A portable food container that includes: a lid; a plurality of closing tabs; a container where the lid is adapted to cover the container; and a plurality of food serving sections. The portable food container preferably includes four sides and the container includes four sides and the plurality of tabs includes at least one tab on each side. The portable food container may include at least three serving sections.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of Invention

The present invention relates to portable food container that provides unique materials for food consumption and storage.

Description of Related Art

Food containers are used in various forms and sizes to transport and consume various foods while on the go. Food containers are used by many workers who may bring their lunch to their workplace. Further food containers are also used to serve food to consumers in numerous types of casual and fast food restaurants. A typical food container is either made of plastic and/or paper and then food product is placed within the container, where the container normally includes an attached lid. The lid covers the container for transport purposes.

Further many food containers are compartmentalized and provide compartments for different food products that may make up a complete meal. Disclosure of exemplary food containers are disclosed in U.S. Patent Application Publication 2011/021097 and U.S. Patent Application Publication 211/0121002. These containers of the prior art provides sectional portions for food products and attached lids that contain the food product within the container.

One of the drawback of many of the containers of the prior art is the containers are usually made of Styrofoam material thus making them incompatible for microwave use or also limiting the life span of use of the container. As a result it would be advantageous to have a suitable container that's although it is lightweight it has suitable materials for microwave use so that a user may reheat food within the container.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a portable food container that includes: a lid; a plurality of closing tabs; a container where the lid is adapted to cover the container; and a plurality of food serving sections. The portable food container preferably includes four sides and the container includes four sides and the plurality of tabs includes at least one tab on each side. The portable food container may include at least three serving sections.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to a portable food container and includes a lid with a plurality of closing tabs that are adapted to place upon a food container. The closing tab seals the lid on top of the container where the container might include a number of food serving sections. Preferably the lid and container include four sides where tabs are placed on each side of the lid.

In reference to FIG. 1A, a Lid 20 in accordance with present invention is depicted. Lid 20 includes closing tabs 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 on each side of the lid 20. In the bottom it's showing that FIG. 1a of the Lid 20 is preferably a four-sided lid, where tabs are placed on each side. A single tab is placed on three sides of the lid 20 with two tabs placed on a single side of Lid 20. These tabs enable to placement of lid onto a food container 25 shown in FIG. 1B. The food container 25 preferably includes sections 27 that receive food product. The food Sections 27 shown in FIG. 1B may be in multiple divisions. Although the FIG. 1B shows three food-receiving sections. FIG. 1C shows the lid 20 on the top of the food container 25 sealing any food products within the food container 25.

Preferably the container 20 includes three serving sections therefore providing the optimum positioning of food product. The lid 20 is preferably made of a BPA-free plastic therefore making it a microwavable dishwasher safe container. Preferable materials used for the food container include glass in a lightweight thickness that provides a microwavable bowl container and that is also shatterproof. The food container according to present invention provides a more sturdy material makeup as opposed to the traditional styrofoam container.

The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above teaching. The exemplary embodiment was chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated.

Claims

1. A portable food container comprising:

a. a lid, where the lid is made of BPA-free plastic;
b. a plurality of closing tabs, extending from the perimeter of the lid and at least one tab on each side of the lid;
c. a container where the lid is adapted to cover the container, wherein the container is made of BPA-free plastic; and
d. a plurality of food serving sections.

2. The portable food container according to claim 1, lid includes four sides and the container includes four sides.

5. The portable food container according to claim 2, where a single closing tab is provided on three sides of the lid and two closing tabs are provided on one side of the lid.
