strength assistance apparatus

A pushup exercise apparatus comprised of a resistance band rectangle in shape large enough to cross the upper torso and encompass the both of the upper arms above the elbow is fed through the adjustable slides creating an adjustable loop around each arm for individual fitment of the athlete's size and dimension. Fitment across the upper torso and around the arms should be snug with little to no slack when the arms are shoulder width apart pointing away from the body.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The resistance band rectangle in shape large enough to cross the upper torso and encompass the upper arm above the elbow

(101) adjustable slides for sizing the band around the upper arm above the elbow and below the shoulder creating a loop

The resistance band (100) rectangle in shape large enough to cross the upper torso and encompass the both of the upper arms above the elbow is fed through the adjustable slides (101) creating an adjustable loop around each arm for individual fitment of the athlete's size and dimension.

The resistance band (100) rectangle in shape large enough to cross the upper torso and encompass the both of the upper arms above the elbow is fed through the adjustable slides (101) creating an adjustable loop around each arm for individual fitment of the athlete's size and dimension. Fitment across the upper torso and around the arms should be snug with little to no slack when the arms are shoulder width apart pointing away from the body. Once in the pushup position tension against the elastic band is increased as the chest is lowered to the floor, thus reducing the weight load on the muscles involved in this movement. As the athlete presses up the tension on the elastic band is slowly returned to its static position.

All three elements are crucial in make the apparatus adjustable to the youth athlete's size and strength ability.

Fitment across the upper torso and around the arms can be loosened or tightened with more or less slack when the arms are shoulder width apart pointing away from the body. Thus creating more or less resistance in the weight load in the pushup position. By increasing or decreasing this tension in the elastic band it will allow the athlete to advance his or her potential in repetition or weight load.

Claims

1. The exercise apparatus is designed to help undeveloped children, or youth athletes develop proper pushup form and technique. The resistance band rectangle in shape long enough to cross the upper torso and encompass the both of the upper arms above the elbow is fed through the adjustable slides creating an adjustable loop around each arm for individual fitment of the athlete's size and dimension. Fitment across the upper torso and around the arms should be snug with little to no slack when the arms are shoulder width apart pointing away from the body. Once in the pushup position tension against the resistance band is increased as the chest is lowered to the floor, thus reducing the weight load on the muscles involved in this movement. As the athlete presses up the tension on the resistance band is slowly returned to its static position.

The device creates resistance against gravity, by reducing the weight load of user. There for it requires less muscular strength to do a pushup.
Currently there are no devices that reduce the weight load for youth athletes in this particular manner.
Other strength training devises require weights or machines that are bulky or unstable for youth athletes which can make them unsafe for youth athletes Weights and or machines that can be unstable for the undeveloped muscles of youth athletes which can make them unsafe
