Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention

The present application generally relates to water faucets and, more particularly, to a water faucet which has a simple structure and can be assembled easily.

Description of the Related Art

As ordinary household equipments in people's daily life, water faucets have been widely used in kitchens and bathrooms.

However, a conventional water faucet at least has the following disadvantages:

Firstly, during the assembly of the water faucet, most of the operation is carried out below a mounting platform. Due to the interference of the water tank, it is hard to couple the faucet body to the mounting seat.

Secondly, the faucet body contacts the mounting platform directly. The residual water on the mounting platform may pollute and corrode the faucet body.

In view of the foregoing, what is needed, therefore, is to provide a water faucet has a simple structure and can be assembled easily.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

One object of the present application is to overcome the disadvantages of the conventional water faucets and provide a water faucet which has a simple structure and can be assembled easily.

According to one embodiment of the present application, a water faucet includes:

a hollow mounting seat configured to be assembled to a mounting platform;

a faucet body set around and fixed to the mounting seat; and

a shower coupled to the faucet body;

wherein the faucet body defines a threaded hole, a screw is mounted in the threaded hole, and a distal end of the screw resists against an outside wall of the mounting seat.

According to one aspect of the present application, the screw mounted in the threaded hole is formed with a plastic plug covering the screw.

According to one aspect of the present application, a cushion is seated between the faucet body and an upper surface of the mounting platform.

According to one aspect of the present application, the mounting seat defines a first receiving chamber, a threaded rod supported by the mounting seat is received in the first receiving chamber, the threaded rod is formed with a fixing plate defining a threaded hole, and the fixing plate can move towards the mounting plate due to rotation of the threaded rod to tightly fix the mounting seat to the mounting platform.

According to one aspect of the present application, the threaded rod is formed with a plastic sleeve at a distal end thereof afar from the mounting platform.

According to one aspect of the present application, the mounting seat is provided with two first receiving chambers, and each first receiving chamber is provided with a threaded rod, a fixing plate and a plastic sleeve.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Example embodiments of the present invention will now be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which some, but not all embodiments of the invention are shown. Indeed, the invention may be embodied in many different forms and should not be construed as limited to the embodiments set forth herein; rather, these embodiments are provided so that this disclosure will satisfy applicable legal requirements. Like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout.

Referring to FIGS. 1 to 5, a water faucet according to one embodiment of the present application includes:

a hollow mounting seat 20 configured to be assembled to a mounting platform 60;

a faucet body 10 set around and fixed to the mounting seat 20; and

a shower 30 coupled to the faucet body 10;

wherein the faucet body 10 defines a threaded hole 100, a screw 502 is mounted in the threaded hole 100, and a distal end of the screw 502 resists against an outside wall of the mounting seat 20.

The mounting seat 20 has a hollow structure and defines an annular rib 214 on an outer surface thereof. When the mounting seat 20 is assembled to the mounting platform 60, the annular rib 214 is supported on the upper surface of the mounting platform.

Referring to FIG. 5, the mounting seat 20 defines a second receiving chamber 202 at a center thereof and two symmetrical first receiving chambers 200 at two sides of the second receiving chamber 202. The second receiving chamber 202 is separated from the first receiving chambers 200.

Two threaded rods 206 supported on the sidewall of the mounting seat 20 are received in corresponding first receiving chambers 200. The threaded rod 206 defines an external thread and includes a head defining an internal hexagonal hole at a top thereof. When the threaded rod 206 is received in the first receiving chamber 200, the head defining the internal hexagonal hole is supported on a mounting recess (not shown) defined in the mounting seat.

The fixing plate 208 is a plate has adequate strength. The fixing plate 208 defines a threaded hole, and the fixing plate 208 is assembled to the threaded rod 206 via threaded connection. When the threaded rod 206 is rotated, the fixing plate 208 moves along the threaded rod 206 until the upper surface of the fixing plate 208 resists against a lower surface of the mounting platform 60, so as to tightly secure the mounting seat 20 to the mounting platform 60.

Referring to FIG. 1, in order to prevent the threaded rod 206 from scrapping other parts of the water faucet, after the fixing plate 208 is coupled to the threaded rod 206, the distal end of the threaded rod 206 afar from the mounting platform 60 is provided with a plastic sleeve 210. The plastic sleeve 210 can also prevent the fixing plate 208 from disengaging from the threaded rod 206.

Referring to FIG. 5, a shower tube, a cold water inlet tube, a hot water inlet tube and a water outlet tube can be received in the second receiving chamber 202 according to actual requirement of the water faucet.

Referring to FIG. 2A to FIG. 2F, the water faucet of the present application can be assembled in the manner as detailed following.

Firstly, a hollow mounting seat 20 having an annular rib 214 is provided. The threaded rods 206 are positioned in corresponding first receiving chamber 200, with a head defining a hexagonal hole at a top of the threaded rod 206 supported on a sidewall of the mounting seat 20. A fixing plate 208 is coupled to the mounting rod 206 seated in the mounting seat 20. A plastic sleeve 210 is coupled to a distal end of the threaded rod 206.

Secondly, a mounting platform 60 defining a through hole is provided. A cushion 40 is set around the mounting seat 20. The mounting seat 20 with the cushion 40 coupled thereto is assembled to the through hole, with the cushion sandwiched between the annular rib 214 of the mounting seat and the upper surface of the mounting platform 60. The threaded rod 206 is rotated so that the fixing plate 208 moves along the threaded rod 206 until resists against a lower surface of the mounting platform 60, so as to securely couple the mounting seat 20 to the mounting platform 60.

Thirdly, the faucet body 10 is set around the mounting seat 20. The tubes of the water faucet extend through the second receiving chamber 202 of the mounting seat 20. The screw 502 is assembled to the threaded hole 100 defined in the faucet body 10 with the distal end of the screw 502 abuts against the outer sidewall of the mounting seat 20. The plastic plug 504 is inserted in the threaded hole 100 to cover the screw 502. In this case, the cushion 40 is also sandwiched between the faucet body 10 and the mounting platform 60.

Finally, the rest components of the water faucet are installed in a same manner as those of a conventional water faucet.

It should be noted that, other components of a water faucet, for instance a cold water inlet tube, a hot water inlet tube, a water mixing valve, and a handle have same structure and assembly manner as those in conventional water faucets, and will not be detailed further in the present application.

Compared with the conventional water faucets, the water faucet of the present application at least has the following advantages:

Firstly, the faucet body 10 can be fixed to the mounting seat 20 assembled to the mounting platform 60 via screws 502. The faucet body 10 can be assembled to the mounting seat 20 easily, which can simplify the structure of the water faucet.

Secondly, the screw 502 for fixing the faucet body 10 to the mounting seat 20 is covered by a plastic plug 504, which can prevent the screw 502 from being polluted by the water or air.

Finally, a cushion 40 is set between the mounting platform 60 and the faucet body 10, which can prevent the faucet body 10 from being polluted by the water on the mounting platform 60.
