Deck of Card For Bluffing Game
A deck of cards for a bluffing-type card game where the deck consists of a plurality of positive cards (called Blue cards) and a plurality of negative cards (called Red cards) and the game begins with a deck, with the first player drawing a card and indicating to the second player in order whether the first player wants to keep the card or not. Without showing the drawn card to any player, the second player then opts to either accept the drawn card or make the first player keep it. Play continues with the first player drawing against the next player and after the first player has drawn to all other players, the deck rotates to the second player and the second player begins by drawing against the next player in order. The game continues until all cards in the deck have been played. The deck also includes a plurality of penalty cards, called Wrath cards, and a plurality of relief cards called Mercy cards. The penalty and relief cards are drawn from the deck and bluffed by the player just like the positive and negative cards. The Wrath cards are deducted from the highest positive point cards on each player's table at the end of the game—and the Mercy cards are deducted from the players highest point negative cards at the end of the game.
There are many bluffing-type card games in use throughout the world including the Taradiddle game, the Feudality game, the BS game, and a 1975 Parker Brothers game called Arkansas Bluff. These are found at the following websites: http://boardgamegeek.com and http://www.pagat.com.
However, these fail to include the following features: (1) the non-dealing of cards to the players prior to the start of the game; (2) the non-standard deck of cards where they are fairly evenly divided between positive and negative cards, and; (3) the Mercy and Wrath features of a limited number of cards.
It is a primary object of the present invention to ameliorate the above problems noted in the prior art.
SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTIONIn accordance with the present invention, a deck of cards is provided for a bluffing card game is provided that where the deck consists of a plurality of positive cards (called Blue cards) and a plurality of negative cards (called Red cards) and the game begins with a deck, with the first player drawing a card and indicating to the second player in order whether the first player wants to keep the card or not. Without showing the drawn card to any player, the second player then opts to either accept the drawn card or make the first player keep it. Play continues with the first player drawing against the next player and after the first player has drawn to all other players, the deck rotates to the second player and the second player begins by drawing against the next player in order. The game continues until all cards in the deck have been played.
The deck also includes a plurality of penalty cards, called Wrath cards, and a plurality of relief cards called Mercy cards. The penalty and relief cards are drawn from the deck and bluffed by the player just like the positive and negative cards. The Wrath cards are deducted from the highest positive point cards on each player's table at the end of the game—and the Mercy cards are deducted from the players highest point negative cards at the end of the game.
Seven cards are buried from the deck at the beginning of the game.
Other objects and advantages will appear more clearly from the following detailed description.
Before referring to the drawings, applicant would like to set out: (a) type of cards and (b) Rules of Play, as would be contained with the deck of cards as delivered to customers in the marketplace.
Type of Cards Positive and Negative CardsA positive point card has a face value of the number it displays. There are 33 positive point cards. 3 sets numbering 1-10. 2 cards that have the number 16. 1 card that has the number 21.
A negative point card has a negative face value of the number it displays. There are 22 negative cards. 1 set numbering 1-20. There are 3 cards with the number 13.
Mercy and Wrath CardsA mercy card has the power to remove the highest negative card a player has at the end of the round. Any additional mercy card will be used to remove the next highest negative card the player has. There are 8 Mercy Cards in the deck.
A wrath card has the power to remove the highest positive card a player has at the end of the round. Any additional wrath card will be used to remove the next highest positive card the player has. There are 4 Wrath Cards in the deck.
Indicator CardsMine/Yours
The Indicator card indicates the intention of the draw player (person who looks at the card). The player puts the “Mine” side of the card face up to indicate they want the card.
The player puts the “Yours” side of the card face up to indicate they don't want the card.
The Indicator card indicates the intention of the judge player (person who decides which player takes possession of the card).
There are 6 Indicator Cards in the deck, 1 for each player.
In total there are 73 cards in a deck of Nineveh Cards.
Rules of PlayA 2-6 player game.
Establish order of play.
After the deck is shuffled, the first 7 cards are removed from the deck unseen.
The first player is the draw player. The draw player looks at the top card of the deck. Only the draw player can see this card.
The draw player uses the indicator card to indicate his/her intention to keep or not to keep the card.
The judge player is the next player in the order of play.
The judge player and only the judge player can decide to take possession of the draw card or force the draw player to take possession of the draw card.
In games of 3 players or more the draw player draws against the next player in the order of play. That next player becomes the judge player. The draw player will draw against each player one time, then the turn is over.
The next player in the order of play becomes the new draw player.
Each player takes his/her turn until all cards are exhausted.
When all cards are exhausted, the round is over.
ScoringPlayer can play one round or more if he/she wishes.
All mercy cards are used at the end of the round.
The mercy card is used to eliminate the highest negative point card the player has.
All wrath cards are used at the end of the round.
The wrath card is used to eliminate the highest positive point card the player has.
All positive point cards are added. The total of all negative cards are added.
All negative points are subtracted from the positive point total.
The remaining point total is that player's score for the round or the game if it's a one round game.
A player can have a positive or negative score.
The player with the highest positive point total wins the game.
Elimination TournamentIn a variation of a game of more than two players.
The player with the lowest score at the end of the round is eliminated from play.
The remaining players play on until only two players remain.
The two players play one round to decide the winner.
With the above count, there are 22 red cards with a total point count of 236 averaging approximately 11 points per card.
The blue cards total 33 in number with a total point count of 218 with an average point count per card of about 7. Thus, while the red or negative cards are less in number than the blue or positive cards, the total point count of the red cards is 236, and the average point per card is 11. The blue cards, however, while greater in number, have a lesser point count and a lesser average point per card.
Note that the Wrath or penalty cards are 4 in number while the Mercy cards are 8 in number. This is an attempt to balance the higher total point count of the red cards; i.e., 236 to the lower total point count of the blue cards 218.

The game proceeds with a center deck 24 from which seven cards 25 are buried prior to the initiation of the game. The game begins with player 22 engaged with player 20, and proceeds with player 22 drawing against player 21 next.
The game begins with player 22 drawing a card from deck 24 and without showing it to player 20 or player 21 shows a Mine/Yours card 28 to player 20, and in response, player 20, guessing whether player 22 is, bluffing or not with the face direction of card 28, indicates to player 22 with Mine side of card 27 pointed at player 22 indicating that player 20 wants player 22 to give player 20 drawn card 23.

After that turn has expired, player 22, since she has already drawn against players 20 and 21, passes the deck to player 20. Player 20 than proceeds to draw from deck 24, and indicates with Mine/Yours card 27 to player 21, whether player 20 desires to keep or refuse the drawn card. Then player 21 indicates with card 35 whether player 21 wants player 20's drawn card or not, which determines where the drawn card goes.
Player 20 then draws against player 22 and after that is complete, the deck passes to player 21, who draws first against player 22 and second against player 20. This process continues until the game is completed with the expiration of the deck cards, at which time scoring proceeds where the Mercy cards are deducted from the highest point negative cards or red cards 30, and the Wrath cards 31 are deducted from the high point blue cards 30. Each of the players completes his or her own scoring and the highest point player wins the game or the particular round, and another round begins with a re-shuffle of the deck 24 and a burying of 7 cards 25.

A bluffing card game where a first player draws a card from a deck and indicates to a second player whether the first player desires to keep or transfer that card to the second player and then the second player either keeps or refuses that card and at games end calculating the highest point count the game winner, that uses a non standard deck of cards where the point value of the cards does not change including a deck of cards for the bluffing card game for two or more players as defined in claim 9, wherein the deck has a fixed number of positive and negative cards.

A bluffing card game where a first player draws a card from a deck and indicates to a second player whether the first player desires to keep or transfer that card to the second player and then the second player either keeps or refuses that card and at games end calculating the highest point count the game winner, that uses a non standard deck of cards where the point value of the cards does not change including a deck of cards for the bluffing card game for two or more players as defined in claim 1, wherein there are 33 positive cards in the deck and 22 negative cards in the deck.

A bluffing card game where a first player draws a card from a deck and indicates to a second player whether the first player desires to keep or transfer that card to the second player and then the second player either keeps or refuses that card and at games end calculating the highest point count the game winner, that uses a non standard deck of cards where the point value of the cards does not change including a deck of cards for the bluffing card game for two or more players as defined in claim 6, wherein the positive cards each have a point value and the point total of the positive cards is 218, and the negative cards each have a point value and the point total of the negative cards is 236.

A bluffing card game where a first player draws a card from a deck and indicates to a second player whether the first player desires to keep or transfer that card to the second player and then the second player either keeps or refuses that card and at games end calculating the highest point count the game winner, that uses a non standard deck of cards where the point value of the cards does not change including a deck of cards for a bluffing card game for two or more players as defined in claim 9, wherein there are 4 penalty cards each having a point value in the deck and about 8 relief cards each having a point value in the deck.

A bluffing card game where a first player draws a card from a deck and indicates to a second player whether the first player desires to keep or transfer that card to the second player and then the second player either keeps or refuses that card and at games end calculating the highest point count the game winner, that uses a non standard deck of cards where the point value of the cards does not change comprising: a deck of cards for the bluffing card game for two or more player: said deck having means for determining a final negative point count at the end of the game including a plurality of negative cards having indicia thereon signifying a point count, each and all of said negative cards having a fixed point count thereon, and means for determining a fixed positive count at the end of the game including a plurality of positive cards separate from the negative cards having indicia thereon signifying a point count, each and all of said positive cards having a fixed point count thereon, with the game beginning with a draw by a first player from the deck, said first player indicating to a second or judge player whether the first player desires to keep the drawn card or transfer it to the second player, and then the second player indicating to the first player whether the second player refuses or accepts the drawn card, wherein the deck also includes a plurality of penalty cards separate from the positive and negative cards each having a point value to be deducted from a player's total point count, and a plurality of relief cards separate from the positive, negative and penalty cards, said penalty and relief cards being used to adjust the point count total of the positive and negative cards.

A bluffing card game where a first player draws a card from a deck and indicates to a second player whether the first player desires to keep or transfer that card to the second player and then the second player either keeps or refuses that card and at games end calculating the highest point count the game winner, that uses a non standard deck of cards where the point value of the cards does not change including a deck of cards for the bluffing card game for two or more players as defined in claim 9, wherein the first player's turn, and in succession the other players' turns, includes drawing a card against each other player at the table in predetermined order after which the draw rotates to the second player in order and the second player's turn begins by drawing a card against the next player in order, and the game or round ends when the deck is exhausted.

A bluffing card game where a first player draws a card from a deck and indicates to a second player whether the first player desires to keep or transfer that card to the second player and then the second player either keeps or refuses that card and at games end calculating the highest point count the game winner, that uses a non standard deck of cards where the point value of the cards does not change comprising: a deck of cards for the bluffing card game for two or more players, a deck having means for determining a fixed negative point count at the end of the game includinga plurality of negative cards having indicia thereon signifying a point count, each and all of said negative cards having a fixed point count thereon, and means for determining a fixed positive point count at the end of the game including a plurality of positive cards separate from the negative cards having indicia thereof signifying a point count, each and all of said positive cards having a fixed point count thereon, with the game beginning with a draw by a first player from the deck, said first player indicating to a second or judge player whether the first player desires to keep the drawn card or transfer it to the second player, and then the second player indicating to the first player whether the second player refuses or accepts the drawn card, wherein each of the positive cards has a face value and each of the negative cards has a face value and the deck of cards also includes a plurality of penalty cards each having a negative point value, and a plurality of relief cards [each having a positive point value that are drawn from the deck in the same manner as the positive and negative cards], said penalty and relief cards being used to adjust the point total of the positive and negative cards, wherein the first player's turn, and in succession the other players' turns, includes drawing a card against each other player at the table in predetermined order after which the draw rotates to the second player in order and the second player's turn begins by drawing a card against the next player in order, and the game or round ends when the deck is exhausted.
