Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a device made to be used as a perineal cleaning tool when it is installed on the toilet seat and connected to the running water under the face basin. More specifically, the invention is a bidet, built upon a raised toilet seat. It has a water spray head that protrudes from the left or right side. This will allow personal cleaning of the perineal areas, independently or with very little assistance

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention (Independence Clean) was created purely out of necessity. Many years ago, while working as a young Home Health Aide to an very sweet, proud elderly gentleman, the need arose for me to clean him often, as he was incontinent of both urine and feces. It was my job and I was happy to do it, however, he was very ashamed at the fact that this young woman who made his meals, cleaned his house and did his laundry, also had to clean his behind.

He showed his displeasure, he voiced it and he made it known every chance he got, every way he could. Needless to say that he was not too happy about it, but we had no other choice, since he was unable to do it himself That did not stop him from complaining about it anyway.

He was a Korean War Veteran and he had suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the waist down. He was still a strong proud man and I cared for him very much. I tried to come up with different ways to help him take care of his needs. And that was the conception of Independence Clean.

Several ideas came to mind, however the present invention was the most practical. Since it covers just about all of the issues that I faced as a Patient Care Assistant and that the Clients face daily as consumers.

It is very difficult on the mind, to have another person, matters not family, friend or hired help assist in private personal care.

The present invention will allow the client the ability to independently take care of their perineal care privately and with dignity.

The present invention will fit the elongated or oval toilet bowl. There is a spray head that is built into the hollow area of the toilet seat, it protrudes from the side to produce a spray that will cleanse the bottom area, there is also a soap/solution cannister that will house whatever fluids you desire to use to assist in getting the cleanest freshest clean. The spray head simply retracts back into the seat when your wash is complete.

The present invention does not need an expensive plumber for setting up. The set up is basic, simple and quick. The present invention can be disassembled easily to thoroughly clean the unit and toilet area around where the present invention sits, and it can be taken with the user on vacation, if so inclined.

Because, the present invention is mounted upon the toilet bowl, the present invention is a GREAT GREEN PRODUCT, as after bowel or bladder activity, instead of using the traditional toilet paper, you simply wash and rinse and towel dry the area (eliminating the use of toilet paper). Taking advantage of a cleaner, fresher and greener less expensive clean.
