COVER FOR GLASS

A cover for glasses, for example for glasses in shape of goblet or the like. The cover allows it to adopt a condition of fitting on the glass in which it covers at least partly the glass and, by means of its shape and/or its structural features, it is able to keep oneself in the fitting condition. Moreover, the cover, in this fitting condition, allows the visibility of the drink contained in the glass, if the glass is at least partly transparent.

Description

Described is a cover for glasses, for example for glasses in shape of goblet or the like. The cover allows it to adopt a condition of fitting on the glass in which it covers at least partly the glass and, by means of its shape and/or its structural features, it is able to keep oneself in the fitting condition. Moreover, the cover, in this fitting condition, allows the visibility of the drink contained in the glass, if the glass is at least partly transparent.

As is known, the glasses in the form of a goblet or the like are normally used for drinking cool drinks (in particular wine) during parties, receptions and meetings. During these occasions one talks with the other people whilst holding the goblet in one's hand and sipping the drink and, therefore, the temperature of the drink gradually increases so much so that sometimes the drink become no longer drinkable. Moreover, the handgrip of the goblet may, over time, not be completely effective because with the variation in temperature it could become slippery on account of the sweat transmitted from the user's hand.

The aim of the invention is to provide a cover for glasses which overcomes these drawbacks.

Another aim of this invention is to provide a system for providing drinks or beverages which overcome these drawbacks. The system for providing drinks or beverages according to this invention comprises a cover according to this invention and a glass.

The features of a cover according to this invention and of a system for providing drinks or beverages according to this invention will become clearer from the following detailed and not limitative description of respective preferred embodiments of a cover according to this invention and of a system for providing drinks or beverages according to this invention.

Numeral 1 in FIGS. 1 to 6 denotes a preferred embodiment of a cover in accordance with the invention. A glass for which the cover 1 may be used is indicated in FIGS. 7 and 8 with B. The glass B is for containing a drink or beverage.

The cover 1 is for covering and/or coating at least partly the glass B. The cover 1 is for covering and/or coating at least partly the glass and simultaneously at least partly or totally thermally insulating the glass B and/or the drink or beverage in the glass B.

A preferred embodiment of a system for providing or administering a drink or beverage according to this invention comprises the cover 1 and the glass B.

The cover 1 comprises a wall 11.

The wall 11 is at least partly or totally thermally insulating. For this purpose, the wall 11 comprises and/or is made of at least one material with certain properties and/or features. The at least one material has certain properties in terms of thermal insulation. The at least one material is preferably thermally insulating. The at least one material may have certain surface features or properties in terms of roughness and/or friction. The at least one material may have certain structural features or properties in terms of flexibility/rigidity, in such a way as to be elastically deformable.

The wall 11 defines a cavity 110. The cavity 110 is designed to receive the glass B. The cover 1 is configured in such a way that the glass B can adopt an inserted position of the glass B in the cavity 110. When the glass B adopts the inserted position, the glass B is inserted in the cavity 110 defined by the wall 11.

The glass B can adopt a not inserted position. When the glass adopts the not inserted position, the glass B is not inserted in the cavity 110. In FIGS. 9 to 14, the glass B adopts the inserted position. In FIGS. 7 and 8, the glass B adopts the not inserted position.

The wall 11 stably adopts a non-deformed configuration. In FIGS. 1 to 6 and in FIGS. 9 to 14 the wall 11 is in the non-deformed configuration. When it is in the non-deformed configuration, the wall 11 is shaped in such a way as to reproduce the outside shape of at least a part of the glass B. In this way, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, the wall 11 coats and/or cover said at least a part of the glass B.

The wall 11 retakes substantially said outer shape of the said at least a part of the glass B, in order to be designed to coat said at least a part of the glass B.

The wall 11 may adopt a condition of fitting on the glass B. The condition of fitting of the wall 11 on the glass B can be defined a fitting condition of the wall 11.

When the wall 11 adopts the fitting condition, the glass B adopts the inserted position.

The wall 11 may adopt a condition of not fitting on the glass B. The condition of not fitting of the wall 11 on the glass B can be defined a not fitting condition of the wall 11.

When the wall 11 adopts the not fitting condition, the glass B adopts the not inserted position.

The wall 11 in FIGS. 1 to 6 adopts the not fitting condition.

The wall 11 in FIGS. 9-14 adopts the fitting condition.

The fitting condition of the wall 11 corresponds to the inserted position of the glass B. The not fitting condition of the wall 11 corresponds to the not inserted position of the glass B.

The wall 11 has at least one opening 11a. The opening 11a allows the glass B to move from the not inserted position to the inserted position by a first passage of the glass B through the opening 11a. The opening 11a allows the glass B to move from the inserted position to the not inserted position by a second passage of the glass through the opening 11a.

The wall 11, by means of the structural features of the above mentioned at least one material, is elastically deformable in order to be able to adopt a first deformed configuration. The first deformed configuration is not shown in the accompanying drawings. When the wall 11 adopts the first deformed configuration, the wall 11 allows the first passage of the glass B through the opening 11a.

The wall 11 is configured, when the glass B has been subjected to the first passage and adopts the inserted position, to be subjected to a first elastic return movement. The first elastic return movement of the wall 11 is a movement of the wall 11 from the first deformed configuration of the wall 11 towards the non-deformed configuration of the wall 11. The first elastic return movement may be a movement of the wall 11 from the above-mentioned first deformed configuration of the wall 11 to the above-mentioned non-deformed configuration of the wall 11. The first elastic return movement may be in a snap-on fashion.

In this way, when the glass B is in the inserted position, the wall 11 tends elastically to adopt the non-deformed configuration.

A user can make the glass B to move from the non-inserted position to the inserted position, exerting on the glass B and on the wall 11 a suitable system of forces which contrasts the elastic resistance which the wall 11 opposes to the above mentioned first passage of the glass through the opening 11a.

These structural features of the above mentioned at least one material are such that the wall 11 tends to elastically move towards and/or maintain its non-deformed configuration.

When the wall 11 adopts the fitting condition, the wall 11, by means of the shape of the wall 11 in the non-deformed configuration and/or by means of the structural features of the above-mentioned at least one material of the wall 11, exerts a locking action on the glass B. The locking action keeps the glass B in the inserted position. From another point of view, the glass B also exerts the locking action on the wall 11, and ensures that the wall 11 remains in the fitting condition. The fitting condition of fitting the wall 11 corresponds in effect to the inserted position of the glass B. The locking action can be considered as a gripping or retaining action exchanged between the wall 11 and the glass B.

The shape of the wall 11 in its non-deformed configuration is such that the wall 11, when it adopts the fitting condition, at least partly surrounds the said at least a part of the glass B.

The wall 11, by means of the structural features of the above mentioned at least one material, is elastically deformable in order to be able to adopt a second deformed configuration. The second deformed configuration is not shown in the accompanying drawings. When the wall 11 adopts the second deformed configuration, the wall 11 allows the above mentioned second passage of the glass B through the opening 11a.

The wall 11 is configured, when the glass B has been subjected to the second passage and adopts the not inserted position, to be subjected to a second elastic return movement. The second elastic return movement of the wall 11 is a movement of the wall 11 from the second deformed configuration of the wall 2 towards the non-deformed configuration of the wall 11. The second elastic return movement may be a movement of the wall 11 from the above-mentioned second deformed configuration of the wall 11 to the above-mentioned non-deformed configuration of the wall 11. The second elastic return movement may be in a snap-on fashion.

In this way, when the glass B adopts the not inserted position, the wall 11 adopts the non-deformed configuration.

In this way, when the wall 11 adopts the not fitting condition, the wall 11 stably adopts the non-deformed configuration.

A user can make the glass B to move from the inserted position to the not inserted position, exerting on the glass B and on the wall 11 a suitable system of forces which contrasts the elastic resistance which the wall 11 opposes to the above mentioned second passage of the glass B.

The first deformed configuration could be similar or coincident with the second deformed configuration. In this case, the first elastic return movement is similar or equal to the second elastic return movement.

The glass B defines an axis Z of the glass B.

The Z axis might be an axis of symmetry of the glass B.

The glass B has an outer surface 10 of the glass B. The outer surface 10 of the glass B can be considered as a lateral outer surface 10 of the glass B.

The outer shape of the above-mentioned at least a part of the glass B is defined by at least a part of the outer surface 10.

The above-mentioned outer surface 10 of the glass B has a longitudinal extension along the axis Z of the glass B. In this application, the fact that any object has a longitudinal extension along a predetermined axis means that it is possible to define an extension of the respective object along a direction parallel to the predetermined axis. The above-mentioned outer surface 10 of the glass B has an angular extension about the axis Z of the glass B. In this application, the fact that any object has an angular extension about a predetermined axis means that it is possible to define an extension of the respective object along a curve situated around the predetermined axis.

The wall 11 of the cover 1 defines a longitudinal axis X. The wall 11 has a longitudinal extension along the longitudinal axis X. The wall 11 has an angular extension about the longitudinal axis X.

The longitudinal axis X, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, coincides with the axis Z of the glass B.

The wall 11 of the cover 1 is shaped, along the above mentioned extensions of the wall 11, in such a way that, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, the wall 11 coats the above-mentioned at least a part of the outside surface 10 of the glass.

The opening 11a of the wall 11 extends along a sector of the angular extension of the wall 11. Thus, the opening 11a of the wall 11 can be considered as a lateral opening 11a of the wall 11. This sector of the angular extension of the wall 11 is positioned in such a way that the opening 11a leaves uncovered and/or uncoated, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, a corresponding sector 10a of the angular extension of the outer surface 10 of the glass B.

The lateral opening 11a extends along the entire above-mentioned longitudinal extension of the wall 11.

The glass B comprises a cup-shaped body B1 for containing a drink or beverage. The cup-shaped body B1 is so called because it could have approximately the shape of a cup.

The wall 11 comprises a cup-shaped portion 111. The cup-shaped portion 111 is so called because it could have approximately the shape of a cup.

The cup-shaped portion 111 is at least partly or totally thermally insulating. For this purpose, the cup-shaped portion 111 comprises and/or is made of the above-mentioned at least one material.

When the wall 11 is in the non-deformed configuration, the cup-shaped portion 111 is shaped in such a way as to reproduce the outer shape of at least a part of the cup-shaped body B1. In this way, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, the cup-shaped portion 111 covers and/or coats said at least a part of the cup-shaped body B1.

The cup-shaped portion 111 defines at least a first part of the cavity 110. When the glass B adopts the inserted position, the at least a part of the cup-shaped body B1 of the glass B is inserted into said first part of the cavity 110.

The cup-shaped portion 111 retakes substantially said outer shape of said at least a part of the cup-shaped body B1, in order to be designed to coat said at least a part of the cup-shaped body B1.

The outer surface 10 of the glass comprises the outer surface 101 of the cup-shaped body B1. The outer surface 101 of the cup-shaped body B1 can be considered as a lateral outer surface 101 of the cup-shaped body B1.

The outer shape of said at least a part of the cup-shaped body B1 is defined by at least a part of the outer surface 101 of the cup-shaped body B1.

The outer surface 101 of the cup-shaped body B1 has a longitudinal extension along the axis Z of the glass B. The outer surface 101 of the cup-shaped body B1 has an angular extension about the axis Z of the glass B.

The cup-shaped portion 111 has a longitudinal extension along the longitudinal axis X. The cup-shaped portion 111 has an angular extension about the longitudinal axis X.

The cup-shaped portion 111 is shaped, along the above extensions of the cup-shaped portion 111 in such a way that, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, the cup-shaped portion 111 coats said at least a part of the outer surface 101 of the cup-shaped body B1.

The cup-shaped portion 111 has an opening 111a. The opening 111a of the cup-shaped portion 111 corresponds to at least a first portion of the opening 11a of the wall 11. The opening 11a of the wall 11 comprises the opening 111a of the cup-shaped portion 111 of the wall 11.

The opening 111a of the cup-shaped portion 111 extends along a sector of the angular extension of the cup-shaped portion 111. Thus, the opening 111a of the cup-shaped portion 111 can be considered as a lateral opening 111a of the cup-shaped portion 111. This sector of the angular extension of the cup-shaped portion 111 is positioned in such a way that the opening 111a of the cup shaped portion 111 leaves uncovered and/or uncoated, when the glass B adopts the inserted position in the cavity 110, a corresponding sector 101a of the angular extension of the above-mentioned at least a part of the outer surface 101 of the cup-shaped body B1.

The opening 111a of the cup-shaped portion 111 extends along the entire above-mentioned longitudinal extension of the cup-shaped portion 111.

Cooling means may be inserted in the cup-shaped portion 111 which are able to determine an endothermic reaction for thermally conditioning the drink or beverage contained in the cup-shaped body B1 of the glass B.

The above mentioned first passage and second passage of the glass B through the opening 11 comprises respectively a first passage and a second passage of said at least a part of the cup-shaped body B1 through the opening 111a of the cup-shaped portion 111.

The glass B comprises a stem B2.

The cup-shaped body B1 and the stem B2 of the glass are positioned one after the other along the axis Z of the glass B. The stem B2 is so called because it could have approximately the shape of a stem.

The wall 11 comprises a sleeve portion 112. The sleeve portion 112 is so called because it could have approximately the shape of a sleeve.

The cup-shaped portion 111 and the sleeve portion 112 are preferably a single body. The sleeve portion 112 could be alternatively a body separate from the cup-shaped portion 111.

The cup-shaped portion 111 extends from the sleeve portion 112.

The sleeve portion 112 is at least partly or totally thermally insulating. For this purpose, the sleeve portion 112 comprises and/or is made of the above-mentioned at least one material.

The cup-shaped portion and the sleeve portion 112 are positioned one after the other along the longitudinal axis X.

When the wall 11 is in the non-deformed configuration, the sleeve portion 112 is shaped in such a way as to reproduce the outer shape of at least a part of the stem B2. In this way, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, the sleeve portion 112 covers and/or coats the at least a part of the stem B2.

The sleeve portion 112 defines at least a second part of the cavity 110. When the glass B adopts the inserted position, the at least a part of the stem B2 of the glass B is inserted into said second part of the cavity 110.

The sleeve portion 112 retakes substantially the outer shape of said at least a part of the stem B2, in order to be designed to coat said at least a part of the stem B2.

The outer surface 10 of the glass comprises the outer surface 102 of the stem B2. The outer surface 102 of the stem B2 can be considered as a lateral outer surface 102 of the stem B2.

The outer shape of said at least a part of the stem B2 is defined by at least a part of the outer surface 102 of the stem B2.

The outer surface 102 of the stem B2 has a longitudinal extension along the axis Z of the glass B. The outer surface 102 of the stem B2 has an angular extension about the axis Z of the glass B.

The sleeve portion 112 has a longitudinal extension along the longitudinal axis X. The sleeve portion 112 has an angular extension about the longitudinal axis X.

The sleeve portion 112 is shaped, along the above extensions of the sleeve portion 112 in such a way that, when the glass adopts the inserted position, the sleeve portion 112 coats said at least a part of the outer surface 102 of the stem B2.

The sleeve portion 112 has an opening 112a. The opening 112a of the sleeve portion 112 corresponds to at least a second portion of the opening 11a of the wall 11. The opening 11a of the wall 11 comprises the opening 112a of the sleeve portion 112. The opening 112a is located in continuity with the opening 111a of the cup-shaped portion 111.

The opening 112a of the sleeve portion 112 extends along a sector of the angular extension of the sleeve portion 112. Thus, the opening 112a of the sleeve portion 112 can be considered as a lateral opening 112a of the sleeve portion 112. This sector of the angular extension of the sleeve portion 112 is positioned in such a way that the opening 112a of the sleeve portion 112 leaves uncovered and/or uncoated, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, a corresponding sector 102a of the angular extension of the above-mentioned at least a part of the outer surface 102 of the stem B2.

The lateral opening 112a of the sleeve portion 112 extends along the entire above-mentioned longitudinal extension of the sleeve portion 112.

It should be noted that also the cup-shaped portion 111 could also be considered to be a sleeve having a diameter which varies in such a way that the cup-shaped portion 111 reproduces the outer shape of the coated part of the cup-shaped body B1.

The above mentioned first passage and second passage of the glass B through the opening 11a comprises respectively a first passage and a second passage of said at least a part of the stem B2 through the opening 112a of the sleeve portion 112.

The glass B comprises a base B3. The base B3 is used for resting the glass B on a supporting surface. The base may have a disc shape.

The stem B2 is interposed between the base B3 and the cup-shaped body B1 of the glass B.

The base B3, the stem B2 and the cup-shaped body B1 of the glass B are located one after the other along the axis Z of the glass B.

The wall 11 comprises a disc portion 113. The disc portion 113 is thus called because it could have approximately the shape of a disc.

The cup-shaped portion 111, the sleeve portion 112, and the disc portion 113 are preferably a single body. The disc portion 13 could be alternatively a body separate from the sleeve portion 112 and/or the cup-shaped portion 111.

The disc portion 113 extends from the sleeve portion 112 and from the opposite side of the sleeve portion 112 relative to the cup-shaped portion 111.

The disc portion 113 is at least partly or totally thermally insulating. For this purpose, the disc portion 113 comprises and/or is made of the above-mentioned at least one material.

The cup-shaped portion 111, the sleeve portion 112, and the disc portion 113 are positioned one after the other along the longitudinal axis X.

When the wall 11 is in the non-deformed configuration, the disc portion 113 is shaped in such a way as to reproduce the outer shape of at least a part of the base B3. In this way, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, the disc portion 113 covers and/or coats said at least a part of the base B3 of the glass B.

The disc-portion 113 retakes substantially the same outer shape of the coated at least a part of the base B3, in order to be designed to coat said at least a part of the base B3.

The outer surface 10 of the glass B comprises an outer surface 103 of the base B3. The outer surface 103 of the base B3 can be considered as a lateral outer surface 103 of the base B3.

The outer shape of said at least a part of the base B3 is defined by at least a part of the outer surface 103 of the base B3.

The outer surface 103 of the base B3 has at least an angular extension about the axis Z of the glass B.

The disc portion 113 has at least an angular extension about the longitudinal axis X.

The disc portion 113 is shaped, along the angular extension of the disc portion 113, in such a way that, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, the disc portion 113 coats said at least a part of the outer surface 103 of the base B3.

The disc portion 113 has an opening 113a. The opening 113a of the disc portion 113 corresponds to at least a third portion of the opening 11a of the wall 11. The lateral opening 11a of the wall 11 comprises the opening 113a of the disc portion 113 of the wall 11. The opening 113a of the disc portion 113 is located in continuity with the opening 112a of the sleeve portion 112.

The opening 113a of the disc portion 113 extends along a sector of the angular extension of the disc portion 113. Thus, the opening 113a of the disc portion 113 can be considered as a lateral opening 113a of the disc portion 113. This sector of the angular extension of the disc portion 113 is positioned in such a way that the opening 113a of the disc portion 113 leaves uncovered and/or uncoated, when the glass B adopts the inserted position, a corresponding sector 103a of the angular extension of the above-mentioned at least a part of the outer surface 103 of the base B3.

The lateral opening 113a of the disc portion 113 extends along the entire above-mentioned longitudinal extension of the disc portion 113.

The outer surface 103 of the base B3 could also have a longitudinal extension along the axis Z of the glass B.

The disc portion 113 could also have a longitudinal extension along the longitudinal axis X.

In this case, the disc portion 113 is shaped, also along the longitudinal extension of the disc portion 113, in such a way that, when the glass adopts the inserted position, the disc portion 113 coats the at least a part of the outer surface 103 of the base B3.

The above mentioned first passage and second passage of the glass B through the opening 11a comprises respectively a first passage and a second passage of said at least a part of the base B3 through the opening 113a of the disc portion 113.

When the glass B adopts the inserted position in the cavity 110, the wall 11 is able to keep oneself in the fitting condition. This is thanks to the shape of the wall 11 and/or the structural features in terms of rigidity/flexibility of the at least one thermally insulating material with which the wall 11 is made. The wall 11 is able to keep oneself in the fitting condition thanks also to the fact that the return elasticity of the wall 11 is such that the sleeve portion 112 exerts a first pressure action and/or a second pressure action. The first pressure action is exerted by the sleeve portion 112 on the cup-shaped portion 111. The first pressure action is exerted in opposition to the cup-shaped body B1, in the sense that the first pressure action presses at least partly the cup-shaped portion 111 against the cup-shaped body B1 of the glass B. The second pressure action is exerted by the sleeve portion 112 on the disc portion 113. The second pressure action is applied in opposition to the base B3, in the sense that the second pressure action presses at least partly the disc portion 113 against the base B3 of the glass B.

The first pressure action and the second pressure action may be considered part of the above-mentioned locking action which is exchanged between the glass B and the wall 11, when the wall 11 adopts the above-mentioned fitting condition.

The main direction of the first pressure action is indicated by the first arrow F1 of FIG. 11. The main direction of the second pressure action is indicated by the second arrow F2 of FIG. 11.

In order for the wall 11 to adopt the above-mentioned fitting condition, the cup-shaped portion 111 is pressed against the cup-shaped body B1 of the glass B until the above-mentioned at least a part of the cup-shaped body B1 enters at least partly in the above mentioned first part of the cavity 110 defined by the cup shaped portion 111.

The user then presses the sleeve portion 112 against the stem B2 of the glass B until all the above-mentioned at least a part of the cup-shaped body B1 is totally inside the above-mentioned first part of the cavity 110, and until the above-mentioned at least a part of the stem B2 is totally inside the above-mentioned second part of the cavity 110.

At this point the wall 11 has adopted the fitting condition.

The locking action exchanged between the wall 11 and the glass B in the fitting condition of the wall 11 preferably also prevents a possible rotation of the wall 11 relative to the glass B and about the axis of the glass Z, which in this fitting condition coincides with the longitudinal axis X of the wall 11.

Any machining tolerances of the wall 11 and/or of the glass B could reduce the locking action exchanged between the wall 11 and the glass B. For this reason, the cover 11 might comprise at least one additional elastic element which, when the wall adopts the fitting condition, is interposed between the wall 11 and the glass B.

FIG. 14 shows a longitudinal cross section of a possible further embodiment of cover in accordance with the invention. The further embodiment is indicated by numeral 1′. In this further embodiment, the cover 1′ comprises at least one first elastic element K1. The first elastic element K1, when the wall 11 adopts the fitting condition, is interposed between the disc portion 113 and the base B3 of the glass B. In this further embodiment, the cover 1′ comprises a second elastic element K2. The second elastic element K2, when the wall 11 adopts the fitting condition, is interposed between a transition area of the wall 11 and a transition area of the glass B. The transition area of the wall 11 is a transition area between the sleeve portion 112 and the cup-shaped portion 111. The transition area of the glass B is a transition area between the stem B2 and the cup-shaped body B1 of the glass B.

The first elastic element K1 and/or the second elastic element K2 might be a seal and/or be at least partly annular in shape. The first elastic element K1 and/or the second elastic element K2 might be made, for example, of silicone.

FIG. 14a shows an enlargement of the area where the first elastic element K1 is situated. FIG. 14a shows that the first elastic element K1 is interposed between the disc portion 113 of the wall 11 and the base B3 of the glass B.

FIG. 14b shows an enlargement of the area where the second elastic element K2 is situated. FIG. 14b shows that the second elastic element K2 is interposed between the above-mentioned transition area of the glass B and the above-mentioned transition area of the wall 11.

The elastic elements K1 and K2 produce a “precise elasticity” of the cover 1 at predetermined points of the wall 11, whilst the structural features of the above-mentioned at least one material of the wall 11 result in a “distributed elasticity” of the cover 1.

The additional elastic elements render more secure the seal of the wall 11 on the glass B, increasing the above-mentioned locking action exchanged between glass B and the wall 11, for example in order to compensate for machining tolerances and/or imprecisions of the wall 11 and/or of the glass B, which could determine, when the wall 11 adopts the fitting condition, excessive clearances between the wall 11 and the glass B.

In this fitting condition of the wall 11, the wall 11 covers at least partly the glass and, through the above-mentioned characteristics in terms of thermal insulation of the above-mentioned at least one material, allows an at least partial (or total) thermal insulation of the drink contained in the glass. In this fitting condition of the wall 11, the wall 11 covers at least partly the glass and defines, by its shape, also a grip for moving the glass B by the user, in such a way as to reduce, by means of the above-mentioned surface features of the at least one material, the above-mentioned problems due to the slipperiness of the grip of the glass B. The grip defined from the wall 11 is in particular defined by the cup-shaped portion 111 and/or, if necessary, at least partly also by the sleeve portion 112.

Moreover, the wall 11, by the shape of the wall 11 and the above-mentioned structural features of the at least one material, is able to remain stably in the fitting condition, without it being necessary to use additional retaining systems designed to retain the wall 11 in the fitting condition. Moreover, the wall 11, by the shape of the wall 11 and the above-mentioned structural features of the at least one material, is able to remain stably in the fitting condition, also if the opening 11a of the wall, and in particular the first portion 111a of the opening 11a, is relatively large.

In this way, considering that the glass B could be at least partly or totally transparent, the opening 11a of the wall 11, and in particular the first portion 111a of the opening 11a, may be sufficiently large to allow the drink or beverage contained in the glass B to be seen, through the first portion 111a of the opening 11a, whilst retaining the functionalities of thermal insulation and/or reduction of slipperiness as mentioned above. The opening 11a of the wall 11, and in particular the first portion 111a of the opening 11a, may be sufficiently large also to allow to see well a possible image printed on the outer surface 101 of the cup shaped body B1.

The cover 1 may be used on glasses for example in the form of a goblet, or on glasses of other types.

Claims

1. A cover for a glass for containing a beverage, the cover comprising a coating wall which defines a cavity designed to receives the glass, wherein: the wall being shaped in the non-deformed condition, in such a way that, in the fitting condition, the wall keeps the glass locked in the inserted position.

the wall stably adopts a non-deformed configuration in which it is shaped so as to reproduce the outside shape of at least a part of the glass, in such a way that, in an inserted position of the glass in the cavity, the wall coats said at least a part of the glass;
the wall has a side opening which allows the glass to move from a non-inserted position relative to the cavity to the inserted position by passing of the glass through the opening;
the wall is at least partly thermally insulating;
the wall is elastically deformable to allow said passing of the glass through the opening;
the wall is configured for elastically returning to the non-deformed configuration in such a way that, in the inserted position of the glass, the wall adopts a condition of fitting on the glass;

2. The cover for glasses according to claim 1, wherein:

the outside shape of said part of the glass is defined by at least a part of an outer surface of the glass;
the glass defines an axis of the glass, the outer surface of the glass having a longitudinal extension along the axis of the glass and an angular extension about the axis of the glass;
the wall defines a longitudinal axis, in such a way that the wall has a longitudinal extension along the longitudinal axis and an angular extension about the longitudinal axis, the longitudinal axis, in the inserted position of the glass, coinciding with the axis of the glass;
the wall is shaped, along said extensions of the wall, in such a way that, in the inserted position of the glass in the cavity, the wall coats said at least a part of the outer surface of the glass.

3. The cover for glasses according to claim 2, wherein the lateral opening extends along a sector of the angular extension of the wall in such a way as to leave uncovered, in the inserted condition of the glass in the cavity, a corresponding sector of the angular extension of said at least a part of the outer surface of the glass.

4. The cover for glasses according to claim 3, wherein the lateral opening extends along the entire the longitudinal extension of the wall.

5. The cover for glasses according to claim 4, wherein the glass comprises, along the axis of the glass: wherein the wall comprises a cup-shaped portion which, in the non-deformed condition of the wall, reproduces the outer shape of at least a part of the cup-shaped body, in such a way that, in the inserted position of the glass in the cavity, the cup-shaped portion coats said at least a part of the cup-shaped body.

6. The cover for glasses according to claim 5, wherein:

the cup-shaped portion has a lateral opening corresponding to at least a first portion of the lateral opening of the wall;
the outer surface of the glass comprises an outer surface of the cup-shaped body, the outer shape of said at least a part of the cup-shaped body being defined by at least a part of the outer surface of the cup-shaped body;
the outer surface of the cup-shaped body has a longitudinal extension along the axis of the glass and an angular extension about the axis of the glass;
the cup-shaped portion has a longitudinal extension along said longitudinal axis and an angular extension about said longitudinal axis;
the cup-shaped portion is shaped, along the extensions of the cup-shaped portion, in such a way that, in the inserted position of the glass in the cavity, the cup-shaped portion coats said at least a part of the outer surface of the cup-shaped body;
the lateral opening of the cup-shaped portion extends along a sector of the angular extension of the cup-shaped portion in such a way as to leave uncovered, in the inserted condition of the glass in the cavity, a corresponding sector of the angular extension of said at least a part of the outer surface of the cup-shaped body.

7. The cover for glasses according to claim 6, wherein the lateral opening the cup-shaped portion extends along the entire longitudinal extension of the cup-shaped portion.

8. The cover for glasses according to claim 7,

wherein: the glass comprises a stem, the wall comprises a sleeve portion which, in the non-deformed condition, reproduces the outer shape of at least a part of the stem, in such a way that, in the inserted position of the glass in the cavity, the sleeve portion coats said at least a part of the stem.

9. The cover for glasses according to claim 8, wherein:

the sleeve portion has a lateral opening corresponding to at least a second portion of the lateral opening of the wall;
the outer surface of the glass comprises an outer surface of the stem, the outer shape of said at least a part of the stem being defined by at least a part of the outer surface of the stem;
the outer surface of the stem has a longitudinal extension along the axis of the glass and an angular extension about the axis of the glass;
the sleeve portion has a longitudinal extension along said longitudinal axis and an angular extension about said longitudinal axis;
the sleeve portion is shaped, along said extensions of the sleeve portion, in such a way that, in the inserted position of the glass in the cavity, the sleeve portion coats said at least a part of the outer surface of the stem;
the lateral opening of the sleeve portion extends along a sector of the angular extension of the sleeve portion in such a way as to leave uncovered, in the inserted condition of the glass in the cavity, a corresponding sector of the angular extension of said at least a part of the outer surface of the stem.

10. The cover for glasses according to claim 9, wherein the lateral opening of the sleeve portion extends along the entire longitudinal extension of the sleeve portion.

11. The cover for glasses according to claim 10, wherein:

the glass comprises a base for stable resting of the glass on a supporting surface, the stem being interposed between the cup-shaped body and the base;
the wall comprises a disc portion, the sleeve portion being interposed between the disc portion and the cup-shaped portion,
the disc portion, in the non-deformed configuration, reproduces the outer shape of at least a part of the base of the glass, in such a way that, in the inserted position of the glass in the cavity, the base portion coats said at least a part of the base of the glass.

12. The cover for glasses according to claim 11, wherein:

the disc portion has a lateral opening corresponding to at least a third portion of the lateral opening of the wall;
the outer surface of the glass comprises an outer surface of the base of the glass, the outer shape of said at least a part of the base of the glass being defined by at least a part of the outer surface of the base of the glass;
the outer surface of the base has at least an angular extension about the axis of the glass;
the disc portion has at least an angular extension about the longitudinal axis;
the disc portion is shaped, at least along the angular extension of the disc portion, in such a way that, in the inserted position of the glass in the cavity, the disc portion coats said at least a part of the outer surface of the base of the glass;
the lateral opening of the disc portion extends along a sector of the angular extension of the disc portion in such a way as to leave uncovered, in the inserted condition of the glass in the cavity, a corresponding sector of the angular extension of said at least a part of the outer surface of the base of the glass.

13. The cover for glasses according to claim 12, wherein, in the inserted position of the glass in the cavity, the wall is able to keep oneself in the fitting condition thanks to a first pressure action exerted by the sleeve portion on the cup-shaped portion and a second pressure action exerted by the sleeve portion on the disc portion, the first pressure action being exerted in opposition to the cup-shaped body and the second pressure action being exerted in opposition to the base of the glass.

14. A system for providing a beverage, comprising a cover according to claim 1 and a glass, wherein:

the glass defines an axis of the glass, in such a way that an outer shape of the glass is defined by a part of the outer surface of the glass, the outer surface having a longitudinal extension along an axis of the glass and an angular extension about the axis of the glass;
a base for stable resting of the glass on a supporting surface;
a cup-shaped body for containing a drink;
a stem interposed between the base and the cup-shaped body.
the outer surface of the glass comprises an outer surface of the cup-shaped body;
the outer surface of the cup-shaped body has a longitudinal extension along the axis of the glass and an angular extension about the axis of the glass;
the outer surface of the glass comprises an outer surface of the stem;
the outer surface of the stem has a longitudinal extension along the axis of the glass and an angular extension about the axis of the glass.
