Disposable Toilet Seat Cover

There is disclosed a toilet seat transparent elastic cover for preventing a user from a direct contact with a toilet seat. The cover includes mark lines to be aligned ensuring a proper placement of the cover. The cover may include an aperture with two lateral edges and a flap located in front of the aperture. The flap is formed by two lateral perforated lines connecting it to corresponding parts of the cover before the user starts using the cover. The perforated lines are extensions of the two lateral edges, such that when the user places the cover on the toilet seat, tears the perforated lines, and moves the flap forward at a desirable length and downward/upward, the aperture is effectively extended, providing an additional convenience to the user. Optionally extension of the aperture by moving the flap is suggested when seat cover is being placed on a longer size of toilet. Placement of seat cover can be done in a timely manner so the user in a time of need will not spend his/her energy on first start to build covers with complicated setups procedure. An objective of the cover is to improve its adjustment to the user's body dimensions correspondingly to typical sizes of the seat.

CLAIM OF PRIORITY

This application is a continuation in part and claims the benefit and priority of application Ser. No. 14/323,355 filed on Jul. 3, 2014. The above application is incorporated herein by this reference in its entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to toilet seat covers, and more particularly to disposable sanitary toilet seat covers.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Public restrooms and toilets are not always maintained in satisfactory sanitary conditions. The toilet seats may contain disease-causing bacteria and viruses. That's why it's important to provide sanitary measures for protecting people who use such facilities.

Some restrooms are supplied with toilet seat covers that may be placed on the toilet seat. Examples of several patented toilet seat covers exist.

For example one teaches: “The present invention discloses a sanitary paper that is designed to be appropriate for dual functions: (1) as a tissue paper for wiping and cleaning by a user, and (2) as a toilet seat-cover. The sanitary paper is a folded continuous sanitary paper strip comprising detachable sections of tissue paper, where some sections are toilet seat-covers which are defined by appropriate transverse seat-cover perforation lines. Various embodiments are described regarding the folding of the sanitary paper strip. A precut bowl flap, in each of the detachable seat-covers, is provided as well. The sanitary paper strip can be made of a single or multi-ply paper. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the sanitary paper is made of a duplex paper, where each surface best serves the intended function of that surface. Additionally, the sanitary paper strip can be impregnated with various chemicals.”

Another teaches: “A sanitary toilet seat cover is formed of a nonporous, nondisintegratable material, such as plastic sheet material, for protecting a user from disease-causing micro-organisms. The toilet seat cover of the present invention has integrally formed therewith a protective flap portion which ensures against contact by any part of the anatomy of the user with the inside of the front of either the commode or the toilet seat itself. In accordance with a manufacturing method aspect of the invention, a plurality of toilet seat covers is produced from a continuous sleeve of the nonporous material. After perforation lines are made in the sleeve to facilitate separation of the individual toilet seat covers, as well as removing a blank central portion and producing the protective flap, the continuous sleeve may be folded so that, after rolling, it can be accommodated on the axle of a dispenser having the dimensions of conventional bathroom tissue.”

Though the related art contains numerous designs of toilet seat covers, many of them possess certain disadvantages, such as being complicated to assemble, don't fit many sizes and shapes of toilets leaving exposed areas of the toilet rings, require tools, require adhesive tapes being use between seat covers and toilet rings/bowls and exposing people hands being subject of unsanitary contacts with toilets rings/bowls, in manufacturing, having difficulties in mounting, having unsatisfactory convenience for the user, etc. The authors of the instant invention have identified area's in need of improvement and the present invention has incorporated improvements including:

  • 1) Easy setup
  • 2) Fast placement, using markings, rear, front
  • 3) No tools, tapes, required
  • 4) No direct attachment to bowl or ring which is less installation work and makes for less unsanitary contacts.
  • 5) Easy set-up, easy removal
  • 6) No assembly
  • 7) Adjustably extending aperature by flop pulling or pushing
  • 8) One sheet design
  • 9) coverage of more of the abeyant inside inner ring area therefore also less skin touching
  • 10) This invention maximized the Users convenience and comfort
  • 11) Fast timely placement of seat cover and providing user fast access to using toilet and not wasting time on needless assemblies, attachments by adhesive tapes etc.

In at least one embodiment the flop is used by user to extend aperture to adjust the length of the toilet seat cover gap opening to the toilet bowl by using user's hands, fingers, or fingertips, only without the use of added tool devices such as scissors and the said flap user tears and moves forward until it is at a desirable length and then downward, or user moves the flap to a desirable length and upward expanding the aperture which provides an additional convenience to the user. Neither of these adjustments are required to be used by user to operate the invention and thus the use of the said flap is optional.

For some toilets where seat cover fits without adjustment and seat cover drawing markings outline inner portion of toilet ring and will be placed in propercenter position of toilet ring and no portions of toilet ring will be expose for any contact with user skin located on top of it there is no need to modify or expend the gap or aperture or adjust flap.

The aperture in the toilet seat cover is designed to fit various sizes such as smaller and rounded sizes of toilets for hygienic purposes so that the cover minimizes contact between the toilet seat, ring, and human skin during users use of toilets in a moment of need and wherein the flap is an easy open flap providing and allowing the user to make aperture longer to fit other size toilets such as oval size and shape toilet and/or toilet ring with user adjusting opening as much for as long as needed and also provide the user with more piece of mind and convenience in use of toilet seat cover.

All toilets and toilet rings on top of it are very in style, shape and size. They come in rounded, oval and square shapes and styles, as well as very in sizes from one manufacturer to another. Our seat cover can accommodate all of them regardless of those qualities mentioned above. Drawn set of marks to be placed against inner portion of toilet ring that centers gap/aperture opening and extension of gap/aperture by using flap provided if needed and if needed by user for their comfort, giving this seat cover universal abilities. Seat cover drawing markings M1 with M2 outline smaller/rounded in size and shape of toilet rings. By placing it on top of toilet ring user insures that aperture that is narrow that toilet ring is centered and placed away from edges of toilet ring. It provides user with confidence that his or her skin would not touch toilet ring in any way. Seat cover drawing markings M1 with M3 outline larger/oval in size and shape of toilet rings. To expend gap/aperture to fit longer size ring, extension provided by flap (5) provided like gap/aperture extender. Flap located at the front of gap/aperture and can be broken by user when and if needed in their convenience. Opening of flap could be done by tearing off two lateral perforated lines in a length needed. Tearing of flap could be done by pulling or pushing of it up or down. If user feels comfortable with smaller gap/aperture they don't need use of flap at all. In seat cover (2) width of gap/aperture (4) and width of flap (5) are the same. When user extends flap (5) gap/aperture (4) doesn't lose it shape or appearance in any way, but becoming longer in size. Drawn marks cannot be exact curve as specific size and shape of inner portion of every toilet ring, but centered within that inner portion of toilet ring will insure a proper placement of seat cover for universal fit.
