GRIP SECRET
A grip secret for A golf grip training aid that fits over the golf grip on a golf club. The grip secret generally includes Molded material that fits into the palm of the right hand in between and under the right thumb and index finger while fitting over the golf club to train golfer's proper right hand placement and pressure on the golf club.
The present invention relates generally to golf training aids and more specifically it relates to a grip secret for a golf grip training aid that fits over the golf grip on a golf club.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe invention generally relates to a golf grip training aid which includes molded material that fits into the palm of the right hand in between and under the right thumb and index finger while fitting over the golf club to train golfer's proper right hand placement and pressure on the golf club.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, some of the features of the invention in order that the detailed description thereof may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the invention that will be described hereinafter.
In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction or to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of other embodiments and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein are for the purpose of the description and should not be regarded as limiting.
An object is to provide a grip secret for a golf grip training device that fits over the golf grip or the golf shaft on a golf club.
Another object is to provide a Grip Secret that trains golfers the correct or preferred right hand position when gripping the golf club.
Another object is to provide a Grip Secret that trains golfers the correct right hand pressure when gripping the golf club.
Another object to provide a Grip Secret that the training device fits over the golf clubs.
Other objects and advantages of the present invention will become obvious to the reader and it is intended that these objects and advantages are within the scope of the present invention. To the accomplishment of the above and related objects, this invention may be embodied in the form illustrated in the accompanying drawings, attention being called to the fact, however, that the drawings are illustrative only, and that changes may be made in the specific construction illustrated and described with the scope of this application.
Various other objects, features and attendant advantages of the present invention will become fully appreciated as the same becomes better understood when considered in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which like reference characters designate the same or similar parts throughout the several views, and wherein:
Top view of the golf training device formed from molded material as shown in
Side view of the golf training device as shown in
Front view of the golf training device formed from molded material as shown in
Rear view of the golf training device formed from molded material as shown in
The golf training device formed from molded material as shown in
The golf training device formed from molded material as shown in
Turning now descriptively to the drawings, in which similar reference characters denote similar elements throughout the several views, the figures illustrate the golf training device that fits into the palm of the right hand in between and under the right thumb and index finger while fitting over the golf club to train golfers proper right hand placement and pressure on the golf club.
B. Molded MaterialThe material of the golf training device is molded in such a fashion as to provide comfortable positioning of the palm, index finger and thumb on the golf club.
There is an inside surface and outside surface of the golf training device formed from molded material which may be flexible. The inside surface of the golf training device is curved into a discontinuous cylinder in such manner as to fit over and on to the grip or the shaft of the golf club (see
The golf training device may be altered to fit a left handed golfer's left hand. The outside curvature of the material would vary to facilitate that.
C. Hardness of Molded MaterialThe material is soft/flexible enough to provide feedback to the user for proper grip pressure on the club.
The material is firm enough to fit onto the golf club but also soft enough to provide some feedback as to the pressure that the golf is gripping the club with the right hand.
The material may vary in hardness and durability.
D. Inside Molded MaterialThe material is molded in such a way as to fit on the grip of the golf club.
The inside of the golf training device is an open ended diameter large enough to fit over a golf club or golf shaft but small enough for a firm pressure fitting (see
The diameter of the cavity defined by the inside surface of the golf training device can be varied to fit over different golf clubs and grip types.
There is a “V” that fits in between the index finger and thumb to indicate where the golf should position the hand on the club. The “V” is a integral part of the golf training device and is visible to the golfer (see
The “V” can be different sizes and or different colors to highlight it on the molded material.
F. Connections of Main Elements and Sub-Elements of the InventionThe curvatures of the outside surface and inside surface of the of training device allow for proper placement of the hand on the club.
G. Alternative Embodiments of the InventionThe golf training device can be molded to fit into the left hand or a left handed golfer in the same way that it fits into the right hand of a right handed golfer.
H. Operation of Preferred EmbodimentThe golf training device fits into the palm of the right hand in between and under the right thumb and index finger while fitting over the golf club to train golfers proper right hand placement and pressure on the golf club. The golfer puts the golf training device over and onto the golf club and then positions the molded material in such a way that when in the right hand is properly positioned on the club. The “V” on the molded material should point towards the right shoulder when properly positioned in the right hand and on the golf club.
What has been described and illustrated herein is a preferred embodiment of the invention along with some of its variations. The terms, descriptions and figures used herein are set forth by way of illustration only and are not meant as limitations. Those skilled in the art will recognize that many variations are possible within the spirit and scope of the invention in which all terms are meant in their broadest, reasonable sense unless otherwise indicated. Any headings utilized within the description are for convenience only and have no legal or limiting effect.
