Racer Back Ring
A racer back ring is an apparatus that converts a traditional bra with a couple of bra straps into a racerback bra. The traditional bra includes a couple of straps that are parallel to each other, whereas the racerback bra includes a point of connection between the couple of straps. In order to convert the parallel orientation of the couple of straps of a traditional bra into an X-shaped orientation, the apparatus includes a left curved arm, a right curved arm, and a connecting bar. The left curved arm secures a left bra strap around the connecting bar. The right curved arm secures a right bra strap around the connecting bar. The connecting bar connects the left curved arm to the right curved arm. The apparatus preferably includes a first rounded protrusion in order to alleviate the pressure of the apparatus against the back of the user.
The current application claims a priority to the U.S. Provisional Patent application Ser. No. 62/491,881 filed on Apr. 28, 2017. The current application is filed on Apr. 30, 2017 while Apr. 28, 2017 was on a weekend.
FIELD OF THE INVENTIONThe present invention generally relates to bra accessories. More specifically, the present invention is a manufactured bra converter with functional improvements.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONOne popular type of tops is racerback tops. However, with racerback tops, the bra straps of traditional bras are exposed creating a messy look.
A common problem among older women, with respect to bras, is keeping the bra straps on the shoulders. Bra straps tend to fall for older women due to muscle loss.
It is therefore an objective of the present invention to facilitate the connection the couple of bra straps along the back of the user. The present invention is manufactured of stainless steel 316L in order for the present invention to be soothing against the skin of the user, in other words to fit the organic nature of the skin tissue in a more ergonomic fashion. The present invention allows the point of connection of the couple of bra straps to be positioned in between the shoulder blades. Moreover, the point of connection is slideable along the couple of bra straps while securely attaching the left bra strap and the right bra strap with each other.
All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
The present invention is a racer back ring that converts a bra into a racerback bra. The present invention is manufactured with biocompatible materials and comprises an ergonomic structure. The structure and nature of the materials of the present invention strengthens the grip of the couple of bra straps and enhances the comfort of the user and the durability of the accessory. The present invention comprises a left curved arm 1, a right curved arm 7, and a connecting bar 13, as seen in
As illustrated in
In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the connecting bar 13 is positioned equidistant between the top slot 18 and the bottom slot 19, also seen in
In order for the shoulder blades of the user to freely move without uncomfortably coming into contact with the present invention, the left curved arm 1 comprises a first arched portion 4 and a second arched portion 5, as seen in
Similarly, in order for the shoulder blades of the user to freely move without uncomfortably coming into contact with the present invention, the right curved arm 7 comprises a first arched portion 10 and a second arched portion 11, also seen in
The preferred embodiment of the present invention further comprises a first rounded protrusion 20, as seen in
In order for the present invention to be soothing for the skin of the user, not only is the present invention manufactured with biocompatible, non-allergenic, and environmental materials, the left curved arm 1, the right curved arm 7, and the connecting bar 13 is made of stainless steel 316L, in order to fit the organic nature of the skin tissue in a more ergonomic fashion. In order for the present invention to feel comfortable pressed against the back of the user and between the shoulder blades of the user, a circular profile 22 profile is delineated by the left curved arm 1 and the right curved arm 7. More specifically, a ratio between a diameter 23 of the circular profile 22 profile and a width 17 of the connecting bar 13 is approximately 3:20. A ratio between a diameter 23 of the circular profile 22 profile and a width 6 of the left curved arm 1 is approximately 2:20. A ratio between a diameter 23 of the circular profile 22 profile and a width 12 of the right curved arm 7 is approximately 2:20. It is understood that various embodiments of the present invention may comprise varying ratios in order to accommodate a variety of users.
One structural fact about the present invention is that the left curved arm 1 and the right curved arm 7 are tangentially positioned at a 90-degree angle with the connecting bar 13, which provides a stronger hold onto the bra straps and provides comfort to the round structure of the skin tissue. Another structural fact about the present invention is that the first rounded protrusion 20 and the second rounded protrusion 21 are used to for ergonomic purposes, which allows the present invention to sooth the round anatomy of the skin tissue and to provide comfort to the user.
Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
