Smoking pipe with sharpened shaft

The present invention is a pipe used for smoking with a hollow, vented shaft that can puncture another object, the object then, becomes the body of the pipe. The core components of the invention are the bowl and a vented hollow shaft with a tip suitable for puncturing or penetrating another object, which, generally speaking, is configured as follows: The bowl with a hole in the bottom to allow smoke to pass through is attached to the shaft. The pointed end of the shaft is sharp enough to easily penetrate an object such as a plastic bottle. Vents in the shaft allow the smoke to pass from the bowl through the shaft and into the object. Ribs on the outside of the shaft act as a bung to seal the hole made by the shaft. The invention can be used to make a larger pipe out of common everyday items such as water, cola and creamer bottles. The user will light a combustible material within the bowl and draw the smoke through the mouthpiece of the object. When the user is finished smoking, the user removes the shaft from the object and can either keep or dispose of the punctured object.

Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a smoking pipe with a sharpened shaft. The shaft is used to puncture an object such as a water bottle and use that object as the body of the pipe. After smoking, the user can then dispose of the object and keep the pipe for future use.

Background

Currently there are a number of different types of smoking pipes on the market. Some of these solutions are portable but these solutions fail to meet the needs of the industry because the larger pipes that cool the smoke are not convenient to carry or are fragile. Other solutions attempt to cool smoke in miniature form but these solutions are similarly unable to meet the needs of the industry because they cannot be attached to larger pipes that cool the smoke. Once a pipe is made it cannot be altered to the users mood with different artwork or customizations. It would be desirable to have a small pipe that can be easily used to create a large pipe out of common objects, then after use, dispose of the object while retaining the small pipe for recurring use. Furthermore, it would also be desirable to have a durable shaft that maintains its ability to puncture another object after repeated use. Therefore, there currently exists a need in the industry for a small pipe with a durable shaft that can be used to create a large pipe with a disposable body.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is a smoking pipe which is made up of the following components: A bowl with a hole in the bottom and a hollow, ribbed shaft with a point suitable for puncturing an object. These components are all one piece where on one end the bowl is directly part of the shaft. The hollow of the shaft is through both ends and the tip of the shaft is sharp, suitable for puncturing an object.

The present invention may also have one or more of the following: 1. The shaft and the bowl may be threaded so that the bowl can be removed from the shaft. 2. The outside of the shaft may contain ribs in any geometric shape that acts as a bung. 3. The vent(s) of the shaft may be on the side or at the end. 4. The shaft may be of any length and bent at any angle(s). 5. Either the inside of the bowl or the outside may be threaded or both. 6. The pipe may have a sheath to protect the tip. 7. Artwork may be threaded onto the bowl. 8. Other functional pieces such as a dab bowl may be threaded onto the bowl or shaft. 9. Shafts may be connected together to create a connector between two objects. 10. Shaft may be connected to a mouthpiece to be used as an opening if none exists in the object. 11. The bowl may have a lid. 12. The shaft may be connected to a hose. 13. The shaft may be made of multiple pieces. 14. The tip of the shaft may be blunt or sharp. 15. The shaft may have a replaceable or permanent blade. 16. The shaft may be in any shape suitable for puncturing an object. 17. The shaft may or may not be hollow all the way through both ends.

The present invention is unique when compared with other known devices and solutions because the present invention provides the user with the ability to carry a small pipe and transform it into a larger pipe using common objects, then dispose of the object after use. It also gives the user the option to change the artwork according to the user's mood. The pipe is further superior in that the functionality can be changed such as using a dab bowl instead of the standard bowl.

The present invention is unique in that it is structurally different from other known devices or solutions. More specifically, the present invention is unique due to the presence of a sharpened shaft or spike that can penetrate an otherwise unusable object and turn that object into the body of the pipe. Further, the bowl of the pipe, threaded on the outside, can accept any fitted artwork or functional piece. Among other things, it is an object of the present invention to provide a smoking pipe with a sharpened shaft that does not suffer from any of the problems or deficiencies associated with prior solutions.

It is still further an object of the present invention to create a device that is produced economically, manufactured easily and is very durable.

The present invention now will be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, which are intended to be read in conjunction with both this summary, the detailed description and any preferred and/or particular embodiments specifically discussed or otherwise disclosed. This invention may, however, be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided by way of illustration only and so that this disclosure will be thorough, complete and will fully convey the full scope of the invention to those skilled in the art.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is directed to a smoking pipe with a sharpened shaft.

In its most complete version, the present invention is made up of the following components: A bowl with a threaded hole in the bottom is attached to a threaded hollow shaft. The bowl is also threaded on the outside where a threaded piece of artwork with an integrated lid is threaded onto the bowl. The integrated lid has a hole so that the bowl can be used while the lid is closed. The interior of the bowl has a slight ridge which helps lock a replaceable screen in place. Below the threaded part of the shaft connected to the bowl are cone-shaped ribs. The shaft is bent at an angle and there are several vents in the side of the shaft nearest the tip. The tip is cut off at an angle and beveled to sharp edges ending in a point. It should further be noted that: The preferred material is stainless steel for its affordability and ability to maintain an edge.

While the present invention has been described above in terms of specific embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited to these disclosed embodiments. Many modifications and other embodiments of the invention will come to mind of those skilled in the art to which this invention pertains, and which are intended to be and are covered by both this disclosure and the appended claims. It is indeed intended that the scope of the invention should be determined by proper interpretation and construction of the appended claims and their legal equivalents, as understood by those of skill in the art relying upon the disclosure in this specification and the attached drawings.
