Adventure Park
The adventure park is a transportable, compact complete construction, which can be repeatedly assembled and disassembled. The complete construction comprises a rectangular tower, which two sides are open and two sides are covered with diagonally cross-tightened cables, and which has posts for corners. A passage, a stairway, a climbing pole and an equipment for the swing set and free fall attractions are inside of the tower. A climbing wall is mounted to two posts and a rappelling wall is also mounted to two posts.
The invention belongs to the field of entertainment. More specifically, the invention relates to a compact adventure park comprising several amusement attractions in one construction, which can be conveniently disassembled and transported to the desired location, and re-assembled.
PRIOR ARTKnown are the stationary adventure parks, which are built into the wild and usually cover a large area (e.g. www.seikluspark.ee). Adventure parks comprise a number of tracks with attractions that are built up in the trees, including zip slides. Known adventure parks are stationary and require permanent walls, trees, rocks, onto which the attractions can be installed. To establish a stationary adventure park, it is also necessary to have building permits, coordination on nature conservation, detailed plans, etc. In addition, the stationary adventure parks are built on a large area, which sets the requirements for the size of the land area to be used.
Individual amusement attractions (e.g. a climbing wall, a catapult, an observation tower, a Ferris wheel, a rappelling wall, a climbing track, a swing set, or the equipment necessary for bungee jumping, etc.) are also well known. These are structural means designed for individual attractions, which cannot be constructed into one complete solution.
Known is the amusement park (US2007265103, Vekoma Rides Eng BV, published on 15 Nov. 2007), which is divided into rows of compartments, where each row contains a set of compartments that are placed in various horizontal and vertical positions. Movable equipment units are designed for visitors, preferably the support sets with seating, for one or more visitors, and are movable in the vertical direction, at least. The visitors' set and/or the row of compartments are adjustable horizontally. A program of the attractions is supplied with a start-up system, which is intended for the movement of visitors between the sites along the circle. This solution is for the visitors to see the attractions, and where the simulations of the attractions are demonstrated. The visitors themselves do not take part of the attractions.
In terms of technical nature, the closest solution to the invention is the “Movable amusement park” (JPS61175197, Ube Industries Ltd., published on 6 Aug. 1986), which is a ship sailing in a circle with amusement facilities such as a merry-go-round, a Ferris wheel, a roller coaster, and others installed on the top deck of the ship. The inside of the ship is divided into several floors with each floor having its own recreation hall, a restaurant, etc. This is a complete entertainment center with all the attractions in one place (in the ship), but each attraction is permanently mounted in the appropriate entertainment hall, and cannot be taken apart and, if necessary, set-up to another location on the ship.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTIONIn the adventure park provided, a variety of attractions, which are used as separate constructions with known solutions, can be used simultaneously in one complete construction. These various attractions in the provided solution are a climbing pole, a climbing wall, a swing set, a rappelling, a free fall attraction.
The complete construction of the adventure park is a compact construction that can be repeatedly assembled and disassembled, which makes the adventure park transportable, and allows thereof to be placed to the “temporary location” as necessary. The construction of the adventure park consists preferably of metal parts, connectable with bolts.
This adventure park is a rectangular tower, which corners are posts made of metal structure and where the upper and lower parts of the posts are connected with horizontal connecting parts. In the upper part of the tower, a passage is connected to the posts and the horizontal connecting parts, which can be used as an intercommunicating passage between three posts. The tower is open on two sides, the other two sides of the tower are covered with diagonally cross-mounted cables to support the tower. The opposite corners of the upper part of the tower are connected with the cables for the same purpose. Stairs are mounted to four posts, providing an access to attractions (e.g. a climbing pole, swinging, rappelling, free fall) in the upper part of the tower.
The inner part of the tower is empty, and is intended for carrying out various attractions.
A climbing pole is mounted to one post of the tower, which can be used to climb securely above the level of the passage. Swinging shall take place from the middle of the passage on one side through the open side below the opposite passage. The free fall attraction shall be carried out between the other open side. The rappelling wall for rappelling shall be mounted to two posts and the climbing wall also to two posts.
The advantage of the provided adventure park is the compactness, the mobility and the chance to set the adventure park up in the locations where there are no conditions for the establishment of a stationary adventure park. Also, it is not necessary to draw up a detailed plan for the establishment of the adventure park. All of the attractions can be carried out at the same time. The adventure park can be disassembled and re-assembled.
The provided adventure park is a rectangular tower built on a strong and flat surface and which corners are posts 1, 2, 3, 4, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 made of metal structure, and where the upper and lower parts of the posts are connected with horizontal connecting parts 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
Two sides of the rectangular tower are open; two sides are covered with diagonally cross-tightened cables 13, 14, 15, 16. The opposite corners of the upper part of the tower are also connected with the cables 17, 18. The inner part of the tower is empty, and is intended for swinging. A trajectory of the swinging passes one open side. Two of the swinging ropes are fastened to the eye plates 19, 20 fixed to the main girder of the passage 35 on the open side. The other open side is for the free fall attraction.
The assembly of the adventure park shall be carried out as follows: firstly, all parts of the outer edges 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 of the tower shall be connected on the ground with joints and the opposite corners of the upper side shall be connected with the cables 17, 18. The joints allow the frame, connected together on the ground, to be lifted up with a crane, after which the joints are fixed. Then, the other vertical posts 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and horizontal connecting parts 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 of the tower shall be fixed. Cables 13, 14, 15, 16 shall be cross-fixed on the sides and the floor of the passage 35 shall be installed. A stairway 36 shall be mounted to four posts 3, 24, 25, 26, providing an access to attractions in the upper part of the tower; the climbing wall 38 shall be mounted to two posts 2, 23 and the rappelling wall 37 also to two posts 2, 21. The climbing pole 39 shall be mounted to the upper part of the post 2 of the tower. Sliders 40, 41, which are oblong cuboids open on two sides and equipped with a roller and a stick, are fixed to the horizontal parts 5, 33 and 8, 34 above the launching platform of the swinging and free fall attractions. A visitor shall be fastened to the slider and moved from the platform of the passage above the inner empty part of the tower.
Attractions of the adventure park are:
A climbing pole 39, which is fixed to the upper part of the post 2 of the tower. The mast is equipped with two carabiners 42, 43, a roller 44 and a rope 45, so that the user of the attraction could securely climb up high on the mast and back down to the passage 35. One end of the rope is connected with the carabiner 42 to the harness 46 worn by the user of the attraction. The rope passes through the roller 44 at the top of the climbing pole and attaches through the instructor's safety equipment 47.
A climbing wall 38, which is mounted to two posts 2, 23 of the tower and is equipped with grips for hands and feet 48, two carabiners 49, 50, a roller 51, an eye plate 52, safety equipment 53, and a safety rope 54. The roller 51 is fixed to the edge of the outer horizontal part 8 above the climbing wall 38. The user of the attraction shall be fastened to the safety rope 52 with the carabiner 50 on the ground. The instructor shall hold in his/her hand the safety rope 53, which passes through the safety equipment 52 fixed to the harness of the instructor with the carabiner 49, and a roller 51. The other end of the safety rope 53 is fixed to the harness of the user of the attraction with the carabiner 50. The user of the attraction, fastened to the safety rope, climbs up the climbing wall 38 by using the grips for hands and feet 48. While up, the user can go to the next attraction or descend along the climbing wall 38 back down.
A swing set, which is equipped with swinging ropes 55, 56, a carabiner 57, a slider 40, work ropes 58, 59, and the Rig self-braking descender from Petzl 60. The starting point of the swing set is located in the middle of the passage 35 opposite to the open side of the tower. On the passage 35, the user of the attraction is fastened to the slider 40, which is fixed to the horizontal parts 5, 33 above the launching platform. The work rope, which consists of two ropes 58, 59 that are interconnected by the Rig self-braking descender 60, is fastened to the harness of the user of the attraction. The upper work rope 58 is fixed to the slider 40. By using the slider 40, the user of the attraction is then pushed over the edge of the passage 35. Then, two swinging ropes 55, 56 are fixed to the harness of the user of the attraction with the carabiner 57. The instructor releases the work rope 59 from the self-braking descender and the user of the attraction falls to the swing set. If the swinging momentum subsides, a ladder shall be placed under the user of the attraction and the instructor shall help the user to remove the swinging rope.
A rappelling attraction, which is equipped with a descent rope 61 and a safety rope 62, safety equipment 63 and a self-braking descender 64, and carabiners 65, 66 for fastening, a carabiner 67 for fastening the safety rope of the visitor, an eye plate 68 of the descent rope, and a roller 69. The eye plate 68 with a roller 69 is fixed to the edge of the outer horizontal part 5 above the passage 35. The user of the attraction shall be fastened to the safety rope 62 with the carabiner 65 and to the descent rope 61 with the self-braking descender 64 on the platform of the passage 35. The user then shall take a horizontal position on the outer edge 27 of the passage 35 and descend along the rappelling wall 37 to the ground. The instructor on the ground shall hold in his/her hand the safety rope 62, which passes through the safety equipment 63 fixed to the harness of the instructor with the carabiner 65, and a roller 69. The other end of the safety rope 62 is fixed to the harness of the user of the attraction with the carabiner 67.
A free fall attraction, for which a slider 41 with rope system, wherein the work rope, to which the user of the attraction is fastened, consists of two ropes 70, 71 that are interconnected by the self-braking descender 72, is fixed to the girders 8, 34 above the open side of the tower. A ring 73, to which the bungee cord is fixed 74, is fastened to the lower rope 71 of the rescue rope. The user of the attraction and horizontal ropes 77, 78 that have rollers 79, 80 at the ends, are fastened to the bungee cord with the carabiner 75. The rollers move around the vertical ropes 81, 82 allowing the horizontal ropes 77, 78 to freely move up and down, and hold out the possibility for the user of the attraction to swing against the nearby posts 22, 23, 24, 26 while in free fall. The bungee cord 74 is fixed to the eye plate 83 that is mounted to the girder 30 under the passage 35.
Claims
1. Adventure park containing a variety of attractions, such as the climbing pole, climbing wall, swing set, rappelling attraction, free fall attraction wherein the adventure park is a transportable, compact complete construction, which can be repeatedly assembled and disassembled, comprising a rectangular tower, which two sides are open and two sides are covered with diagonally cross-tightened cables, and which has posts for corners where the upper and lower parts of the posts are connected with horizontal connecting parts and the opposite corners of the upper side of the tower are connected with the cables, passage is mounted to inner posts and horizontal connecting parts in the upper part of the tower, stairway is mounted between the posts, climbing pole is mounted to the upper part of the post, equipment for the swing set and free fall attractions, climbing wall is mounted to the posts and the rappelling wall mounted to the posts, equipment for the rappelling, swinging and free fall attractions is mounted to the upper horizontal parts of the tower, and that the attractions of the complete construction of the adventure park are optional to be used simultaneously.
2. The adventure park accordingly to claim 1 wherein it is made from parts of a metal structure.
3. The adventure park accordingly to claim 1, wherein the climbing pole is equipped with two carabiners, a roller and a rope, wherein, one end of the rope is connected with the carabiner to a harness worn by a user of the attraction and through the roller to the safety equipment.
4. The adventure park accordingly to claim 1, wherein the climbing wall is equipped with grips for hands and feet, two carabiners, a roller, an eye plate, safety equipment, and a safety rope, wherein, the roller is fixed to the edge of the outer horizontal part above the climbing wall.

The adventure park accordingly to claim 1, wherein the swing set is equipped with swinging ropes, a carabiner, a slider, work ropes, and the Rig self-braking descender from Petzl, eye plates for the swinging ropes, which are fixed to the horizontal part, wherein, the starting point of the swing set is located in the middle of the passage opposite to the open side and, wherein, a slider is fixed to the horizontal parts above the launching platform.

Adventure park accordingly to claim 1, wherein the rappelling attraction is equipped with a descent rope, a safety rope, safety equipment and a self-braking descender, ropes with carabiners, user of the attraction is fastened with a safety rope (62), a carabiner, a descent rope, an eye plate and a roller, wherein, the eye plate of the roller is fixed to the edge of the outer horizontal part above the passage.

The adventure park accordingly to claim 1, wherein for the free fall attraction, a slider with rope system, wherein the work rope consists of two ropes that are interconnected by the self-braking descender is fixed to the girders above the open side of the tower, ring is fastened to the lower rope, a rope, to which other end a carabiner is fastened, is fixed to the ring, user of the attraction is fastened to the carabiner, bungee cord and horizontal ropes are also fastened to the ring, rollers, fixed at the ends of horizontal ropes, are fixed around ropes and the bungee cord is fixed to the eye plate that is mounted to the girder under the passage.
8. The adventure park accordingly to claim 1, wherein it has been put together as follows:
- all parts of the outer edges of the tower are connected on the ground with joints and the opposite corners of the upper side are connected with the cables;
- the joints allow the frame, connected together on the ground, to be lifted up with a crane, after which the joints are fixed;
- the other vertical posts and horizontal connecting parts of the tower are fixed;
- the cables are cross-fixed on the sides and the floor of the passage is installed;
- the stairway is mounted to four posts, providing an access to attractions in the upper part of the tower: the climbing wall is mounted to two posts; the rappelling wall is mounted to two posts; the climbing pole is mounted to the upper part of the post of the tower; sliders, which are oblong cuboids open on two sides and equipped with a roller and a stick, are fixed to the horizontal parts above the launching platform of the swinging and free fall attractions, user of the attraction is fastened to the slider and moved from the platform of the passage above the inner empty part of the tower when using the swinging and free fall attractions.
