CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

This application is based on and claims the benefit of priority from Chinese Patent Application No. 201711072270.3 filed on 3 Nov. 2017, the contents of which are incorporated by reference.

FIELD

The present disclosure relates to the field of filters, and in particular, to a top cover, sealing ring and filter for an outlet of a washbasin.

BACKGROUND

There is always a large amount of sewage flowing into the outlet of the washbasin, if small sundries such as hair and threads or the like carried in the sewage have not be filtered in time, they will tie and twine at the outlet, obstructing discharge of the sewage and even leading to blockage of the drain, thereby causing inconvenience. Therefore, a strainer is usually arranged at the outlet of the washbasin to filter the sewage. When the amount of sewage is small, the strainer can have a filtering effect on the sewage to some degree, however, once there is a large amount of sewage flowing into the outlet, the sundries carried in the sewage will accumulate at the strainer, obstructing discharge of the sewage, thereby the accumulated sundries need to be handled frequently in order to ensure smooth flow of the sewage. Moreover, because the drainers on the market have uniform models with different inner diameters and depths for various manufacturers (all configured by the manufacturers themself), it is difficult for some old-fashioned washbasins to adapt to the strainers available on the market.

Recently, some filters have appeared on the market. When in use, the filters are placed in the drainer to filter the sewage, and these filters have a larger space for the filtered sewage than the strainers, thus improving filtration performance. But existing filters do not match completely with the drainer, causing incomplete sealing between the filter and the inner wall of the drainer, thus incomplete filtration. When the sewage flows through, small sundries such as hair or the like may still flow into the drain, if things continue in this way, the sundries will accumulate in the drain causing blockage of the drain, which is difficult to deal with.

In addition, existing filters are unable to separate the sundries from the flowing water completely, and the sundries will seriously affect the flow speed. If the filters with large apertures are adopted, the desired filtration effect on small sundries such as hair or the like could not be achieved; if the filters with small apertures are adopted, the sundries will accumulate and block the water flow, leading to unsatisfactory performance on filtration.

the filter for an outlet of a washbasin provided in the present disclosure comprises a top cover, a filter cylinder and a sealing ring. The cylinder body of filter cylinder is provided with a number of drainage holes, and the bottom of the filter cylinder is arranged with the sealing ring provided with the plugging part, such that the sundries carried in the sewage are unable to pass through the drainage holes provided by the cylinder body of the filter cylinder but filtered and accumulated at the plugging part of the sealing ring when the sewage passes through the filter for an outlet of a washbasin, thereby separating the sundries in the sewage. Although partial drainage holes arranged at the bottom of the cylinder body may be blocked by the sundries, the sewage can still be discharged from the drainage holes arranged at upper part of the cylinder body, thus the water flow speed will not be affected by the accumulated sundries. Since the plugging part of the sealing ring is arranged at the outer edge of the supporting part, preferably extending obliquely in an upward and outward direction, the sealing ring can fit and seal with the inner wall of the drainer, thereby preventing the sundries from falling into the drain and affecting discharging. The sealing ring is snapped outside the connecting component and detachably connected to the filter cylinder, which enables flexible detachment, cleaning, and convenient replacement.

Further detailed description of the filter for an outlet of a washbasin of the present disclosure will be given with another three specific embodiments hereinafter. The following exemplary embodiments are merely to illustrate the filter for an outlet of a washbasin proposed by the present disclosure, and not intended to limit the scope of the filter for an outlet of a washbasin of the present disclosure.

Embodiment 9

With reference to FIGS. 13-15, the filter for an outlet of a washbasin provided in the present embodiment comprises a top cover 100, a filter cylinder 200 and a sealing ring 300, wherein the top cover 100 and the sealing ring 300 are respectively connected to the top and bottom of the filter cylinder 200.

Herein, the top cover 100 comprises an arched portion 111 and three supporting legs 112. The three supporting legs 112 are arranged as rotationally symmetrical about the symmetrical centerline of the arched portion 111, i.e., the three supporting legs may overlap when the top cover is rotated about the symmetrical centerline of the arched portion 111 by 120°, and the supporting legs 112 respectively extend outwards along the edge of the arched portion 111 such that the top cover 100 is in a structure of circular arch. The arched portion 111 of the top cover 100 is located at the center of the top of the filter for an outlet of a washbasin, is provided with drainage holes 113 circumferentially spaced apart from one another, and is provided with a protrusion 114 on the inner surface thereof, into which a threaded hole 115 is opened.

The filter cylinder 200 comprises an inner cover 120, a cylinder body and a connecting component 220. Through the manner of laser spot welding, the inner cover 120 is welded and fixed on the top of the cylinder body, and the connecting component 220 is welded to the bottom of the cylinder body. The inner cover 120 is provided with a recess 121 which is recessed downwards, and the recess 121 is provided with a through hole 123 and a number of drainage holes 122. The position of the through hole 123 needs to be aligned with the position of the threaded hole 115, and the drainage holes 122 are evenly spaced, discharging the accumulated sewage. The cylinder body is provided evenly with a number of drainage holes 210. The connecting component 220 is in a structure of an annular ring and comprises a groove 221, an upper support 222, and a lower support 223, wherein the upper support 222 and the lower support 223 are arranged at the top and bottom of the groove 221 respectively.

The sealing ring 300 comprises a supporting part 310 and a plugging part 320 arranged at an outer edge of the supporting part 310, extending obliquely in an upward and outward direction. The supporting part 310 is provided circumferentially with a number of drainage holes 311 with a diameter less than that of the drainage holes 210. The sealing ring 300 is made of, but not limited to, materials with good elasticity such as rubber or the like.

The top cover 100 may be connected to the inner cover 120 by fastening of the screw 130 to the threaded hole 115 in the protrusion 114 via the through hole 123 arranged at the inner cover 120, thereby the top cover 100 may be fastened to the filter cylinder 200. The sealing ring 300 is connected with the connecting component 220 by a snap-fit connection, wherein the supporting part 310 of the sealing ring 300 is snapped into the groove 221 of the connecting component 220, and the upper support 222 and the lower support 223 may collectively provide a location-limited support for the sealing ring 300, such that the sealing ring 300 and the filter cylinder 200 can be detachably connected together.

When the filter for an outlet of a washbasin is used, the top cover 100 is placed at a top opening of the drainer 400. Since the top cover 100 is provided with the arched portion 111 which is supported by three supporting legs 112, the sewage can flow through the interspace between the supporting legs 112, and the sewage can be discharged through the drainage holes 113 provided on the top cover 100 at the same time. When the sewage flows through the filter cylinder 200, the cylinder body filters the sewage, and the sundries such as hair and threads or the like will be obstructed outside the filter cylinder 200 and accumulated at the sealing ring 300, thus preventing the accumulated sundries from falling into the drain effectively, and meanwhile, the water flow may be discharged through the drainage holes 210 provided on the cylinder body and drainage holes 311 provided on the supporting part 310.

After the filter for an outlet of a washbasin is used for a period of time, the sealing ring 300, on which a large number of sundries have been accumulated and needed to be dealt with, may be disassembled for cleaning or replacement flexibly due to the detachable connection of the sealing ring 300 with the filter cylinder 200.

It should be noted that the top cover in the present embodiment is a circular arched top cover with three supporting legs, practically, if a supporting frame 430 is arranged in the drainer, the top cover in the present disclosure may selected from a flat top cover or a circular arched top cover without providing supporting legs. Furthermore, the number of the supporting legs may be arranged as 4, 6, or otherwise. The top cover and filter cylinder in the present disclosure can be made of metals, plastics or other materials, and the sealing ring can be made of other materials with softness and elasticity. Moreover, the diameter of the sealing ring can be 46.40 mm, 43.00 mm, 40.00 mm, 38.20 mm or other size, which can be selected flexibly according to the size of the drainer. By means of laser welding, the inner cover is welded to the top of the cylinder body and the connecting component is welded to the lower part of the cylinder body in the present embodiment, practically, the means of welding may be one selected from electron beam welding, plasma welding, resistance welding or argon arc welding.

Embodiment 10

The filter for an outlet of a washbasin provided in the present embodiment is substantially the same as that provided in the embodiment 9, and the difference lies in that the number of the supporting legs of the filter for an outlet of a washbasin differs from that provided in the embodiment 9.

With reference to FIG. 16, the filter for an outlet of a washbasin provided in the present embodiment comprises a top cover 100, a filter cylinder 200 and a sealing ring 300, wherein the top cover 100 and the sealing ring 300 are respectively connected to the top and bottom of the filter cylinder 200. Herein, the top cover 100 comprises an arched portion 111 and four supporting legs 112. The four supporting legs 112 are arranged as rotationally symmetrical about the symmetrical centerline of the arched portion, i.e., the four supporting legs can overlap after the top cover is rotated about the symmetrical centerline of the arched portion by 90°, and the supporting legs 112 extend outwards respectively along the edge of the arched portion 111, such that the top cover 100 is in a structure of circular arch. The arched portion 111 of the top cover 100 is located at the center of the filter for an outlet of a washbasin, is provided with drainage holes 113 circumferentially spaced apart from one another, and is provided with a protrusion 114 on the inner surface thereof, into which a threaded hole 115 is opened.

The structure and connection methods of the filter cylinder 200 and sealing ring 300 of the filter for an outlet of a washbasin provided in this embodiment are the same as those provided in embodiment 9, which will be not described herein again.

Embodiment 11

The filter for an outlet of a washbasin provided in this embodiment is substantially the same as that of embodiment 9, the specific structure of which will not be described herein again.

The filter for an outlet of a washbasin provided in this embodiment needs to used cooperatively with the supporting frame 430, thus the top cover 100 is unnecessarily arranged with supporting legs, certainly, the top cover 100 may also be arranged as a circular arched top cover. The supporting frame 430 is arranged inside the drainer 400 to restrict the relative position of the filter for an outlet of a washbasin and the drainer 400, and when the filter for an outlet of a washbasin is placed on the supporting frame 430, the top cover 100 of the filter for an outlet of a washbasin is generally at a level above the opening surface 410 of the drainer 400.

The filters for the outlet of washbasin provided in embodiments 9, 10 and 11 may provide good stability, and may separate the sundries in the sewage completely, without affecting the speed of the water flow at the time when the sundries are filtered. The sealing ring is made of rubber, with advantages of softness and large deformation, which overcomes the problem among traditional filters that is difficult to compatible due to hardness. The sealing ring having corresponding size may be matched according to the model of the drainer, such that the sealing ring can fit and seal drainers with different models completely, facilitating wider application of the filter for the outlet of washbasin and more thorough filtration. Furthermore, the sealing ring and the filter cylinder are connected together by a snap-fit connection, which enables flexible detachment. After the filter is used for a period of time, the sealing ring can be removed and cleaned, or replaced as a consumable with low value, which can save time and effort.

According to some embodiments mentioned above, such as embodiments 7-11, the inner cover can be arranged according to requirements. For example, the inner cover can be a part of the top cover integrally molded with the cover body, or an independent component fixed and connected to the cover body. For example again, the inner cover can be a part of the filter cylinder integrally molded with the cylinder body of the filter cylinder, or an independent component fixed and connected to the cylinder body of the filter cylinder. Furthermore, the filter for an outlet of a washbasin proposed in the present disclosure may be provided with or without the inner cover, as long as the top cover can be connected to the top of the filter cylinder.

In the present disclosure, the terms “connect”, “fix” and the like should be understood broadly unless specifically defined or limited otherwise, and for example, they may be fixed connection, detachable connection, or integrally molded; they may be mechanical connection, direct connection or indirect connection through an intermediary, which may be an internal communication of two elements or an interaction for two elements.
