BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

In the accompanying drawings forming a material part of this description, there is shown:

FIG. 1 illustrates a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure.

FIGS. 2A and 2B illustrate two alternative embodiments of the neckband portion of the present disclosure.

FIGS. 3 and 4 illustrate frontal views of wearing a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure.

FIG. 5 illustrates a back view of wearing a preferred embodiment of the present disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The present disclosure describes an infinity band which incorporates a headband and infinity scarf in one piece. That is, a headband and neck scarf form an endless loop.

FIG. 1 illustrates the endless loop combination headband and neck scarf 10 of the present disclosure. Scarf portion 12 is wider than headband portion 14. The headband/scarf combination is all in one; there is no need to worry about finding a matching headband or scarf. One does not have to worry about running out of the house with a scarf and no headband and vice-versa.

The combination headband/scarf is an infinity band which incorporates a headband and neck scarf in one. An adjustment mechanism allows one to adjust the size or tightness of the headband section. This will accommodate smaller or larger heads, more or less hair, or just for individual comfort.

For example, an adjustment mechanism 16a/16b can be located behind the head, near the neck, at the junction between the headband width and scarf width. For example, a button 16a can be used to adjust the size of the headband. The button 16a on one side of the headband can be pushed through a buttonhole 16b on the other side of the headband. If the headband portion is crocheted or knitted, a portion of the headband can be moved over the button 16a and the button can be pushed through that part of the headband portion. Alternatively, 16a and 16b can be two parts of a snap, a hook and loop fastener, a hook and eye, a zipper, a button and loop, a grommet, an eyelet, lacing, or a tie.

A decorative button 20 is shown on a section of the headband portion that will be near the front of the head when worn and may include knitted attachments or embellishments.

FIG. 2A is another illustration of the headband/scarf combination showing headband portion 14 and scarf portion 12. It can be seen that the scarf portion 12 has a first width and the headband portion 14 has a second width, narrower than the first width. The first and second widths are preferably constant, but could alternatively be variable over the length of the headband portion or of the neck scarf portion. The headband/scarf combination is easy to fold and store. The headband/scarf is designed to keep ears, head, and neck warm.

Preferably, the scarf portion is crocheted and the headband portion is knitted. Alternatively, both portions can be knitted or crocheted, or one or both portions can be made of fabric. The scarf/headband combination may be lined with fleece, for example. If one portion is made of fabric, the other portion can be knit or crocheted. Especially if the headband is made of a non-stretchable fabric, as shown in FIG. 2B, an optional elastic segment 15 may be added near the place of headband attachment to the scarf portion on both sides so that the headband tightness can be adjusted.

FIG. 3 shows a front view of the combination headband/scarf worn by a person. The headband portion 14 is on the person's head, covering her ears. The scarf portion 12 is around her neck. Decorative button 20 is shown on the headband portion. Also shown is an embellishment 22 attached to the headband portion by the button 20. Embellishments can be interchanged to match an outfit. The button in FIG. 1 is preferably round while the button in FIG. 4 is preferably heart-shaped, although the decorative button 20 can be of any desired shape. It can be a regular button or it could be made from yarn.

To put on the headband/neck scarf, a user first places the headband over her ears and head, then adjusts the tightness of the headband using the adjustment mechanism located near the back of the neck. Next, the user flips the neck scarf portion into a figure 8 configuration and places the neck scarf around the front of her neck. Depending on the length of the neck scarf portion and the user's desires, the user can flip the neck scarf into another figure 8 configuration and place the neck scarf around her neck again toward her back.

If the user decides to remove the headband from around her head, she can pull the headband down and attach it to the scarf portion using the decorative button 20, as shown in FIG. 4. The decorative button 20 could be attached to a knit or crocheted scarf portion by simply pushing the button through the knitting or crocheting.

FIG. 5 illustrates a rear view of a user wearing the combination headband/neck scarf of the present disclosure. Adjustment mechanism 16 can be seen near the user's neck. The headband can be adjusted to the size needed at 16a at one side of the headband and attached to adjustment mechanism 16b at the other side of the headband. In FIG. 5, the adjustment mechanism is a button 16, but alternatively, it could be a snap, a hook and loop fastener, a hook and eye, a zipper, a button and loop, a grommet, an eyelet, lacing, elastic segments, or a tie. The scarf and headband combination is worn in a figure 8 configuration as can be seen in FIG. 5.

Although the preferred embodiment of the present disclosure has been illustrated, and that form has been described in detail, it will be readily understood by those skilled in the art that various modifications may be made therein without departing from the spirit of the disclosure or from the scope of the appended claims.
