Description
BACKGROUND

The use of various bibs for protection against accidental spills are known. In these devices can be as simple as a plastic covering with end ties for attachment to one's neck. Other known bibs, have pockets for holding various items, or to catch accidental food spillage.

However, these bibs are not suitable for use during driving, or in instances outside the home for example in sporting events. First, it is inconvenient for consumers to take bibs with themselves on driving or to sporting events. Accordingly, a disposable bib is necessary. Second, because plastic bibs, similar to plastic bags in grocery stores, are not easily expandable and opened, there is a need for a mechanism to open the bib quickly, and conveniently, especially if one is driving. This is especially true because if one's hands are greasy, it is almost impossible to manipulate a plastic bib.

Therefore there is a need for a disposable bib that can be opened and expanded easily. There is also a need for a bib, that contains pockets for holding various items such as food items, napkins, or to catch spilled food.

SUMMARY

In a preferred embodiment, the bib further comprising a napkin situated closer to the end adjacent to one's mouth. In another preferred embodiment, the bib also further comprises at least one pocket for storage of food or other material.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 shows the rolled expandable bib.

FIG. 2 shows the expanded expandable bib.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As shown in FIG. 1, the invention comprises of a geometric shaped bib 10, having at least one closed end air channel 12. The bib is preferably constructed from a thin layer of plastic. The plastic can be as thin as 1.0 millimeter.

The air channel has at least one opening for air inlet 14. The geometric shaped bib 10 can be of any shape, for example rectangular, square, triangle, circle or other shapes and can be imprinted with any type of message, logo, or advertisement. Bib 10 can also be of different sizes. It is understood that the larger the bib, the more the area of protection against accidental spills. 1.

The bib also has end ties 16, for engaging and attaching to one's neck. The end tie can be manufactured in such a manner so as to be hung around one's neck, or be comprised of two end ties to be tied around one's neck. The bib is optionally provided with a napkin 18 situated closer to the side adjacent to one's mouth. The bib is also optionally further comprised of at least one pocket 20 for storage of food or other material.

FIG. 1. shows the bib in un-expanded form and in a rolled fashion. It is similar to a straw. In order to use the bib, the consumer blows into the air inlet which automatically expands the bib and becomes ready for use as shown in FIG. 2.
