Bracelets printed with task reminders
The current invention is a flexible bracelet with the name of a chore on it. The bracelet serves as a reminder to complete a task. The user flips the bracelet after completing the task, so the text is covered. The bracelets are a great tool to help shift responsibility for tracking chores from a parent to a child, developing and strengthening positive personal habits. The bracelets will be available in a variety of colors, with icons and names of many regular tasks.

BACKGROUND 1. Field of the InventionThis invention relates to jewelry and particularly to jewelry that assists in relaying information.
2. Description of Prior ArtAny parent knows that children will regularly forget to do certain tasks, such as brushing hair or doing certain homework. Parents must teach children how to do many daily chores and find ways to make these chores into habits. Until the habits are established, parents must check that each task is completed. Parents, teachers, and other caregivers typically ask the child to confirm the task. To assist in developing these patterns, tools may be used, such as to-do lists and task charts.
There is still room for improvement in the art.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe current invention is a bracelet that remind the wearer of tasks that need to be completed.
The bracelets would be made of rubber or other durable, flexible material. The bands would be available in a variety of colors and with various tasks printed on them. A parent or child could select the appropriate task bracelets. As the user completes the task, they can flip the bracelet so the text is no longer visible.
Custom tasks could be produced for institutions, such as schools, which may have unique tasks or uses.
Without restricting the full scope of this invention, the preferred form of this invention is illustrated in the following drawings:
There are a number of significant design features and improvements incorporated within the invention.
As shown in
The bracelets 1 would be bands made of rubber or other durable, flexible material. The bands would be available in a variety of colors and with various tasks printed on them as shown in
The bracelets 1 have the task imprinted on them and can use symbols 30 for the task 20 or grouping of tasks as shown in
The bracelets 1 can be selected and given to the user or placed in a to-do list location such as a peg.
The user places the bracelet 1 on their wrist and flips it over once the task 20 is done so that the printed task 20 points inward were it cannot be seen.
OperationThe current invention is a simple and effective way to keep a user focused and productive. The specific assignments can be selected and place them on a To-Do location such as apeg that can be placed on their desk or mounted on a wall. At the proper time the user simply slides the bracelets on and get moving on their to-do list. After each task is completed, they get to satisfyingly flip the bracelet over. The varying bright colors make the bracelets 1 more appealing and a favorite new accessory. The current invention makes finishing assignments fun and rewarding.
It can be used with child or adults with disabilities or adults who like specific reminders. Custom tasks could be produced for institutions, such as schools, which may have unique tasks or uses.
AdvantagesThe innovative bracelet saves time, while helping children learn positive habits. Unlike chore charts, these bracelets have text reminders that assist the child in taking responsibility for daily tasks. Various colors of bracelets allow them to meet an individual's style choice, with an icon and the name of many typical tasks as options. The ease of selection of chores, and flipping the bracelet to the non-text side upon completion, allows a collection of bracelets to let children become responsible for daily tasks at a younger age.
