Heat Blocking Apron Assembly

A heat blocking apron assembly includes an apron that may be worn on a front of a pregnant woman's body. A first strap is coupled to the apron and the first strap is placed around a neck of the pregnant woman. A pair of second straps is provided and each of the second straps is coupled to the apron. Thus, each of the second straps is selectively tied around a torso of the pregnant woman. A shield is coupled to the apron. The shield is comprised of a thermally insulating material. Thus, the shield inhibits heat from a heat source from being transferred to an unborn baby.

The disclosure and prior art relates to apron devices and more particularly pertains to a new apron device for inhibiting transferring heat from a heat source to an unborn baby.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising an apron that may be worn on a front of a pregnant woman's body. A first strap is coupled to the apron and the first strap is placed around a neck of the pregnant woman. A pair of second straps is provided and each of the second straps is coupled to the apron. Thus, each of the second straps is selectively tied around a torso of the pregnant woman. A shield is coupled to the apron. The shield is comprised of a thermally insulating material. Thus, the shield inhibits heat from a heat source from being transferred to an unborn baby.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of a heat blocking apron assembly according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 4 thereof, a new apron device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 4, the heat blocking apron assembly 10 generally comprises an apron 12 is configured to be worn on a front 13 of a pregnant woman's body 14. The apron 12 has a front surface 16, a back surface 18 and a peripheral edge 20 extending therebetween. The back surface 18 abuts the pregnant woman's body 14 when the apron 12 is worn. The peripheral edge 20 has a first lateral side 22, a second lateral side 24, a top side 26 and a bottom side 28. The peripheral edge 20 curves inwardly between the first lateral side 22, the second lateral side 24 and the top side 26.

A first strap 30 is coupled to the apron 12 and the first strap 30 is placed around a neck 32 of the pregnant woman. The first strap 30 is positioned on the top side 26. The first strap 30 has a pair of ends 34. Each of the ends 34 is coupled to the top side 26 such that the first strap 30 forms a closed loop.

A pair of second straps 36 is provided. Each of the second straps 36 is coupled to the apron 12. Moreover, each of the second straps 36 is selectively tied around a torso 38 of the pregnant woman when the apron 12 is worn. Each of the second straps 36 is positioned on an associated one of the first lateral side 22 and the second lateral side 24.

A shield 40 is provided and the shield 40 is coupled to the apron 12. The shield 40 is comprised of a thermally insulating material. Thus, the shield 40 inhibits heat from a heat source 42 from being transferred to an unborn baby when the apron 12 is worn. The heat source 42 may be an oven or other heat emitting appliance.

The shield 40 has a first surface 44. The first surface 44 is coupled to the front surface 16 of the apron 12. Thus, the shield 40 is aligned with the pregnant woman's belly 46 when the apron 12 is worn. The shield 40 extends 34 between the first lateral side 22 and the second lateral side 24 of the apron 12. Moreover, the shield 40 extends 34 substantially between the bottom side 28 and the top side 26 of the apron 12.

In use, the apron 12 is worn when the pregnant woman is cooking or is otherwise exposed to a heat source 42. Each of the second straps 36 is tied around the pregnant woman's body 14 and the first strap 30 is positioned around the pregnant woman's neck 32. The shield 40 covers the pregnant woman's belly 46 when the apron 12 is worn. Thus, the shield 40 inhibits heat from the heat source 42 from being transferred to the unborn baby.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.

Claims

1. A heat blocking apron assembly being configured to be worn by a pregnant woman thereby inhibiting heat from a heat source from being transferred to an unborn baby, said assembly comprising:

an apron being configured to be worn on a front of a pregnant woman's body;
a first strap being coupled to said apron wherein said first strap is configured to be placed around a neck of the pregnant woman;
a pair of second straps, each of said second straps being coupled to said apron wherein each of said second straps is configured to be tied around a torso of the pregnant woman; and
a shield being coupled to said apron, said shield being comprised of a thermally insulating material wherein said shield is configured to inhibit heat from a heat source from being transferred to an unborn baby.

The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said apron has a front surface, a back surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, said peripheral edge having a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a top side and a bottom side, said peripheral edge curving inwardly between said first lateral side, said second lateral side and said top side.

3. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein said first strap is positioned on said top side, said first strap having a pair of ends, each of said ends being coupled to said top side such that said first strap forms a closed loop.

4. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein said shield has a first surface, said first surface being coupled to said front surface of said apron, said shield extending between said first lateral side and said second lateral side of said apron, said shield extending substantially between said bottom side and said top side of said apron.

5. A heat blocking apron assembly being configured to be worn by a pregnant woman thereby inhibiting heat from a heat source from being transferred to an unborn baby, said assembly comprising:

an apron being configured to be worn on a front of a pregnant woman's body, said apron having a front surface, a back surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, said peripheral edge having a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a top side and a bottom side, said peripheral edge curving inwardly between said first lateral side, said second lateral side and said top side;
a first strap being coupled to said apron wherein said first strap is configured to be placed around a neck of the pregnant woman, said first strap being positioned on said top side, said first strap having a pair of ends, each of said ends being coupled to said top side such that said first strap forms a closed loop;
a pair of second straps, each of said second straps being coupled to said apron wherein each of said second straps is configured to be tied around a torso of the pregnant woman, each of said second straps being positioned on an associated one of said first lateral side and said second lateral side; and
a shield being coupled to said apron, said shield being comprised of a thermally insulating material wherein said shield is configured to inhibit heat from a heat source from being transferred to an unborn baby, said shield having a first surface, said first surface being coupled to said front surface of said apron, said shield extending between said first lateral side and said second lateral side of said apron, said shield extending substantially between said bottom side and said top side of said apron.
