ORNAMENTAL BARBER HAIR CLIPPER BANK AND/OR BOX APPARATUS AND A METHOD OF MAKING AND USING SAME
The present invention relates generally to an ornamental barber hair clipper bank and/or box apparatus and a method of making and using same. More particularly, the invention encompasses an ornamental box or container for the storage of loose personal or barber or hair stylist items. The invention is shaped to look like a conventional electric hair clipper or a barber razer or a hair clipper, but does not function as such. The inventive ornamental container could have one or more internal dividers and/or compartments to help separate the stored contents. The invention could also be used as a decorative “piggy bank” for coins, currency, money, and the like, as a decorative “jewelry box” for jewelry, keys, watches, and the like, or a storage or novelty box for a barber or a hair stylist to store safety kits for razor cuts, scissors, combs, hairpins, cleaning brush, and the like.
The instant patent application claims priority to and the benefit of pending U.S. Provisional Patent Application Ser. No. 62/558,859, filed on Sep. 14, 2017, titled “Barber Bank And Barber Box Apparatus And A Method Of Making Same”, the entire disclosure of which provisional application is incorporated herein by reference.

The invention could also be as a decorative “jewelry box”, and could be used as a storage container for jewelry, keys, watches, and the like, or it could also be used as a storage or novelty box by a barber or a hair stylist to store, for example, safety kits for razor cuts, scissors, combs, hairpins, cleaning brush, and the like.
BACKGROUND INFORMATIONOrnamental box and containers have been used in the industry for a variety of reasons, and they come in many shapes, sizes, and other physical features and attributes.
U.S. Pat. No. 5,379,903 (William L. Smith), the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference, discloses an electric hair clipper utility board for holding a plurality of barber electric hair clippers in a ready-to-use position when they are not being used. The board further comprises a plate having a plurality of hooks for enabling the hanging of the hair clippers, and a like number of electrical cords extending outwardly through corresponding apertures formed through the plate. Electric cords are connected by a common cord which can be plugged into a preexisting power outlet. A shelf may be fixed to the plate beneath the hooks for holding barber implements such as comb and scissors. The apparatus may include one or more hair clippers already connected to the electrical cords.
U.S. Pat. No. 7,093,363 (Jack C. Kuo), the entire disclosure of which is incorporated herein by reference, discloses a foldable razor assembly which includes a detachable razor blade embedded at the front end of a handle, a box base with its lateral side pivotally coupled to the rear end of the handle, a cavity defined by the box base and a lid for containing the handle and razor blade, and a box body. Since the handle is pivotally coupled to an end of the box base, the handle can be rotated directly to put the handle and the razor blade into the cavity of the box base, and the lid is turned to cover the cavity when the razor is not in use, so as to reduce the overall storage volume of the razor for an easy storage or carry. The invention can prevent the box body from being separated from the razor or missing, and also can keep the razor from being contaminated by the environment. When it is necessary to use the razor, the lid is opened and the handle is turned to combine with the box body. The invention can be folded or unfolded for easy storage or use.
