Cigarette with reduced smoke temperature and improved flavor

A cigarette with a reduced smoke temperature and an improved flavor includes a tobacco section (1), a filter section, and a smoke backflow section arranged between the tobacco section (1) and the filter section. An inlet hole (3) is provided at the smoke backflow section near the tobacco section (1) and intercommunication with the tobacco section (1). An outlet hole (6) is provided at the smoke backflow section near the filter section and intercommunicated with the filter section. Multiple airflow baffles (5) are staggered up and down inside the smoke backflow section and form a smoke backflow channel (4) which is sinuous. A first end of the smoke backflow channel (4) is intercommunicated with the inlet hole (3), and a second end of the smoke backflow channel (4) is intercommunicated with the outlet hole (6). Smoke enters the smoke backflow section from the inlet hole (3), and then passes through the smoke backflow channel (4). In the smoke backflow section, a flow distance of the smoke is increased, and a heat exchange among hot airflow, the airflow baffles (5) and inner walls of the smoke backflow section reduces a smoke temperature.

CROSS REFERENCE OF RELATED APPLICATION

This is a U.S. National Stage under 35 U.S.C 371 of the International Application PCT/CN2017/081183, filed Apr. 20, 2017, which claims priority under 35 U.S.C. 119(a-d) to CN 201610246284.1, filed Apr. 20, 2016.

BACKGROUND OF THE PRESENT INVENTION Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a technical field of cigarette, and more particularly to a cigarette with a reduced smoke temperature and an improved flavor.

Description of Related Arts

The cigarette which is heated externally, not heated through burning of the tobacco, is able to obviously decrease the harmful substances generated due to burning of the cigarette and decrease the damages of the secondhand smoke to the nonsmokers. An important part of the externally heated cigarette is the tobacco product which will release the smoke aerosol when the cigarette is heated at a low temperature. The tobacco product generally reaches an atomizing temperature at 200° C.-400° C.; and the temperature of the high-temperature atomized smoke entering the oral cavity is higher than the burning temperature of the ordinary cigarette.

SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION

An object of the present invention is to provide a cigarette with a reduced smoke temperature and an improved flavor, so as to solve problems existing in prior art.

A cigarette with a reduced smoke temperature and an improved flavor comprises a tobacco section, a filter section, and a smoke backflow section arranged between the tobacco section and the filter section, wherein: an inlet hole is provided at the smoke backflow section near the tobacco section and intercommunicated with the tobacco section; an outlet hole is provided at the smoke backflow section near the filter section and intercommunicated with the filter section; multiple airflow baffles are staggered up and down inside the smoke backflow section and form a smoke backflow channel which is sinuous; a first end of the smoke backflow channel is intercommunicated with the inlet hole, and a second end of the smoke backflow channel is intercommunicated with the outlet hole; smoke enters the smoke backflow section from the inlet hole and then passes through the smoke backflow channel; in the smoke backflow section, a flow distance of the smoke is increased, and a heat exchange among hot airflow, the airflow baffles and inner walls of the smoke backflow section reduces a smoke temperature.

Preferably, the cigarette further comprises a flavor enhancement section arranged between the tobacco section and the smoke backflow section.

Preferably, a second filter section is arranged between the tobacco section and the smoke backflow section.

Preferably, the filter section is a hollow filter tip, an ordinary filter tip or a sunk filter tip.

Preferably, the smoke backflow section has an airflow structure which is able to increase the flow distance of the smoke in the cigarette, such as a helical airflow structure and a turn-back airflow structure.

Preferably, one inlet hole is respectively provided at a top and a bottom of a side of the smoke backflow section near the tobacco section; the smoke backflow channel has two smoke backflow branches; an inlet of each smoke backflow branch corresponds to one inlet hole; and the outlet hole is intercommunicated with outlets of both two smoke backflow branches.

Preferably, the inlet hole is provided at a side of the smoke backflow section near the tobacco section; one outlet hole is respectively provided at a top and a bottom of a side of the smoke backflow section near the filter section; the smoke backflow channel has two smoke backflow branches; inlets of the smoke backflow branches correspond to the inlet hole; and an outlet of each smoke backflow branch corresponds to one outlet hole.

Preferably, the cigarette further comprises a flavor enhancement section arranged between the tobacco section and the smoke backflow section, wherein: a tobacco essence and flavor fragile capsule or an adsorption carrier with essence and flavor attached to the adsorption carrier is arranged inside the flavor enhancement section; or, the adsorption carrier is arranged on a surface of each airflow baffle with the essence and flavor attached to the adsorption carrier.

Preferably, the adsorption carrier is prepared by foam metal, plastic material, molecular sieve, polypropylene, activated carbon, polyester, nylon fibers, porous ceramic, non-woven fabrics, carbon fibers, natural cellulose fibers or cellulosic derivative fibers.

Preferably, the tobacco section comprises cut tobacco, tobacco sheets, an atomizing agent, an auxiliary material, a tobacco extract, and tobacco essence and flavor, wherein: the cut tobacco accounts for 40%-90% of a total weight of the tobacco section; the tobacco sheets account for 5%-50% of the total weight; the atomizing agent accounts for 2%-35% of the total weight; the auxiliary material accounts for 0-10% of the total weight; the tobacco extract accounts for 0.1%-20% of the total weight; and, the tobacco essence and flavor account for 0.01%-8% of the total weight.

Preferably, the cut tobacco accounts for 50,%-80% of the total weight of the tobacco section; the tobacco sheets account for 10%-40% of the total weight; the atomizing agent accounts for 5%-30% of the total weight; the auxiliary material accounts for 0.5%-8% of the total weight; the tobacco extract accounts for 0.5%-15% of the total weight; and, the tobacco essence and flavor account for 0.05%-5% of the total weight.

Preferably, the inlet hole is in a shape of bell mouth.

Preferably, the smoke backflow section accounts for ⅙-⅔ of a length of the cigarette; an appropriate length of the smoke backflow section is able to obviously reduce the smoke temperature, and the cigarette will have an appropriate draw resistance.

Preferably, the cigarette has a length of 35 mm-100 mm and an outer diameter of 3 mm-12 mm.

The present invention has following beneficial effects. Firstly, the designed smoke backflow section changes the flow pathway of the smoke, extends the flow distance of the smoke in the cigarette, increases the heat exchange efficiency between the smoke and the cigarette, and effectively reduces the smoke temperature of the externally heated tobacco product. Secondly, the flavor enhancement section near the tobacco product fully utilizes the heat of the airflow of the tobacco section, so that the smoke temperature is reduced and the smoke becomes comfortable.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The technical solutions of the present invention are clearly and completely described with accompanying drawings as follows.

First Preferred Embodiment

Referring to FIG. 1, according to the first preferred embodiment of the present invention, a cigarette with a flavor enhancement section is provided, comprising a tobacco section 1, the flavor enhancement section 2, a smoke backflow section and a filter section which are successively connected, wherein: the filter section consists of a solid filter 7 and a hollow filter 8; the solid filter 7 is connected with the smoke backflow section, and the hollow filter 8 is located at an outermost end of the cigarette; two inlet holes 3 are provided at the smoke backflow section near the flavor enhancement section 2 and intercommunicated with the flavor enhancement section 2; an outlet hole 6 is provided at the smoke backflow section near the filter section and intercommunicated with the filter section; multiple airflow baffles 5 are staggered up and down inside the smoke backflow section and form a smoke backflow channel 4 which is sinuous; first ends of the smoke backflow channel 4 are intercommunicated with the inlet holes 3, and a second end of the smoke backflow channel 4 is intercommunicated with the outlet hole 6. As shown in FIG. 1, according to the first preferred embodiment, four airflow baffles 5 are arranged, respectively a first airflow baffle, a second airflow baffle, a third airflow baffle and a fourth airflow baffle, from top to bottom.

The inlet holes 3 are respectively provided at a top and a bottom of a side of the smoke backflow section near the flavor enhancement section 2; the first airflow baffle which is topmost is located below the upper inlet hole 3, wherein a first end of the first airflow baffle seals the flavor enhancement section 2 through contacting, and a second end of the first airflow baffle is at a certain distance from the filter section, so as to form a first opening; a first end of the second airflow baffle located below the first opening seals the filter section through contacting, and a second end of the second airflow baffle is at a certain distance from the flavor enhancement section 2, so as to form a second opening; with the staggered first airflow baffle and second airflow baffle, the sinuous smoke backflow channel 4 is formed through a space between the first airflow baffle and an upper sidewall of the smoke backflow section, the first opening between the second end of the first airflow baffle and the filter section, and the second opening between the second end of the second airflow baffle and the flavor enhancement section 2; after heating the cigarette, smoke enters the smoke backflow section from the inlet holes 3, and then passes through the smoke backflow channel 4; in the smoke backflow section, a flow distance of the smoke is increased, and a heat exchange among hot airflow, the airflow baffles 5 and inner walls of the smoke backflow section reduces a smoke temperature; after flowing out of the outlet hole 6, the smoke successively enters the solid filter 7 and the hollow filter 8, and finally the smoke temperature is reduced to below 45° C.

The third airflow baffle, the fourth airflow baffle and the lower inlet hole 3 are arranged in a similar way as described above and not repeated.

According to the first preferred embodiment, the tobacco section 1 comprises cut tobacco, tobacco sheets, an atomizing agent, an auxiliary material, a tobacco extract, and tobacco essence and flavor, wherein: the cut tobacco accounts for 70% of a total weight of the tobacco section; the tobacco sheets account for 14% of the total weight; the atomizing agent consists of glycerin and ethylene glycol with a weight ratio of 3:1 and accounts for 12% of the total weight; the auxiliary material accounts for 1% of the total weight; the tobacco extract accounts for 2.8% of the total weight; and, the tobacco essence and flavor account for 0.2% of the total weight.

According to the first preferred embodiment, in the flavor enhancement section 2, non-woven fabric is adopted as an adsorption medium, and a prepared tobacco low-boiling-point flavor is added with an addition amount of 0.1% of the total weight of the tobacco section.

The cigarette provided by the first preferred embodiment is able to obviously reduce the smoke temperature, and the added flavor of the flavor enhancement section coordinates with the smoke.

Second Preferred Embodiment

Referring to FIG. 2, according to the second preferred embodiment of the present invention, a cigarette without a flavor enhancement section is provided, whose structure is basically similar as that of the first preferred embodiment, comprising a tobacco section 1, a smoke backflow section and a filter section which are successively connected, wherein: the filter section consists of a solid filter 7 and a hollow filter 8; the solid filter 7 is connected with the smoke backflow section, and the hollow filter 8 is located at an outermost end of the cigarette; the smoke backflow section in the second preferred embodiment is same as that in the first preferred embodiment, but connected with the tobacco section 1.

According to the second preferred embodiment, the tobacco section 1 comprises cut tobacco, tobacco sheets, an atomizing agent, a tobacco extract, and tobacco essence and flavor, wherein: the cut tobacco accounts for 65% of a total weight of the tobacco section; the tobacco sheets account for 17% of the total weight; the atomizing agent consists of glycerin and ethylene glycol with a weight ratio of 4:1 and accounts for 15% of the total weight; the tobacco extract accounts for 2.5% of the total weight; and, the tobacco essence and flavor account for 0.5% of the total weight. Because there is no flavor enhancement section in the cigarette, an appropriate amount of essence and flavor is added, so as to improve flavor of smoke.

Furthermore, an adsorption carrier is arranged on a surface of each airflow baffle 5; essence and flavor are attached to the adsorption carrier, so as to achieve a flavor enhancement effect of smoke.

The cigarette provided by the second preferred embodiment is able to obviously reduce the smoke temperature and has an obvious tobacco aroma.

Third Preferred Embodiment

Referring to FIG. 3, according to the third preferred embodiment of the present invention, a cigarette with a flavor enhancement section containing a fragile capsule is provided, comprising a tobacco section 1, the flavor enhancement section 2, a smoke backflow section and a filter section which are successively connected, wherein: the filter section consists of a solid filter 7 and a hollow filter 8; the solid filter 7 is connected with the smoke backflow section, and the hollow filter 8 is located at an outermost end of the cigarette; the smoke backflow section in the third preferred embodiment is same as that in the first preferred embodiment.

According to the third preferred embodiment, the tobacco section 1 comprises cut tobacco, tobacco sheets, an atomizing agent, a tobacco extract, and tobacco essence and flavor, wherein: the cut tobacco accounts for 60% of a total weight of the tobacco section; the tobacco sheets account for 15% of the total weight; the atomizing agent consists of glycerin, ethylene glycol and water with a weight ratio of 10:10:1 and accounts for 20% of the total weight; the tobacco extract accounts for 4.9% of the total weight; and, the tobacco essence and flavor account for 0.1% of the total weight.

According to the third preferred embodiment, in the flavor enhancement section 2, the fragile capsule 9 containing prepared tobacco essence and flavor is wrapped with cellulose acetate fibers; before heating the tobacco section 1, the fragile capsule 9 is broken, so as to release the essence and flavor; the essence and flavor are brought out with utilizing hot airflow of the tobacco section 1, so that aroma of smoke is increased.

The cigarette provided by the third preferred embodiment is able to obviously reduce the smoke temperature, and the essence and flavor contained in the capsule have an obvious aroma.

Fourth Preferred Embodiment

Referring to FIG. 4, according to the fourth preferred embodiment of the present invention, a cigarette with a flavor enhancement section is provided, comprising a tobacco section 1, a flavor enhancement section 2, a smoke backflow section and a filter section which are successively connected, wherein: the filter section consists of a hollow filter 10 and a solid filter 11; the hollow filter 10 is connected with the smoke backflow section, and the solid filter 11 is located at an outermost end of the cigarette.

The smoke backflow section in the fourth preferred embodiment is same as that in the first preferred embodiment, but is reversely arranged. An inlet hole 12 is provided at the smoke backflow section near the flavor enhancement section 2, and two outlet holes 13 are provided at the smoke backflow section near the filter section; multiple airflow baffles 5 are staggered up and down inside the smoke backflow section and form a smoke backflow channel 4 which is sinuous; a first end of the smoke backflow channel 4 is intercommunicated with the inlet hole 12, and second ends of the smoke backflow channel 4 are intercommunicated with the outlet holes 13. According to the fourth preferred embodiment, two airflow baffles 5 are arranged at an upper part of the smoke backflow section, and two airflow baffles 5 are arranged at a lower part of the smoke backflow section; the upper two airflow baffles 5 and the lower two airflow baffles 5 respectively form a smoke backflow branch; an outlet of each smoke backflow branch is intercommunicated with the corresponding outlet hole 13.

The inlet hole 12 is located between the two groups of the airflow baffles. After smoke enters the smoke backflow section from the inlet hole 12, the smoke respectively enters the two smoke backflow branches through a channel between the two groups of the airflow baffles, then passes through the smoke backflow branches, and flows out of the outlet holes 13.

According to the fourth preferred embodiment, the tobacco section 1 comprises cut tobacco, tobacco sheets, an atomizing agent, a tobacco extract, a non-tobacco extract, and tobacco essence and flavor, wherein: the cut tobacco accounts for 50% of a total weight of the tobacco section; the tobacco sheets account for 28% of the total weight; an auxiliary material accounts for 2% of the total weight; the atomizing agent consists of glycerin, ethylene glycol and ethyl alcohol with a weight ratio of 10:10:0.5 and accounts for 15% of the total weight; the tobacco extract and the non-tobacco extract account for 4.5% of the total weight; and, the tobacco essence and flavor account for 0.5% of the total weight.

According to the fourth preferred embodiment, in the flavor enhancement section 2, non-woven fabric serves as an adsorption medium, and a flavor prepared with an intermediate of Maillard reaction is added with an addition amount of 0.1% of the total weight of the tobacco section.

The cigarette provided by the fourth preferred embodiment is able to obviously reduce the smoke temperature; the smoke has the obvious aroma generated by the Maillard reaction; the flavor enhancement effect is obvious; and the aroma coordinates with the smoke.

Fifth Preferred Embodiment

Referring to FIG. 5, according to the fifth preferred embodiment of the present invention, a cigarette with a flavor enhancement section is provided, comprising a tobacco section 1, the flavor enhancement section 2, a smoke backflow section and a filter section which are successively connected, wherein: the filter section consists of a hollow filter 10 and a solid filter 11; the hollow filter 10 is connected with the smoke backflow section, and the solid filter 11 is located at an outermost end of the cigarette.

The smoke backflow section in the fifth preferred embodiment is same as that in the fourth preferred embodiment; and moreover, the inlet hole 12 is in a shape of bell mouth, which is able to obviously reduce a draw resistance.

According to the fifth preferred embodiment, the tobacco section 1 comprises cut tobacco, tobacco sheets, an atomizing agent, a tobacco extract, a non-tobacco extract, and tobacco essence and flavor, wherein: the cut tobacco accounts for 65% of a total weight of the tobacco section; the tobacco sheets account for 15% of the total weight; an auxiliary material accounts for 1% of the total weight; the atomizing agent consists of glycerin and ethylene glycol with a weight ratio of 3:2 and accounts for 15% of the total weight; the tobacco extract and the non-tobacco extract account for 3.5% of the total weight; and, the tobacco essence and flavor account for 0.5% of the total weight.

According to the fifth preferred embodiment, in the flavor enhancement section 2, non-woven fabric serves as an adsorption medium, and a flavor prepared with menthol is added with an addition amount of 0.2% of the total weight of the tobacco section.

The cigarette provided by the fifth preferred embodiment is able to obviously reduce the smoke temperature; after heating the flavor precursor of menthol, a flavor component with a minty smell is isolated, which improves the smoke flavor.

The above-described is only preferred embodiments of the present invention, and the protection scope of the present invention is not limited thereto. Modifications and replacements which can be easily obtained by one skilled in the art based on the disclosed technical solutions of the present invention are all encompassed within the protection scope of the present invention. Therefore, the protection scope of the present invention is subject to the protection scope of following claims.

11: A cigarette with a reduced smoke temperature and an improved flavor, comprising a tobacco section and a filter section, and further comprising a smoke backflow section arranged between the tobacco section and the filter section, wherein: an inlet hole is provided at the smoke backflow section near the tobacco section and intercommunication with the tobacco section: an outlet hole is provided at the smoke backflow section near the filter section and intercommunicated with the filter section; multiple airflow baffles are staggered up and down inside the smoke backflow section and form a smoke backflow channel which is sinuous; a first end of the smoke backflow channel is intercommunicated with the inlet hole, and a second end of the smoke backflow channel is intercommunicated with the outlet hole: smoke enters the smoke backflow section from the inlet hole, and then passes through the smoke backflow channel; in the smoke backflow section, a flow distance of the smoke is increased, and a heat exchange among hot airflow, the airflow baffles and inner walls of the smoke backflow section reduces a smoke temperature.

12: The cigarette, as recited in claim 11, wherein: one inlet hole is respectively provided at a top and a bottom of a side of the smoke backflow section near the tobacco section: the smoke backflow channel has two smoke backflow branches; an inlet of each smoke backflow branch corresponds to one inlet hole; and the outlet hole is intercommunicated with outlets of both two smoke backflow branches.

13: The cigarette, as recited in claim 11, wherein: the inlet hole is provided at a side of the smoke backflow section near the tobacco section; one outlet hole is respectively provided at a top and a bottom of a side of the smoke backflow section near the filter section; the smoke backflow channel has two smoke backflow branches; inlets of the smoke backflow branches correspond to the inlet hole; and an outlet of each smoke backflow branch corresponds to one outlet hole.

14: The cigarette, as recited in claim 11, further comprising a flavor enhancement section arranged between the tobacco section and the smoke backflow section, wherein: a tobacco essence and flavor fragile capsule or an adsorption carrier with essence and flavor attached to the adsorption carrier is arranged inside the flavor enhancement section; or, the adsorption carrier is arranged on a surface of each airflow baffle with the essence and flavor attached to the adsorption carrier.

15: The cigarette, as recited in claim 14, wherein: the adsorption carrier is prepared by foam metal, plastic material, molecular sieve, polypropylene, activated carbon, polyester, nylon fibers, porous ceramic, non-woven fabrics, carbon fibers, natural cellulose fibers or cellulosic derivative fibers.

16: The cigarette, as recited in claim 11, wherein: the tobacco section comprises cut tobacco, tobacco sheets, an atomizing agent, an auxiliary material, a tobacco extract, and tobacco essence and flavor, wherein: the cut tobacco accounts for 40%-90% of a total weight of the tobacco section: the tobacco sheets account for 5%-50% of the total weight; the atomizing agent accounts for 2%-35% of the total weight: the auxiliary material accounts for 0-10% of the total weight: the tobacco extract accounts for 0.1%-20% of the total weight; and, the tobacco essence and flavor account for 0.01%-8% of the total weight.
