The present invention relates to a cable retractor storage and a cable retractor storage set, and more particularly, to a cable retractor storage for use by a user to store and fix a specific portion of a cable and a cable retractor storage set adapted to store a plurality of said cable retractor storages.

Descriptions of the Related Art

Owing to the advancement of science and technologies, people now can deal with company affairs and personal affairs on various kinds of electronic products. Correspondingly, innumerable cables are used to supply power or transmit signals. These cables are scattered in bags, office desk tops or on grounds, and if they are not put properly, they often become tangled and tend to be damaged when being pulled inadvertently by an external force.

To prevent disorder and scattering of the cables, cable retractor storages for storing or fixing cables have come into being. However, most of the conventional technologies use simple molding parts or spring retractor mechanisms as cable retractor storages to store cables, so there are problems that the cables tend to separate from the cable retractor storage, it is impossible to freely adjust the length of cable segment, or it is difficult to know the entanglement conditions when the cables become tangled.

Accordingly, an urgent need exists in the art to provide a cable retractor storage capable of storing and fixing a specific portion of a cable, avoiding separation of the cable from the cable retractor storage, and allowing the user to freely adjust the length of stored cable segment depending on needs in use so as to prevent entanglement of the cable and damage of the cable when being pulled by an external force.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The present invention relates to a cable retractor storage capable of storing and fixing a specific portion of a cable, avoiding separation of the cable from the cable retractor storage, and allowing the user to freely adjust the length of stored cable segment depending on needs in use so as to prevent entanglement of the cable and damage of the cable when being pulled by an external force.

As shown in FIG. 1, the cable retractor storage 100 according to the present invention comprises a body 110 and a lid 120. Please refer to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 together. Specifically, the body 110 has an orbicular bottom portion 112, a first outer wall 114 and a first inner wall 116; the first outer wall 114 is disposed at an outer periphery 112a of the orbicular bottom portion 112 and extends upwards from the outer periphery 112a, and the first outer wall 114 and the orbicular bottom portion 112 are adapted to define a receiving space 118 in such a way that the first inner wall 116 is disposed concentrically to the first outer wall 114 in the receiving space 118 and extend upwards from the receiving space 118. The lid 120 has an orbicular lid portion 122, a second outer wall 124 and a second inner wall 126, the second outer wall 124 is disposed at an outer periphery 122a of the orbicular lid portion 122 and extends downwards from the outer periphery 122a, and the second inner wall 126 is disposed concentrically to the second outer wall 124 at an inner side 122b of the orbicular lid portion 122 and extending downwards from the inner side.

As shown in FIG. 2, the second outer wall 124 and the second inner wall 126 of the lid 120 located above are disposed corresponding to the first outer wall 114 and the first inner wall 116 of the body 110 located below respectively; and as shown in FIG. 3, the lid 120 detachably covers on the body 110 by means of a buckling relationship between the first inner wall 116 of the body 110 and the second inner wall 126 of the lid 120 so that the specific portion of the cable 300 is winded in the receiving space 118.

Please refer next to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5. In the present invention, the first outer wall 114 has two first openings 114a, the two first openings 114a are disposed at two opposite sides of the first outer wall 114 respectively and define a first axis L1; the second inner wall 126 has two second openings 126a, and the two second openings 126a are disposed at two opposite sides of the second inner wall 126 respectively and define a second axis L2. With the aforesaid arrangement, a specific portion of the cable 300 is adapted to pass through the two first openings 114a and the two second openings 126a, and is winded in the receiving space 118 by means of a rotational relationship between the first axis L1 and the second axis L2 (i.e., rotation of the body 110 and the lid 20 relative to each other).

It shall be appreciated that, although the first outer wall 114 and the second inner wall 126 are both shown to have two first openings 114a and two second openings 126a respectively, they are not limited thereto. That is, depending on the needs in use, the first outer wall 114 and the second inner wall 126 may also be provided with more openings to store a plurality of cables or for other purposes. Furthermore, although the two first openings 114a and the two second openings 126a are shown to be generally in a rectangular form, they are not limited thereto; and in other words, the two first openings 114a and the two second openings 126a may also be in a wavy form or in the form of other smooth curves so as to reduce the frictional force when the cable is extended or retracted.

The first inner wall 116 of the body 110 and the second inner wall 126 of the lid 120 in the cable retractor storage according to the present invention engage with each other by a buckling structure 130 so that the lid 120 detachably covers on the body 110. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 3, in a preferred embodiment, the buckling structure 130 comprises a recessed portion 132 and a protruding portion 134; and as shown in FIG. 5, the first inner wall 116 of the body 110 and the second inner wall 126 of the lid 120 are able to rotate relative to each other when the first inner wall 116 and the second inner wall 126 are buckled to each other so as to wind and store the specific portion of the cable 300 into the receiving space 118. Here, buckling tightness between the body 110 and the lid 120 as well as the difficulty level of rotating the body 110 and the lid 120 relative to each other can be controlled by adjusting relative convex/concave shapes and relative dimensions of the recessed portion 132 and the protruding portion 134 of the buckling structure 130.

Referring to FIG. 3 again, the lid 120 of the cable retractor storage 100 according to the present invention further has an opening 128. The opening 128 extends from a top end of the lid 120 to the receiving space 118 so that a user's finger or other tools that can be obtained easily (e.g., a pen, a key, or a chopstick) can be inserted into the opening 128 to rotate the lid 120 relative to the body 110 more easily to store the specific portion of the cable 300, thus improving the user's experience. Additionally, the opening 128 is also favorable for observing the entanglement conditions of the specific portion of the cable 300 in the cable retractor storage 100.

Referring to FIG. 6, the cable retractor storage 100 according to the present invention further comprises a hanging portion 140 disposed on the body 110 or the lid 120 to hang the cable retractor storage 100 from a surface 400. Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3 together, the hanging portion 140 is preferably designed as a magnet 500 received at an inner side of the inner wall 116 and is fixed to the surface 400 through magnetic adsorption of the magnet 500 in this embodiment, but it is not limited thereto. That is, the hanging portion 140 may also be designed to be fixed to the surface 400 through buckling, adhesion or attachment depending on the needs in use.

According to the above descriptions, the cable retractor storage 100 can not only store and fix specific portions of various kinds of cables and allow for adjustment of the length of the stored cable segment depending on the needs in use to prevent entanglement of the cable and damage of the cable when being pulled by an external force, but also allow for use of a finger or other tools to help winding the cable and allow the cable retractor storage 100 to be hung on any surface by means of the hanging portion so that the cable can be arranged by the user quickly and efficiently.

The present invention further relates to a cable retractor storage set 200 comprising at least one said cable retractor storage 100 and a storage shelf 210, and the storage shelf 210 is adapted to store or fix the at least one cable retractor storage 100.

Referring to FIG. 7, the cable retractor storage set 200 according to the present invention is preferably adapted to store a plurality of cable retractor storages 100 of different sizes. Similar to the function of the hanging portion 140 of the cable retractor storage 100, the storage shelf 210 stores or fixes the at least one cable retractor storage 100 through magnetic adsorption, buckling, adhesion or attachment so as to facilitate the user in arranging and collecting various kinds of cables.
