlet (24) and the base (2) has a second exhaust outlet (25). Piping (32) connects the first exhaust outlet (24) with the second exhaust outlet (25) while the fan (31) is placed in the accommodation space (22), near the first exhaust outlet (24).

The exemplary embodiment has a gas filter unit (4) located on the ventilation path. This gas filter unit (4) can be single layered or multiple layered. Please reference FIG. 3. The gas filter unit (4) in the figure is a multiple layer filter and includes the first (41), second (42), and third filter layer (43). The first filter layer (41) includes numerous porous plastic granules, the second filter layer (42) includes numerous activated carbon granules, and the third filter layer (43) includes numerous nano filter material (e.g., nano aluminium oxide). The gas filter unit (4) in the present invention is preferable because it can be removed from or reconnected to the piping (32). For example, the gas filter unit (4) and the piping (32) have corresponding internal and external screw threads (not shown in the figure) that provide screw connections. This makes exchanging the gas filter unit (4) convenient when the unit expires, which allows for maintain preferable filter function.

The particle size of porous plastic granules is between 100 μm and 1000 μm, the particle size of activated carbon granules is between 10 μm and 500 μm, and the particle size of nano aluminium oxide is between 100 nanometers to 10 μm. The first filter layer (41) filters out dust particles and impurities in the painting space (11), the second filter layer (42) filters out volatile gas molecules (such as formic acid, ethyl acetate, and acetone) in the painting space (11), and the third filter layer (43) filters out propyl acetate and butyl acetatein the painting space (11) to achieve superior filtering effects.

The aforementioned nano filter material can also be nano activated carbon, nano filter membrane, nano ceramic powder, or nano fiber.

The four openings (12, 12A, 12B, and 12C) in the cover (1) should each have an elastic drawstring (13, 13A, 13B, and 13C). When the user's hands passes through the openings (12, 12A, 12B, and 12C), the elastic drawstrings (13, 13A, 13B, and 13C) can be tightly wrapped around the user's wrists, which prevents gas emitted during the nail polish painting process from dissipating out the four openings (12, 12A, 12B, and 12C). When the invention (Painting platform structure with ventilation and filter) is not in use, the four elastic drawstrings (13, 13A, 13B, and 13C) is in a drawn state, which can prevent dust and impurities in the air from falling into the four openings (12, 12A, 12B, and 12C) of the painting space (11). This is conducive to maintaining a clean operating environment.

The cover (1) is made of a transparent plastic material that allows users to clearly see inside the cover from the outside. This can facilitate painting and coloring. The top surface (21) of the base (2) is installed with a lighting device (5) that is located inside the painting space (11). In the present invention example the lighting device (5) is a flexible lamp, but lighting is not limited to such lamps. A control unit (6) is electrically connected to the fan (31) and lighting device (5) to switch on and off the light (5) and fan (31). In addition, the control unit (6) can be connected to utility power or batteries as the power source for the fan (31) and lighting device (5).

Please refer to FIGS. 4 and 2, which is the function schematic diagram (I) and bottom cutaway schematic diagram of this exemplary embodiment, respectively. The diagrams show an example of a single user using the present invention to paint and color finger nails. However, this is not the limit of the present invention. The present invention can also be used to paint and color toe nails or dolls and models. Following the spirit of the present invention, two users can place their hands into different openings (12, 12A, 12B, and 12C) of the painting space (11) to operate the present invention (one person rendering nail art service to another). The top surface (21) of the base (2) in the present invention should provide a place for users to place required tools and materials, especially on the top surface (21) in the painting space (11). The user should first use the control unit (6) to turn on the fan (31) and lighting device (5), which will allow air in the painting space (11) to be sucked into the piping (32) by the fan (31) through the first exhaust outlet (24). The air flows through the gas filter unit (4) and discharges to the outside through the second exhaust outlet (25). At this time the user's two hands are extended into the painting space (11) through two openings (12 and 12A). One hand handles and paints the nail polish on opposing hand. Hazardous gas molecules emitted by the nail polish are sucked into the piping (32) by air current created by the fan (31). The air is filtered of dust particles and volatile gas molecules emitted by the nail polish (such as formic acid, ethyl acetate, acetone, propyl acetate, and butyl acetate) in sequence through the gas filter unit (4). The filtered air is discharged to the outside through the second exhaust outlet (25). This process prevents users from inhaling hazardous volatile gas molecules emitted by the nail polish during the painting process while satisfying aesthetics created by painting and coloring.

Please refer to FIG. 5, which is the function schematic diagram (II) of the exemplary embodiment. This is generally similar to the previous function schematic diagram (I). The difference is that the Painting platform structure with ventilation and filter is used to paint and color models and dolls (A). Only one hand is required for users to paint models or dolls (A) in the painting space (11). Lighting device (5) can provide auxiliary lighting and enable users to see clearly the details prior to coloring. This can create a more precise coloring effect. Because painting and coloring models and dolls (A) require longer operating time, more hazardous volatile gas molecules are emitted by paints. Thus, the gas filter unit (4) in the present invention (please refer to FIG. 2) filters out hazardous volatile gas molecules in the painting space (11) and allow the user to maintain physical health during the long painting and coloring process. The aforementioned lighting device (5) can be replaced with a UV light source, which can be used for light curing when painting hand or foot nail art. The lighting device (5) or UV light source and the fan (not shown in FIG. 5) in the ventilation unit of this example are electrically connected to the control unit (6). The control unit (6) is used for controlling the activation or shutoff of the lighting device (5), UV light source, and the fan in the ventilation unit.

Please refer to FIG. 6, which is the function schematic diagram (III) for this exemplary embodiment. This is generally similar to function schematic diagram (I). The difference is that the base (2) of the present invention was designed with a dryer unit (7). This dryer unit (7) is used for drying painted nails (not shown in the figure) or models and dolls (A) in the painting space (11). The dryer unit (7) shown in the figure is a blower, which provides air current for drying effect. However, other drying methods such as heat source provided by an electric heating tube can also be used in the present invention. The dryer unit (7) in this example is also electrically connected to the control unit (6), which is used to control the activation and shutoff of the dryer unit (7).

As previously described, the present invention uses porous plastic granules, activated carbon granules, and nano filter material contained in the gas filter unit (4) to separately filter out dust particles and impurities, volatile gas molecules (formic acid, ethyl acetate, and acetone), and propyl acetate and butyl acetate in the painting space (11) to clean the air in the painting space (11). The filtered air is then discharged. This prevents users from inhaling excessive hazardous volatile gas molecules during painting and coloring. In addition, the cover (1) of the present invention is made of transparent plastic material that allows the user to clearly see inside the cover (1) from the outside. The clear cover, in addition to auxiliary light provided by the lighting device (5), can facilitate painting and coloring. At the same time, the four openings (12, 12A, 12B, and 12C) in the cover (1) are each designed with an elastic drawstring (13, 13A, 13B, and 13C), which can be tightly wrapped around the wrist of the user and prevent gas emitted by nail polish from being dissipated from the four openings (12, 12A, 12B, and 12C). The drawstrings can also prevent dust particles from falling into the painting space (11) through the four openings (12, 12A, 12B, and 12C) and fouling the interior.

The previous described exemplary embodiment clearly demonstrated the operation and the effects produced by the present invention. However, the described exemplary embodiment is only one variation of the present invention, and does not limit the breadth and scope of the present invention. Changes and modifications equivalent to the scope and description in the invention claim should be covered by the scope of the present invention.
