Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder and Gift Envelope Card Holder
A way in which to assist with preparing a gift so that it looks more organized and attractive by utilizing and attaching both items to the gift bag. Attaching the tissue paper to the bag rather than placing it directly into the bag avoids the paper from falling too far down into the bag or hanging or falling over the outside of the bag thereby appearing limp. The holder for the envelope reminds the giver not to forget to include the card as well as avoids the envelope from falling down inside the bag between the loose tissue paper and gift(s) inside the bag and having the receiver of the gift take time to search for the envelope containing the card.
This non-provisional application is a continuation of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62/392,916, filed Jun. 15, 2016, entitled “Gift Mates”.

The substrate has a through hole with a slot connecting the through hole to an edge of respective front and rear portions of the substrate. Adhesive is disposed on at least a portion of an inward facing surface of both said front and rear portions. A greeting card may be secured between adhesive on the front and rear portions. The secured card may be secured to an elongated handle of a gift bag. The card attachment device has a perforation allowing portions to be separated from one another and used in combination to secure a greeting card to a package without elongated handles.
U.S. Pat. No. 6,345,912 B1 to Ho for BAG WITH CARD RETAINER is a bag that includes an upright bag body having a rectangular mouth portion confined by opposite longer walls and opposite shorter walls that interconnect the longer walls. At least one of the longer walls is formed with a set of first strap holes there through. A carrying strap has opposite sections that extend respectively through the first strap holes and that are formed with a respective knotted end for connecting the carrying strap to the bag body. A card retainer includes an upright plate with an upper part that is formed with a set of second strap holes to permit extension of the opposite sections of the carrying strap there through, and a folded lower part that confines an upwardly opening card receiving space adapted for holding a portion of a greeting card therein
U.S. Pat. No. US20110058756A1 to Underhill for a DECORATIVE GIFT BAG INSERT provides a method of enhancing the appearance and physical stability of a gift bag, including a pair of elongated flat members, an elongated support member connected between the respective elongated flat members, and a decoration having a first compressed storage configuration and a second decompressed actuated configuration and connected to the elongated support member. The pair of elongated flat members may be oriented generally perpendicular to the elongated support member and generally parallel to each other to define a bag-insertion configuration and inserted into a bag having a generally rectangular bottom panel and oppositely disposed parallel sides extending therefrom such that each respective flat member is positioned adjacent a respective oppositely disposed side panel. The decoration may be opened into the decompressed actuated configuration.
U.S. Pat. D305728 S to Tufariello for a COMBINED GREETING CARD AND GIFT BAG which is an ornamental design for a combined greeting card and gift bag.
U.S. Pat. No. 5,441,348A to Valentino for an INSERT FOR DECORATIVE GIFT BAG AND METHOD OF USING is a decorative bag and method of using includes an insert to be positioned within the bottom portion of a decorative bag having an open top. The insert includes a plurality of lengths of paper fan-folded thereon and each length of paper has a length enabling it to be extended outwardly from the open top of the bag. At least the upper portion of each length of paper is cut longitudinally to enable the length to be extended outwardly from the bag and individually separated so that they may be able to form a decorative surface for an item placed within the bag.
U.S. Pat. No. 9,010,698 B2 to Bowman for GIFT BAG HOLDER which provides a device for holding an article, wherein the device includes a front panel including a first aperture positioned above a second aperture. The first aperture is dimensioned to receive a display hook; and, the second aperture is dimensioned to receive and retain the article. A rear panel is hingedly connected to the front panel, wherein the rear panel includes a third aperture positioned above at least one fourth aperture. The third aperture is dimensioned to receive the display hook; and, the fourth aperture is dimensioned to receive and retain a second article. The device further includes a card removably connected to the rear panel via perforations.
Currently, gift bags do not have a holder for the tissue paper nor do gift bags make provision to attach the envelope containing the card on the exterior front, back or either sides of the gift bag; which aids the receiver in quickly locating the card and recognizing the giver.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF INVENTIONThe Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder and Gift Envelope Card Holder is a two-part invention that consists of a gift tissue paper holder that is attached to the interior of the gift bag and an envelope card holder that is attached to the exterior of the gift bag. Both items contain sticky adhesive backs so as to enable both holders to be attached firmly and securely. In addition, both items can also be manufactured to be pre-attached to the gift bag.
The Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder and Envelope Card Holder are designed to enhance the overall appearance of a gift
The Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder is designed to be placed in the interior of the gift bag
Once the tissue paper is placed into the holder behind the front flap, the adhesive strip 3 on the back of the holder
Once the tissue paper is placed into the “V-shaped” grooves and base slits, the adhesive strip 7 found on the back of the holder
Both of the holders can be manufactured so that they are pre-attached to the gift bag. If using a pre-attached holder, the only process needed is to place the tissue paper either behind the front flap of the holder 2 or in front of the top of the V-shaped slit and behind the base slit 3. The Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder can be placed at various positions inside of the bag depending on the depth of the bag and how much of the tissue you want to stick out of the top of the bag.
The Gift Bag Tissue Paper Holder is constructed of light-weight cardboard to allow for stiffness strong enough to hold up the tissue paper but not too thick so as not to pull the sides of the gift bag inward or downward. It can be manufactured in various lengths to accommodate the width and size of various bags because gift bags are manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes as follows:
It is designed to be placed on either side of the bag (front, back, left, or right side) and is used as a means of placing the envelope containing the card. The envelope holder is designed to allow for extra space to accommodate any additional items other than the card such as numerous cash bills, gift card, etc.
By placing the holder on the outside of the bag 13, it creates a more unified look, ease of quickly locating the envelope, and assists with alleviating the problem of forgetting to include the card. Utilizing the card holder is not only a reminder to place the card with the gift but it also makes it easy for the recipient to find the card and not have to search inside the bag looking for it
The Gift Envelope Card Holder can be constructed from a variety of material including, but not limited to, clear, see-thru plastic; light-weight cardboard, including various designs and colors to match and blend in with the pattern(s) and color(s) of the outside of the gift bag further giving the gift a unique and tailored look. The Envelope Card Holder will come in various sizes to accommodate the variety of envelope sizes as follows:
