A jewelry piece having two pieces connected to each other with a spring bar mechanism which allow the pieces to fold away or drop from the other piece further allowing the pieces to swivel and allow for lateral movement.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a jewelry piece having moving parts wherein different parts of a piece of jewelry can move in different directions.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

U.S. Pat. No. 4,542,631 relates to jewelry, pill or jewelry boxes and lockets, that include a pair of opposed lobes which when mated together form a heart, and upon rotation of one lobe 180 degrees forms an ellipse. A pivoting means maintains the lobes tightly compressed while permitting rotation. Compartments and chambers can be provided.

U.S. Pat. No. 4,891,956 relates to a jewelry charm having an outer portion having a rolled-over lip, a spring member resiliently mating with the rolled-over lip and an insert to fit within the outer portion, where the insert is placed within the outer portion and the spring is mated with the rolled-over lip to retain the insert in the outer portion.

U.S. Pat. No. 5,121,614 relates to jewelry having a rotatable four-sided decoration bar whose rotation and orientation are regulated by biasing springs, including a frame and at least one elongated turning bar having decoration sides and at least one group of four detents located adjacent at least one turning bar corresponding to decoration side where at least one turning bar is pivotally mounted on the frame. Jewelry includes arrangement for regulating the rotation of the one turning bar which includes at least one biasing spring and at least one regulating object engagable to one of detents on one turning bar. Rotation of turning bar is halted when regulating object is engaged with detent.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,032,485 relates to jewelry containing a center opening having a main section which takes the shape of the piece. The section has a channel extending around its side walls into which arms from covers are inserted. Covers overlay main section and slidably move over main section by means of arms in the channels. Two covers slidably move in opposite directions. The covers when placed together are locked into position by a spring detent. The covers conceal and protect the gem.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,260,381 relates to jewelry having a first and second part and hinge which connects the two parts so that the parts are movable between a closed and open position. The jewelry has a spring which forces the two parts into the closed position.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,427,487 relates to a jewelry device having interchangeable ornaments. Main base has a recess to receive a removable ornament, and has a flange on interior of top side of ornament. Flange retains ornament. Securing door is attached to bottom side of base. Leaf spring attached to top side of securing door. Spring is biased against removable ornament in recess when securing door is closed.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,484,537 relates to a replaceable gem stone setting for jewelry where a casing receives a gem stone, and bottom cover is hinged to casing to be moved to closed position against casing open bottom, bottom cover having portions resiliently deflected by gem stone as cover closed.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,711,915 relates to a device for mounting gem stones on a jewelry piece. Mounting device has mounting stud for supporting gem stone. Mounting base connected to mounting stud and disposed inside cavity. Mounting base held in abutting relationship with toggling mechanism that permits rotation of mounting base within cavity. Mounting stud is adjustable to orient a gemstone in plurality of orientations relative to jewelry piece. Gem mount may permit toggling of gemstone between upward facing orientation and forward facing orientation, downward facing orientation or horizontal rotation of gemstone.

U.S. Pat. No. 6,742,359 relates to a jewelry piece having a setting including a pivoted spring having first and second elongated bendable segments extending over article receiving opening in jewelry piece, a seat urged against undersurface of article by bending deflection of spring element when second segment is positioned beneath catch to urge article against a stop.

U.S. Pat. No. 7,266,977 relates to a ring that has at least two mutually rotatable parts, with a detent mechanism for one of the two parts and securing means. Detent mechanism is provided in the intersecting plane of the rotatable parts and rotatable parts are secured by at least one spring element.

U.S. Pat. No. 8,162,276 relates to a combination dip and hook for suspending articles which is rotatably movable about a rotary joint between a first position in which two opposing joined portions of the clip are oriented together to form a closed shape and a second position in which the two portions are rotated into an S-shaped hook. The joint between the two portions can define a spring loaded rotating pivot assembly with at least two indexing positions. The rotary joint can be constructed with a pair of confronting male and female wedge and detent inserts that are biased toward each other by an embedded spring assembly.

U.S. Pat. No. 9,326,571 relates to jewelry having decorative elements that are mobile and can be changed. Decorative elements mounted and unmounted in main frame through lock system. Main frame forms track for elements to oscillate freely. Secondary frame provides firmness to jewelry. Flip-over safety lock is provided to secure decorative elements.

U.S. Pat. No. 9,386,827 relates to a movable jewelry device that includes an article of jewelry having multiple connectable links containing ornamental surfaces and gear teeth. A motion apparatus contains gear teeth that engage the gear teeth on the jewelry to move the article of jewelry.

U.S. Pat. No. 9,572,408 relates to jewelry comprising a fastener, an outer part and an inner part rotatable therein. The fastener can move in a reciprocating manner relative to the outer part, and an entrainment means is provided between the fastener and the inner part to rotate the inner part in one direction when certain movements are made.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a spring bar mechanism for a piece of jewelry.

It is an object of the present invention for the spring bar mechanism to allow certain sections of a jewelry piece to fold away or drop from the piece of jewelry.

The present invention relates to a spring bar mechanism comprising a T-shaped bar on one side and a tubular hinge on the other side. This is coupled with a flat main spring loaded encasement for the T-bar that can fold down and turn around to face forward.

It is an object of the present invention for the piece of jewelry to be a necklace, bracelet or earring.

It is an object of the present invention for a button earring to become a drop earring while very part of the jewel stays intact, no pieces are detachable.

It is an object of the present invention for a solitaire necklace to become a long silhouette.

It is an object of the present invention for there to be only one model SKU number for inventory purposes.

It is an object of the present invention for the jewelry piece to comprise a hinge and spring bar that allow for fold over and a swivel action that clicks into place at the face and back while the piece is being maneuvered by hand to the desired style of closed or opened long.

It is an object of the present invention for each hinge spring bar to operate one set of Halo/Hinge and swivel/fold over. It is an object of the present invention for the inside section of a piece of jewelry to release and fold backward to come to a full level 180 degree.

It is an object of the present invention when both pieces are facing in different directions, the spring-loaded swivel allows for another 180 degree turn, this time to face forward the piece that was being moved from the center.

It is an object of the present invention that the center of the jewelry piece becomes the dropping piece that provides an encasement that is installed with the flat spring wire. It is an object of the present invention for the spring wire to loop around the inside circumference like that of a mainspring of a watch. It does not matter what shape or design the center piece is, as when the T bar side of the hinge is placed in its notch it presses against the spring wire and by force keeps the whole hinge bar in place, more-so as it grooved to be level and “click” into place at the face and back.

It is an object of the present invention for a plate to be welded over the back to seal and close.

It is an object of the present invention for the mainspring to be fitted into the center section and looped around once.

It is an object of the present invention for the outside section to be connected to the T bar hammer on the tubing side that creates a hinge. This allows for lateral movement.

It is an object of the present invention for the T bar hammer that is assembled onto the outside section and then placed into the inside section in a slot for the T bar where the hammer T bar is pressed up against the main spring. It is an object of the present invention for the mainspring to push the T bar into a slot so it snaps it in place forward or back to a desired position. It is an object of the present invention for the T bar to allow for turning in both directions.

It is an object of the present invention for the T bar to be rotated 360 degrees snapping into placed either facing up or down. It is an object of the present invention to that after the T bar snaps into place, the outside section can swivel on the hinge and either show it open or closed to show the desired finished jewelry piece.

A jewelry piece comprising a first piece; a second piece. The first piece and second piece held together by a spring bar mechanism that allows the first piece and second piece to move in vertical and lateral directions.

Claims

1. A jewelry piece comprising:

a center piece;
an outside piece;
a spring bar mechanism;
said spring mechanism providing mechanism for said center piece to fold away or drop from said outside piece of said jewelry piece.

2. The jewelry piece of claim 1 wherein said spring mechanism comprises a T-shaped bar on one side and a tubular hinge on other side; coupled with a flat main spring loaded encasement for said T-bar that folds down and turn around to face forward.

3. The jewelry piece of claim 1 wherein said jewelry piece comprises a necklace, bracelet or earring.

4. The jewelry piece of claim 1 wherein no pieces of said jewelry piece are detachable.

5. The Jewelry piece of claim 2 that provides a swivel action that clicks into place at face and back while said jewelry piece is maneuvered by hand to closed, partially open or open position.

6. The Jewelry piece of claim 1 wherein said center section of said jewelry piece releases and fold backward to come to a full level 180 degree.

7. The Jewelry piece of claim 1 wherein when said center piece and said outside piece are both facing in different directions, a spring-loaded swivel allows for a 180 degree turn.

8. The jewelry piece of claim 1 wherein said center piece becomes dropping piece that provides an encasement that is installed with flat spring wire.

9. The jewelry piece of claim 8 wherein said spring wire spring wire loops around inside circumference like a mainspring of a watch.

10. The jewelry piece of claim 1 wherein shape or design of center piece has no effect on movement of center piece.

11. The jewelry piece of claim 2 wherein when said T bar side of said hinge is placed in a notch it presses against said spring wire and by force keeps whole hinge bar in place, more-so as it grooved to be level and click into place at face and back.

12. The jewelry piece of claim 1 wherein a plate is welded over back of center piece to seal and close.

13. The jewelry piece of claim 1 wherein a mainspring is fitted into center section and looped around once.

14. The jewelry piece of claim 2 wherein said outside section is connected to said T bar on tubing side that creates a hinge, allowing for lateral movement.

15. The jewelry piece of claim 2 wherein said T bar is assembled onto said outside piece and then placed into said center piece in a slot for said T bar where T bar is pressed up against said main spring.

16. The jewelry piece of claim 15 wherein said mainspring pushes said T bar into a slot so it snaps said T bar in place forward or back to a desired position.

17. The jewelry piece of claim 2 wherein said T bar allows for turning in both directions.

18. The jewelry piece of claim 2 wherein said T bar is rotated 360 degrees snapping into placed either facing up or down.

19. The jewelry piece of claim 18 wherein after said T bar snaps into place, said outside section swivels on said hinge and jewelry piece is either open or closed.

20. A jewelry piece comprising:

a center piece;
an outside piece;
said center piece comprising a main spring, T Bar hammer/hinge and a plate/cap.

21. A jewelry piece comprising a first piece; a second piece; said first piece and said second piece held together by a spring bar mechanism that allows the first piece and second piece to move in vertical and lateral directions.
