STORAGE DEVICE WITH AN ORGANIZING SYSTEM AND A LUGGAGE SYSTEM WITH SUCH A STORAGE DEVICE
A storage device with a surface element that is forming an organizer system and that has multiple bag elements and/or reception appliances for receiving bag elements or functional elements arranged at a side of the surface element at a respectively defined position. One bag element is assigned to a content with a certain function, wherein the content of the bag elements represents basic equipment for a user, containing essential items that are to be carried along at all times, and the surface element is embodied so as to be transferrable for optional use in at least one piece of luggage or an item of clothing for definable functions, travel or day sections as a corresponding part of the storage device and can be fixedly attached to the same by means of a retaining appliance.
The invention relates to a storage device with a surface element that forms an organizer system according to the kind as it is more closely defined in the generic term of claim 1, as well as a luggage system with such a storage device.
STATE OF THE ARTIn the field of storage devices such as bags or luggage systems, what often occurs in practice is the problem that items inside a compartment or a bag are hard to access, since, in the stored state, they are received so far inside the respective bag element that they are hard to find and/or to pull out by hand.
If multiple items are positioned inside a bag element, it is usually necessary to identify the desired object in a purely haptic manner with the fingers, and to take it out separately of multiple items that are possibly located at the bottom of the bag element. Therefore, the complete interior space of a bag element is often emptied—if that is even possible, and not a larger piece of luggage connected to the bag element has to be turned over, which means that the content of the other piece of luggage respectively comes into disarray.
Here, it has been shown in practice that certain items representing a kind of “essential kit” or basic equipment for the user, which the user wishes to carry along at all times, are particularly often searched for in a bag piece by piece and re-packed between different bags.
Different solutions have been proposed for facilitating finding and accessing certain items of the bag content.
What is described in US 2009/0084475 A1 is an organizer bag for personal items, wherein the organizer bag is received as a separate bag or as a compartment inside different other transporting items such as a backpack, handbag or tote bag, and can be attached at the same so as to be secured against loss, for example by means of a magnetic holder. Inside, the organizer bag can be provided with various embodiments of storing appliances, for example with credit card compartments, zipped bags, open bags, pen holders, key ring holders or removable small bags.
A disadvantage here is that the basic problem with bags still remains, namely the searching through items that are not organized, or that are contained in separate containers in a difficult-to-distinguish interior space of the bag. What is additionally disadvantageous here, just like in most bag-in-bag systems, is that the inside bags are arranged at the bottom of an outer bag, taking away room for other things.
Further, this known solution entails the problem that the allocation of essential items, which a user usually wishes to carry with them at all times, to certain bag elements is insufficient, so that, if bags are changed, the user also transfers some things they often do not need.
This problem is for example also present in the organizing devices or the organizer for handbags or other transportable bags disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 8,225,829 B2, since they represent internal bags which can also be used independently as separate bags. Here, it is in particular provided that at least one of the walls is embodied to be firm or hard so as to protect the content of the organizing devices.
What is proposed in EP 2 689 684 A1 is a handbag with an organizer system having two or three plate-shaped surfaces that are connected to each other in a foldable manner. Provided at the internal sides of the surfaces are various holders and/or bags for glasses, keys and cell phones, among other things. The holders can be attached to the internal surface via snap-in or press button fasteners.
Disadvantageously, if one wishes to change bags, here the content of the organizer systems has to be respectively transferred to another bag for example from a handbag to a suitcase or a sports bag. Such repacking is in itself time-consuming, and requires that the person using the bag re-orientates themselves, wherein in practice often a lot of time is needed for searching for certain items inside a bag.
US 2007/0044877 A also discloses a tote bag with a modular organizer system, wherein multiple separate inside bags are arranged behind each other in the horizontal direction with respect to an upright standing position of the tote bag, and are connected to each other. Thus, this known solution also represents a bag-in-bag system, which poses the user before the problem of searching in separate interior bags that are arranged without a haptically memorable system, and wherein the inside bags disadvantageously take up a considerable amount of space at the bottom of the tote bag.
What is further known from U.S. Pat. No. 5,505,356 is a back support strap with removable tool holders.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION Technical ObjectiveTherefore, it is the objective of the present invention to create a storage device with a surface element that forms an organizer system, as well as a luggage system with such a storage device, in which high user comfort and increased flexibility for the user are provided with a small expenditure of time for packing and finding certain items when using different kinds of luggage.
Technical SolutionThis objective is solved through a storage device according to the features of the indicated part of patent claim 1, or a luggage system according to the features of claim 16.
Thus, the invention provides a storage device with a surface element that forms an organizer system, having multiple bag elements and/or reception devices for receiving bag elements or functional elements that are arranged on one side of the surface element in a respectively defined position. Here, according to the invention, respectively one bag element is assigned to a content with a certain function, wherein the content of the bag elements represents a basic equipment for a user, containing essential items that are to be carried along at all times, and the surface element is embodied for being transferable for optional use in at least one piece of luggage or an item of clothing for definable functions, travel or day segments as a corresponding part of the storage device, and can be fixedly attached by means of a retaining appliance.
Advantageous EffectsThe storage device according to the invention combines the advantages of an organizer system with that of a modular bag system.
By providing multiple bag elements and/or reception appliances for receiving bag elements or functional elements, the essential items for a user, which are to be carried along at all times for respective functions, a section of a day or of a travel trip, can be arranged in a clearly organized manner inside bag elements or compartments that are especially dimensioned, and for example also designed with a view to the need for protection. The items respectively stored therein are always at a predefined location and can be found quickly.
Further, a compatibility with other pieces of luggage or items of clothing of different kinds is created in the invention in an advantageous manner. The individual bag elements, such as for example a sleeve for a single object or a wallet, key bag or small bag for optical, cosmetic or pharmaceutic items, can be attached at the surface element either in a detachable or a permanent manner in a variable arrangement and with a minimal expenditure of time, and they can be arranged together with the same in a simple manner, and can also be arranged in just one step in another, possibly bigger piece of luggage or an item of clothing. The only precondition is that the other piece of luggage or item of clothing has a suitable reception possibility and retaining means acting together with the surface element. That can be easily realized in particular in bags and items of clothing by a particular manufacturer or of a certain system respectively comprising attachment mechanisms of the same type.
Such a further piece of luggage can be a bag of any kind, in particular a travel bag, sports bag, brief case, shopping bag, handbag or clutch, a suitcase or a backpack, respectively with or without rollers.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, also the surface element itself, which is generally characterized by a small depth, can be converted into a separate bag by folding. Such a separate bag with basic equipment for the user can be a clutch which is open at its sides and towards the upper edge of the surface element, or a handbag that has straps or handles.
The combining options with pieces of clothing, which may in particular be a jacket or a coat, are just as broad.
Particularly when travelling or in the case of often changing situations that require a correspondingly adjusted outer appearance, such as for example work, restaurant, sports, travel etc., a clear arrangement and quick repacking time of often needed items is very important. Thanks to the possibility of storing the content of a bag inside another storage container without any repacking, the storage device according to the invention offers a considerable increase in comfort to the user.
When it comes to a clear arrangement, as particular advantage of the invention is that respectively one bag element is assigned to a content of a certain function. Here, the function is preferably adjusted to the basic needs of the user who wishes to carry along the packed surface element as basic equipment at all times.
Therefore, it is advantageous if the function of the provided bag elements is respectively selected from one or multiple of the areas of storage for a cellphone, credit, debit or visiting cards, identification documents, money, keys, pens and optical, pharmaceutical or cosmetics products. As for the latter, for example a small bag is suitable, which may be filled according to the individual needs of the user with items that have to be carried along as a necessity, such as for example glasses or medication. A pen can be arranged in a simple manner by means of a simple loop strap, for example in a central area of the surface element that is provided for folding. Further, a bag element that is formed as a key pouch can be designed with a key ring.
The assignment of functions may be predefined by the dimensioning and the geometric design, or can be determined by the user, wherein multi-functionality may also be provided, with flexibility being ensured for the individual needs of the user.
Thus, the arrangement of the individual bag elements for each desired function is still possible, even if the packed surface element is transferred, for example within a line of luggage or clothing of a certain brand, so that the user may always find certain items at the same location at the surface element.
Given a suitable size of the surface element, it is of course also conceivable to fill it with bag elements for further items, such as for example tablet computers, stationary, clothing, etc. However, the storing possibilities and transferability is limited with increasing size.
With a very flat embodiment of the organizer system, i.e. with a small depth perpendicular to a plane of the surface element, all bag elements and reception areas for the functional elements of the previously described areas of the storage can be arranged on a single side of the surface element, which also results in a very good accessibility if attached at a wall of the piece of luggage or item of clothing.
The bag elements can be per se separate, closable sleeves, which may be connected in a detachable or a permanent manner to the surface element. Also conceivable are bag elements between multiple layers of the surface element, in particular for receiving documents or other thin items.
However, in particular if the surface element can be turned into a separate clutch or handbag, further bag elements or reception areas, for example for credit or visiting cards, can be provided on a side of the surface element that is facing away from the main side with the essential bag elements and that is not accessible when attached at a wall of a piece of luggage. They may for example be closable by means of a zipper or another suitable closing means, and can be accessed particularly easily in the folded state when arranged at the exterior side of the clutch or the handbag.
What can also be provided on a side of the surface element that is facing away from the main side with the essential bag elements is a closing means, such as for example a zipper, for a bag element that can also be accessed from the main side, so that an easy access of the content is possible form both sides in a surface element that is closed into a clutch.
For maintaining the arrangement with the most varied arrangements of the retrieval opening of the bag element, as well as for protecting the received items, it is advantageous if the bag elements have a closure appliance for securing the contents against falling out or being stolen from a retrieval opening of the bag element. Thus, such a closure appliance also provides an effective protection against theft in particular in open bags, such as for example shopping bags with a storage device for the correspondingly important basic equipment of the user being arranged therein.
If the content inside the bag element is correspondingly secured, the retrieval opening can be aligned vertically or horizontally or transversely inside the storage device in the closed state of the closure appliance. In this way, any desired arrangement of the bag [element], even in an “upside down” arrangement, such as in the case that a surface element is folded into a clutch, is possible in or at another reception element acting together with the same.
In principle, the closure appliance can be embodied by any kind of lock that is known in pieces of luggage or clothing. A press button connection is easiest with respect to handling, ensuring secure affixing and high reliability at the same time. However, depending on the application case, also a Velcro-type connection, a latch connection including a conventional insert-and-twist element, a passage hole connection, or a button-buttonhole connection, a hook connection including known zipper systems, a snap-in connection, in particular a clip connection, or a magnetic connection may be advantageous.
The same variability regarding the closure types mentioned with respect to the closure appliance is also given with the selection options for the type of closure of the retaining appliance by means of which the surface element may be affixed at a piece of luggage or item of clothing. Here, too, the advantage of an increased securing against theft is of great importance, since the user would otherwise lose items that are essential to them.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the surface element is made of a flexible material, in particular leather or a textile. In principle, what is also conceivable is a substantially stiff embodiment of the surface element. However, application flexibility of the surface element is increased with a flexible material.
Further, it is advantageous if the retaining appliance is arranged, with at least one retaining means, with respect to the dimensioning of the packed surface elements so far from a bottom area of the piece of luggage receiving the surface element that the lower edge of the surface element is at least approximately flush with the bottom area, wherein the surface element supports the stability of the piece of luggage or the bag, or the bottom area is not touched by the packed surface element. For example, the surface element can be arranged with its upper edge in an upper edge are of the piece of luggage facing away from the bottom area of the same. In this manner, easy accessibility to the bag elements and functional elements is ensured at the surface element, and any stowage or formation of knots of parts of the packed surface element at the bottom of the piece of luggage compromising the clear arrangement and accessibility as well as increasing the volume is avoided. Thus, thanks to the slim embodiment of the packed surface element, the usability of the bottom area of the piece of luggage is not restricted for other items.
In a particularly easy-to-handle embodiment, the retaining appliance can be designed in such a manner that the surface element is transferable in the packed state by actuating maximally two retaining means, for example two passage-hole turn lock elements.
Thus, the retaining means of the retaining appliance for affixing the surface element at a respective piece of luggage or item of clothing can for a closure in an advantageous manner, so that the entire surface element including the bags arranged thereat and the content essential for the user is better protected from theft.
The user friendliness of the organizer system is further increased if the respectively quickest and most simple access type is used for the respective bag elements.
Here, it can be advantageous if at least one of the bag elements is formed with a access appliance having at least one ribbon, wherein the bag element is formed with at least a first and a second wall that are arranged opposite each other and delimit an interior space, with the walls being connected to each other at least via a bottom area, and wherein the ribbon is attached at one of the walls above the bottom area and is guided out of interior space with a free end through an opening at the opposing wall above the bottom area, wherein the length and guidance of the ribbon are designed in such a manner that, as the ribbon is moved from the interior space, a content that is located therein is gripped by the ribbon and moved away from the bottom area.
Through the lifting mechanism of the access appliance, the content of the bag element can be simply pushed out of the interior space by pulling the ribbon. This facilitates access to various items inside a bag element, such as for example credit cards, cellphones, cosmetics articles etc. When the contents are pushed into the interior space, the ribbon is also automatically pushed into the interior space, so that the ribbon can protect the content of the bag element from falling out by means of the closure appliance and the latter is thus stored safely at its respective location.
In a very simple embodiment, the first and second wall can be simply sewn, riveted or bonded together in the bottom area, as well as at two sides. For receiving larger or multiple items, the bag element can also be formed with correspondingly wide side walls between the first and the second wall that respectively have a larger surface that the side walls. The same applies to the bottom area of the bag element, which can be embodied with a seam or with a bottom wall, depending on the application case.
In the closed state of the closure appliance, the ribbon of a corresponding access appliance can be guided between the first wall and the second wall via a retrieval opening of the bag element opposite to the bottom area to secure content against falling out. Here, the free ribbon end can have a closure element.
In an expedient embodiment, the reception appliance that fixedly attaches the respective bag element at the surface element can have a loop strap that in particular acts together with the ribbon as a retaining element, and that is for example formed by two material slits in the surface element. What is also conceivable as a retaining element is a lug or a closing element of the closure appliance, for example a counter element that acts together withe a press button part at a free end of the ribbon.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the ribbon can be made of a more flexible, in particular thinner, material than the first and second wall of the bag element. Thus, the walls may for example be designed of thick leather that stiffens the bag element, and the ribbon can be made of a thinner, easily bendable leather piece. In principle, the ribbon can also be designed of a different material than the other elements of the bag element, and can for example be an elastic rubber band.
As for the width dimensions, in an advantageous embodiment, the ribbon can have an extension in its area that is facing the bottom in order to be better able to grip the respective content. Here, it can also be advantageous if the area of the ribbon facing towards the bottom area is reinforced, or is designed in the kind of a bowl. Here, the ribbon can also be interrupted, and can be connected to a shell element of a different material at its interruption points.
In particular in bag elements for receiving larger items, the ribbon can be connected to at least another ribbon for gripping the content in the interior space from below, wherein the ribbon can form a triangle ribbon with two attachment points at the bag element.
A luggage system with at least two pieces of luggage and at least one storage device according to the invention, in which the retaining appliance for affixing the surface element at the respective piece of luggage is arranged in each piece of luggage at the same distance from a bottom area of the piece of luggage, so that the surface element with its bottom edge is at least approximately flush with the bottom area, combines the previously mentioned advantages in a modular system, in which a user can always repack the elements essential for them into the currently required piece of luggage with a single motion.
The features specified in the patent claims as well as the features specified in the following exemplary embodiments of the storage device according to the invention are respectively suitable on their own or in any combination with each other for embodying the subject matter according to the invention.
Further advantages and advantageous embodiment forms of a storage device and a luggage system according to the invention follow from the patent claims and the exemplary embodiments that will be described in principle in the following by referring the drawing, wherein, with a view to clarity, the same reference signs are respectively used for structural components having the same structure and functions.
Exemplary embodiments of a storage device designed according to the invention with a surface element forming an organizer system are shown in a schematic and simplified manner in the drawing, and explained in more detail in the following
Herein:
Each of the bag elements 5 is assigned to a content 16 with a certain function, wherein the organizer system 2 as a whole has the function of keeping ready the basic equipment with the items that are essential for the personal needs of a user. In the present case, this includes a cellphone, credit, debit or visiting cards, cash, keys and identification documents, such as for example a driver's license or ID. To provide further adjustment to the individual needs of a user, it is useful to provide a further bag element for small items, such as glasses or pharmaceutic or cosmetic products. A limitation to these bag elements is helpful in particular with respect to the versatility of use.
In the present case, the surface element 3 is made of a flexible leather patch 18, onto which presently two bag elements 5 are sewn on a side 4 or sewn between two layers of the surface element 3, being closable by means of a closure appliance 9 that is embodied as a zipper. Further bag elements 7, 8 are attached in a detachable or permanent manner at corresponding reception appliances 6 of the surface element 3, wherein, depending on the content, bag elements adjusted and equipped for the purpose can be chosen.
Thus, the detachably attached bag elements 7 are separate sleeves, which—as can in particular be seen in
For retention at a surface element 3 as well as for closing the respective bag elements 7 and for facilitating the access to their content 16, the bag elements 7 have respectively one ribbon 17. In the shown embodiments, it simultaneously forms a retention element for attachment at a surface element 3, an element of a closure appliance 19 for securing the contents 16 in the interior space 15, and an element of an access appliance 20.
The surface element 3 that is provided with a basic equipment for the user can be optionally transferred depending on the requirement situation for example from a travel bag 21 as shown in
For affixing the surface elements 3 at an internal side or, depending on the application case, also an exterior side of a piece of luggage or item of clothing, respectively one retaining appliance 24 is provided, which may be formed by two retaining means 25 at the surface element 3 as well as corresponding counterparts 26 at the respective bag 21, 22 or piece of clothing 23. If in the shown embodiments the retaining appliance 24 is formed as a latch connection with passage hole openings 25 as retaining means at the surface element 3 and turn lock elements 26 that may be inserted through these retaining means at the bags 21, 22 or the coat 23, it can be actuated quickly and easily, which facilitates a particularly simple re-hanging of the surface element 3.
The retaining elements 25, 26 for fixedly attaching the packed surface element 3 at a wall of the bags 21, 22 are arranged at such a distance from a bottom area 27 of the bags 21, 22 at their upper edge area 28 that a lower edge 33 of the surface elements 3 is at least approximately flush with the bottom area 27, and consequently no stowage of the surface element as well as elements attached thereto at the bottom of the bag may occur. Thus, the packed surface element 3 hangs inside the respective bag 21, 22, which in total facilitates a design of the bag 21, 22 with a small depth perpendicularly to a basic plane of the surface element 3.
To design the surface element 3 containing the basic equipment for the user in such a way that it is as uncomplicated as possible to handle, in particular when it comes to rehanging it between pieces of luggage or items of clothing of different types, only two easy-to-use retaining means 25 are provided.
As can in particular be seen from
For easily locking the bottom area of the surface element 3 in the folded state at the upper area of the surface element 3, further retention means 34, which are formed in an analogous manner to the retaining means 26 provided at the bags 21, 22 as turn lock elements, can be provided at the bottom edge 33, referring to the hung-up state. In the folded state of the clutch 35, the turn lock elements 34 can be passed through the passage hole openings 25 at the upper edge 30 of the surface element, and can be locked thereat.
Since, in a state of the surface element 3 in which it is folded into a clutch 35, a part of the bag elements 7 that are attached thereat are now present in a “upside down” arrangement on an internal side of the clutch 35, it is useful to provide a bag element 8 that is arranged at this side with two retrieval openings 36, 37 upwards as well as downwards with respect to the hung-up state of the surface element 3, which can be respectively secured by a suitable closure element 38 of the closure appliance 19 of the bag elements 7. In the shown embodiment, the closure elements 38 are press button elements, respectively.
Through the closure appliance 19 of the respective bag element 7, its content 16 is secured independently of the arrangement of a retrieval opening 36, 37, so that the bag elements 7 can be arranged vertically or horizontally or transversely or also “upside down” inside the respective piece of luggage or clothing.
In the rendering of the partially and completely folded clutch 35 in
As can in particular be seen from
The length and guidance of the ribbon 17, which in the present case is made of leather like the respective bag element 7 itself, are designed in such a manner that, when the ribbon 17 is pulled out of the interior space 15 according to the state as shown in
For embodying the reception appliance 6, by means of which the bag elements 7 are held at the surface element 3, respectively one loop strap is provided in the shown embodiments, wherein the loop strap 6 is formed by two material slits 38, 39 at the surface element 3. The ribbon 17 is thus guided, with its free end 17A, through the opening 40 in the bag element 7 that is embodied as a slit and through the material slits 38, 39 of the surface element 3 g, wherein the free end 17A of the ribbon 17 has a closure element 41 of the closure appliance 19 which here is realized as a press button closure.
In the closed state of the closure appliance 19, the ribbon 17 is guided via a retrieval opening 36 of the bag element 7 located opposite the bottom area 12 between the first wall 10 and the second wall 11, locking in place the content 16 in the interior space 15 of the bag element 7.
By contrast, also all other known attachment and closure means that are suitable for this purpose may be chosen for affixing the bag elements 7 at the surface element 3, as well as for closing the respective bag element.
