Campfire Stand and Fuel Kit

The current invention is a kit including a structure and fuel. The structure has a circular base, a hollow central tube, handle, and a wick that runs from down the central cube to a fire starter composite at the center of the base. The fuel consists of a fire starter tinder composite, small, medium, and large fuels. All fuels are responsibly harvested and safe for transport.

Description
BACKGROUND 1. Field of the Invention

This invention relates to fire starting tools and particularly ones assisting in improved fuel structure.

2. Description of Prior Art

Humans have a long history of using fire for survival and for recreation. As people have become more urbanized, the skills of finding and building a fuel base and starting a fire have been lost.

There are many products on the market to assist in starting a fire, ranging from waterproof lighters and lighter fluids to artificial logs that ignite easily and burn slowly. Many of these products can be combined and used with firewood, that has been collected or purchased, to create a fire. These fires will be of various sizes, heights, and burn lengths, based on skill levels and desired outcomes.

There is still room for improvement in the art.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The current invention are a fire tool and fuel kit that provide all the necessary fuel and structure for a user to build and start a fire. All components are biodegradable and safe to burn.

The fire tool has a wide circular base with a hollow upright tube in the center. The tube has holes and notches at various heights. At the top of the central tube is a handle. A wick runs from the top of the tube, down the center of the tube, and leads to the fire starter fuel.

The circular base can be of various diameters, providing for larger or smaller fire kits.

The tube can be of various diameters and heights, providing for larger or smaller fire kits.

The wick runs from near the handle, down the hollow tube, and ends at fire starter fuel to ignite the fire. The can be a single ignited tinder bundle at the base, or the wick can have multiple strands leading to multiple fire starter bundles.

The fire starter is a composite of highly ignitable small fuels. The composition may be changed based on location, designed goal, and availability. The fire starter will be based on a standard composition of sawdust, wax, and pine resin. Sawdust and pine resin are both extremely flammable. The wax and pine resins provide waterproofing and holds the bundle together.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

There are a number of significant design features and improvements incorporated within the invention.

The current invention is a fire tool 1 and fuel kit, as shown in FIGS. 1 through 4, that provide all the necessary fuel and structure for a user to build and start a fire.

The fire tool has a wide circular base 20 with a hollow upright tube 10 in the center. The tube 10 has holes 40 and notches 30 at various heights. At the top of the central tube is a handle 70. Any standard handle design can be used but in the preferred embodiment it would be burnable twine in a loop.

A wick runs, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 5 from the top of the tube 10, down the center of the tube 10, and leads to the fire starter fuel 80. All components are biodegradable and safe to burn.

The circular base 20 is flat and can be of various diameters, providing for larger or smaller fire kits 1.

The tube 10 can be of various diameters and heights, providing for larger or smaller fire kits 1. The hollow tube 10 has holes 40 at various heights, increasing the provision of the oxygen necessary for combustion throughout the fire. The hollow tube 10 has notches 30 at various heights, providing locations to securely lean logs as shown in FIGS. 2 through 4, as well as being able to put bundles of various small fuels.

The wick 70 runs from near the handle, down the hollow tube, and ends at “fire starter” fuel to ignite the fire. The can be a single ignited tinder bundle at the base, or the wick can have multiple strands leading to multiple fire starter bundles.

The fire starter 80 is a composite of highly ignitable small fuels. The composition may be changed based on location, designed goal, and availability. The fire starter 80 will be based on a standard composition of sawdust, wax, and pine resin. Sawdust and pine resin are both extremely flammable. The wax and pine resins provide waterproofing and holds the bundle together.

Larger fuels would include various size pieces of wood 60. The largest fuels would form the outside layer of a teepee shade. Overall, the smallest fuels will be primarily near the center of the base 20, by the fire starter 80. Moving away from the base center, fuels will increase in size, until reaching the outer logs.

The fire tool 1 can be used to store and transport chopped wood for a campfire without the need of extra packaging or mess. The wood can sit on the platform and lean against the tube. The platform and the wood can be carried using the handle of the fire tool.

In the preferred embodiment, the fire tool base 20 and tube 10 are made of 100% natural materials made from recycled paperboard.

Advantages

The innovative fire tool allows anyone to have a properly build and easily lit fire. The provided fuel would be prepared to have a fire burning for a set period of time. Unlike many accelerant fluids, this kit is completely safe to burn. Unique to this kit is the fire tool that provides an optimal fuel structure. No other product provides for a pre-built fire structure. No other product provides for a fire starter tinder inside the base of the fuel, with an external wick. No other product provides for an internal tube to provide oxygen while starting the fire.

Although the present invention has been described in considerable detail with reference to certain preferred versions thereof, other versions are possible such as different tension means, bobber shapes and sizes and different colored lights. Therefore, the point and scope of the appended claims should not be limited to the description of the preferred versions contained herein.

As to a further discussion of the manner of usage and operation of the present invention, the same should be apparent from the above description. Accordingly, no further discussion relating to the manner of usage and operation will be provided. With respect to the above description, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of the invention, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by the present invention.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the invention. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the invention to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.

1. A fire tool device to comprising:

A base with an upright tube connected to the center of it with a fire starter in the tube.

2. A device according to claim 1 comprising:

Having a handle.

3. A device according to claim 2 comprising:

Having the handle connect to the top of the tube.

4. A device according to claim 1 comprising:

Having a wick that is connected to the fire starter extends out of the tube.

5. A device according to claim 1 comprising:

Having a plurality of holes in the tube.

6. A device according to claim 1 comprising:

Having a plurality of notches in the tube.

7. A device according to claim 1 comprising:

Having the fire starter composed of a combination of one or more of sawdust, wax, and pine resin.

8. A device according to claim 1 comprising:

Having the base and tube made of biodegradable material.

Having the base and tube made of recycled material.

Having wood placed on the base.

Having the fire starter composed of a combination of one or more of sawdust, wax, and pine resin.

Having the base and tube made of biodegradable material.

Having the base and tube made of recycled material.

17. A device according to claim 13 comprising:

Having wood placed on the base and leaning against the tube.
