DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Examples of the disclosure provide a customizable camp chair with blanket attachment that provides interchangeable options for attaching various blankets and accessories to a portable chair, or camp chair. In one example, the customizable camp chair has a fastening system for fastening a blanket or other accessory to the chair. The camp chair with blanket provides options for adding comfort, warmth, and weather shielding to a portable chair. In some examples, the blanket or accessory fastens along a side of the portable chair and may be unrolled or placed over a person seated in the chair. The removable blanket may be removed for cleaning and/or storage.

In other examples, the removable blanket attachment may provide an alternate or interchangeable appearance and/or functionality for the portable chair. The blanket or material attachment may serve to provide warmth, shield from moisture, act as a barrier to insects, provide sun protection, or any other various function.

Referring to FIG. 1, an exemplary diagram illustrates a portable chair with a fastening system for blanket or accessory attachment. Chair 100 includes a frame 102. The frame 102 may be an expandable and contractible structure, such as a collapsible frame for a portable chair. Frame 102 may include arm rests 104. Seat 106 is coupled to or affixed to frame 102 to provide a surface area with bottom and back support. In some examples, seat 106 may provide configurable bottom and/or back support, such as through customizable inflation of one or more regions of seat 106. Seat 106 may be comprised of any suitable fabric or material. Seat 106 includes fastening system 108.

Fastening system 108 may be any suitable fastener for temporarily or removably attaching a blanket or other material or accessory to chair 100. For example, without limitation, fastening system 108 may include a zipper, Velcro, snaps, buttons, or any other suitable fastener. A blanket or other material may have a corresponding fastening system implemented along an edge of the material. When the fastening system of the chair and the corresponding fastening system of the blanket or material are coupled together, the fastening systems hold the blanket or material in place relative to the chair until unfastened. In the example of a zipper, one half of the zipper mechanism may be disposed along a portion of the seat material of chair 100, while the other half of the zipper mechanism is disposed along an edge of a blanket or other material, in order to connect the blanket to the chair when the zipper is fastened.

FIG. 2 illustrates a portable chair with an accessory system. In some examples, the chair may include one or more accessory pouches 202, as illustrated in FIG. 2. A fastening system 204 may be disposed along a portion of the seat material to removably attach and detach accessories. The accessories may be stored in one or more of the pouches when not in use. The pouches may be permanently affixed to a portion of the seat material of the chair or may be removably attached to a portion of the chair frame or seat material of the chair. For example, a pouch may have a fastening system that removably attaches the pouch to the seat material. In another example, a pouch may have straps, loops, or rings that go around a portion of the chair frame.

In other examples, the seat material of the chair may have a slit or slot or other access point or opening to accommodate internal storage of and access to an accessory.

FIG. 3 illustrates a portable chair with a blanket 302. The fastening system may be disposed along a portion of the seat material to removably attach and detach accessories, such as a blanket. The blanket, when attached, may be held in place by the fastening system for use with the chair. When unfastened and detached, the blanket may be stored in a compartment associated with the chair or in a separate compartment.

The blanket or material configured for attachment may be comprised of any suitable material, having any number of colors, patterns, textures, and designs. The material may be, for example, without limitation, brushed fleece, muslin, cotton, polyester, microfiber, plastic, mesh, netting, or any other suitable type of material. For example, the material may be configured with an ultraviolet protection factor (UPF) to provide protection from sun exposure. In other examples, the material may be comprised of a waterproof, water repellent, or water-resistant material to shield a user from moisture.

The interchangeable nature of the detachable blanket and fastening system of the portable chair allows for one chair to be configured for different settings and environments by switching out the accessory attachment.

FIG. 4 illustrates an embedded storage space of a portable chair with a blanket. The portable chair 400 may have a seat material configured to provide an internal housing 402 for storage of an accessory, such as a blanket. In this example, the storage housing is implemented substantially near the fastening system. In some examples, the fastening system may be incorporated into the storage housing providing storage of the accessory without detaching the accessory from the fastening system.

As an example, a blanket may be detached from the fastening system and stowed in the internal housing of the seat material of the portable chair. In another example, the fastening system may be implemented within a portion of the internal housing, affixing the accessory to the chair at an internal location relative to the seat material of the chair while providing access to the accessory through the opening of the internal housing.

The internal housing may be formed by having a material of the seat cover configured to provide a sealable enclosure, with access into the interior portion of the enclosure when the sealable portion is open.

FIG. 5 is an exemplary diagram illustrating an external storage space for a portable chair with a blanket. The portable chair 500 may have a seat material that includes a fastening system for removably attaching an accessory, such as a blanket. An external pouch 502 may be attached to the portable chair for storage of the accessory when not in use.

Additional Examples

In some examples, when out camping or at a sporting event, a user has options to keep warm or dry in any type of weather or environment by using the portable chair with assessor attachments. In the example of a blanket, the storage compartment may be unzipped or opened, and the blanket unrolled or unfolded from storage for use. If the blanket requires cleaning, it can be detached from the fastening system. When not in use, the blanket can be rolled or folded back into the storage compartment.

In some examples, the storage compartment is embedded in the seat of the chair itself. In other examples, the storage compai iment may be separate from the seat material of the chair, such as a pouch on the side of the chair.

Alternatively, or in addition to the other examples described herein, examples include any combination of the following:

    • wherein the seat region comprises a back support region;
    • wherein the removable attachment is at least one cover;
    • wherein at least one of the at least one cover comprises material that is configured with an ultraviolet protection factor;
    • wherein at least one of the at least one cover comprises material that is configured to provide insect protection;
    • wherein at least one of the at least one cover comprises material that is configured to provide warmth;
    • at least one of the at least one cover comprises material that is configured to provide moisture protection;
    • wherein the removable attachment is washable;
    • wherein the removable attachment is a storage compaiiment configured to store accessories therein;
    • wherein the storage compartment comprises an accessory fastening system that couples with a removable accessory having a corresponding accessory fastening system.

In addition to interchangeable functionality provided by the removably attached blanket, such as due to the nature of the material used, customizable aesthetics may also be realized. Interchangeable blanket attachments may provide for different patterns or themes, such as corresponding to different seasons, holidays, teams, affiliations, and the like.
