FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of firearm stands, and more particularly to devices, methods, and systems for organizing or storing a firearm with one or more firearm magazines.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Use of semi-automatic pistols for practice at a pistol range often requires organization of multiple pistols along with the relevant ammunition, typically loaded in pistol magazines that are specific to each make and model of pistol.

When practicing with multiple pistols of different makes and models, this can create an unwanted level of disorganization, when all the different pistols and pistol magazines are laid out on a table in front of the person practicing on the pistol range.

As such, considering the foregoing, it may be appreciated that there continues to be a need for novel and improved devices and methods for storing and organizing pistols and magazines at a firing range.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The foregoing needs are met, to a great extent, by the present invention, wherein in aspects of this invention, enhancements are provided to the existing model of storing and organizing pistols and magazines.

In an aspect, a pistol table stand system, can include:

    • a) at least one pistol, including a hollow pistol grip, which includes a magazine cavity;
    • b) at least one pistol magazine, comprising an inner portion;
    • c) a pistol table stand, including:
      • a bottom plate;
      • at least one magazine holder,
        • further comprising a cavity, which can be accessible via an upper opening,
          • wherein the at least one magazine holder can be connected to an upper side of the bottom plate, such that the at least one magazine holder protrudes upward from the bottom plate; and
      • at least one pistol holder, which can be an elongated member that is connected to the upper side of the bottom plate, such that the at least one pistol holder protrudes upward from the bottom plate;
        • wherein the cavity accepts the inner portion of the at least one pistol magazine, such that the at least one pistol magazine can be removably positioned in the at least one magazine holder;
      • wherein the at least one pistol holder accepts the hollow pistol grip of the at least one pistol, such that the hollow pistol grip can slide over the at least one pistol holder, such that the at least one pistol can be removably positioned on the at least one pistol holder;
      • whereby the pistol table stand can store and organize the at least one pistol and the at least one pistol magazine.

There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, certain embodiments of the invention in order that the detailed description thereof herein may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are, of course, additional embodiments of the invention that will be described below and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

In this respect, before explaining at least one embodiment of the invention in detail, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited in its application to the details of construction and to the arrangements of the components set forth in the following description or illustrated in the drawings. The invention is capable of embodiments in addition to those described and of being practiced and carried out in various ways. In addition, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology employed herein, as well as the abstract, are for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting.

As such, those skilled in the art will appreciate that the conception upon which this disclosure is based may readily be utilized as a basis for the designing of other structures, methods and systems for carrying out the several purposes of the present invention. It is important, therefore, that the claims be regarded as including such equivalent constructions insofar as they do not depart from the spirit and scope of the present invention.

The following embodiments are not intended to define limits as to the structure or method of the invention, but only to provide exemplary constructions. The embodiments are permissive rather than mandatory and illustrative rather than exhaustive.

In the following, we describe the structure of an embodiment of a pistol table stand system 100 with reference to FIGS. 1A and 1B, in such manner that like reference numerals refer to like components throughout; a convention that we shall employ for the remainder of this specification.

In an embodiment, as shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, a pistol table stand system 100 can include:

    • a) At least one pistol 150, including a hollow pistol grip 152, which includes a magazine cavity 154;
    • b) At least one pistol magazine 160, including an inner portion 162 and an outer end 164;
    • c) A pistol table stand 110, including:
      • i. a bottom plate 112;
      • ii. at least one magazine holder 114,
        • further including a cavity 116, which is accessible via an upper opening,
        • wherein the at least one magazine holder 114 can be connected to an upper side of the bottom plate 112, such that the at least one magazine holder 114 can protrude upward from the bottom plate 112; and
      • iii. at least one pistol holder 122, which can be configured as an elongated member that is connected to the upper side of the bottom plate 112, such that the at least one pistol holder 122 can protrude upward from the bottom plate 112;
      • wherein the cavity 116 can be configured to accept an inner portion 162 of the at least one pistol magazine 160, such that the at least one pistol magazine 160 can be removably positioned in the at least one magazine holder 114, as shown in FIG. 1B;
      • wherein the at least one pistol holder 122 can be configured to accept a hollow pistol grip 152 of the at least one pistol 150, such that the hollow pistol grip 152 slides over the at least one pistol holder 122, such that the at least one pistol 150 can be removably positioned on the at least one pistol holder 122, as shown in FIG. 1B;
      • whereby pistol table stand 110 can be configured to store and organize the at least one pistol 150 and the at least one pistol magazine 160.

In related embodiments, the pistol table stand 110 can thereby be used to hold and organize the at least one pistol 150 and the least one pistol magazine 160, for example for use:

    • a) at a firing range, such that the pistol table stand system 100 is positioned on a table 190 at the firing range;
    • b) for storage; or
    • c) for display purposes, for example in a retail or home environment.

In a related embodiment, the cavity 116 can be configured with a shape that matches an inner portion 162 of the at least one pistol magazine 160.

In a related embodiment, the at least one pistol holder 122 can be configured with a shape that is similar to an inner portion 162 of the at least one pistol magazine 160, such that the at least one pistol holder 122 slides into and is secured in the magazine cavity 154 of the hollow pistol grip 152, in a similar manner to when the at least one pistol magazine 124 slides into the magazine cavity 154 of the hollow pistol grip 152 during normal use of the pistol 150.

In a related embodiment, the pistol table stand 110 can be manufactured as one piece, for example by injection molding or by additive manufacturing, such as fused deposition modeling. Alternatively, the pistol table stand 110 can be assembled from separate pieces that are for example glued or fused together. The pistol table stand 110 can be made of a plastic material, or other suitable materials, such as metal, including rubber or plastic-coated metal.
