COSMETIC CONTAINER WITH PHOTOGRAPH SLEEVE
The present invention comprises a cosmetics container with a photograph sleeve incorporated into the container so that the photograph inserted into the photograph sleeve is be visible from the exterior of the cosmetics container.
The present Application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62/579,453 titled “Cosmetic Container with Photograph Sleeve,” filed Oct. 31, 2017, the contents of which are incorporated in this disclosure by reference in its entirety.
BACKGROUNDThe present invention is in the technical field of containers. More particularly, the present invention is in the technical field of cosmetics containers.
Cosmetic containers, also known as makeup bags, are used by individuals and professionals to hold cosmetics, makeup, makeup supplies, accessories, and other tools.
In artistic and entertainment industries such television, film, fashion, etc., that utilize living individuals such as, actors, models, performers, newscasters, etc., makeup and other cosmetics are applied to individuals before an event, performance, or prior to being exposed to a camera, a camcorder, an audience, or the public.
Generally, the cosmetics, makeup, makeup supplies, accessories and tools used to prepare one individual are kept separate and apart from those used to prepare other individuals through the use of cosmetics bags, bins, cases, or other similar containers. These containers are usually labeled using the name of the individual on which the contents are being used to mark on which individual the contents are to be used.
Additionally, it standard for individuals in these artistic industries to distribute 4-inch by 6-inch photographs of themselves, such as headshots or action shots, as a way to promote themselves for job opportunities. Photographs of professionals who receive cosmetic treatment within artistic industries are therefore readily available, and have been for many decades.
SUMMARYThe present invention is a cosmetics container wherein a photograph sleeve is affixed to or incorporated into the cosmetics or makeup container so that a photograph may be placed within the pouch or sleeve. The photograph placed within the photograph sleeve helps to identify the individual on which the cosmetics, makeup, makeup supplies, accessories, or tools within the container are being used.
The cosmetics container comprises at least two transparent sides that are opposite from one another so that when a photograph placed in the photograph sleeve affixed to or incorporated into one transparent side of the cosmetics container and the photograph is positioned to face the interior of the cosmetics container, the photograph may be visible through the opposite transparent side.
The photograph sleeve may be made from any material that allows for the contents of the photograph sleeve to be seen from the exterior of the cosmetics container. This material may be transparent, or, this material may be partially opaque if the photograph sleeve is affixed to or incorporated into a transparent surface such that it is visible from the exterior of the cosmetics container.
The photograph sleeve may be affixed to any side of a container, including the interior or exterior surfaces, so long as it is visible from the exterior of the cosmetics container.
The photograph sleeve may even be affixed to the inside of the cosmetics container such that a photograph is visible through at least one transparent side of the cosmetics container.
The photograph sleeve may be used to hold the industry-standard 4-inch by 6-inch photograph, or other photograph sizes, if desired.

The cosmetics container may be made from any material, however transparent sides of the cosmetics container may be made from any transparent materials, including but not limited to plastic, vinyl, acrylic, glass, and/or plexiglass.
Other various embodiments of the invention include a means to place a photograph into the photograph sleeve from various sides of the photograph sleeve.
The advantages of the present invention include, without limitation, easy recognition of the individual on which the contents of a cosmetic bag are to be used, lowered risk of mixing up cosmetics bags, the ability to hold an industry-standard photograph, etc.
In broad embodiment, the present invention is a cosmetics container with an attached, affixed, or integrated a photograph sleeve that is visible through the cosmetics container.
While the foregoing written description of the invention enables one of ordinary skill to make and use what is considered presently to be the best mode thereof, those of ordinary skill will understand and appreciate the existence of variations, combinations, and equivalents of the specific embodiment, method, and examples herein. The invention should therefore not be limited by the above described embodiment, method, and examples, but by all embodiments and methods within the scope and spirit of the invention.
Claims
1. A cosmetics container comprising:
- a top;
- a bottom;
- at least four sides wherein at least two opposing sides are comprised of transparent material;
- an interior;
- an exterior;
- at least one opening to access the interior of the cosmetics container; and
- a photograph sleeve affixed to at least one transparent side such that a photograph inserted into the photograph sleeve is visible from the exterior of the cosmetics container.
2. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein the photograph sleeve accommodates a photograph that is four inches by six inches in dimension.
3. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein the photograph sleeve is affixed to the exterior surface of at least one transparent side of the cosmetics container.
4. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein the photograph sleeve is affixed to the interior surface of one transparent side of the cosmetics container.
5. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein the photograph sleeve is comprised of transparent material.
6. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein an opening is located on the top of the cosmetics container.
7. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein an opening is located on at least one of the sides of the cosmetics container.
8. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein an opening can be held closed by a fastening device.
9. The cosmetics container according to claim 1, wherein at least one storage pouch is incorporated onto at least one side of the cosmetics container.
10. A cosmetics container comprising:
- At least six total sides wherein each side has an opposite counterpart and at least two opposite sides are comprised of transparent material;
- an interior;
- an exterior;
- at least one opening to access the interior of the cosmetics container; and
- a photograph sleeve affixed to at least one transparent side such that a photograph inserted into the photograph sleeve is visible from the exterior of the cosmetics container.
11. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the photograph sleeve accommodates a photograph that is four inches by six inches in dimension.
12. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the photograph sleeve is affixed to the exterior surface of at least one transparent side of the cosmetics container.
13. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the photograph sleeve is affixed to the interior surface of one transparent side of the cosmetics container.
14. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the photograph sleeve is comprised of transparent material.
15. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein an opening is located on at least one of the sides of the cosmetics container.
16. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein the opening can be held closed by a fastening device.
17. The cosmetics container according to claim 10, wherein at least one storage pouch is incorporated onto at least one side of the cosmetics container.
