Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention

The present general inventive concept relates generally to a mouthpiece for a hookah hose, and specifically, to an improved mouthpiece for a hookah hose with a built-in filter system.

2. Description of the Related Art

Hookah smoke contains many toxins that are associated with lung cancer and other respiratory diseases. Thus, when smokers smoke hookah pipes, they are subjecting themselves not only to various long term health problems, but also to germs and bacteria that may be transferred directly from the hookah pipes.

Therefore, there is a need for a hookah mouthpiece that offers a healthy alternative that aims to reduce the risk of tar, nicotine, germ, and disease exposure for smokers while smoking a hookah pipe.

SUMMARY

The present general inventive concept provides an improved mouthpiece for a hookah hose with a built-in filter system.

Additional features and utilities of the present general inventive concept will be set forth in part in the description which follows and, in part, will be obvious from the description, or may be learned by practice of the general inventive concept.

The foregoing and/or other features and utilities of the present general inventive concept may be achieved by providing a hookah mouthpiece, including an insertion body including a hose insertion end to be inserted into a hookah hose, and a mouthpiece end disposed opposite with respect to the hose insertion end, a mouthpiece, including a mouth end to be placed into a mouth of a user while the user is smoking, and an insertion end to receive the mouthpiece end of the insertion body, and a filter cartridge to be inserted into the mouthpiece.

The hookah mouthpiece may further include a filter screen to be inserted onto at least one of the mouth end and the insertion end of the mouthpiece.

The filter cartridge may be inserted into the mouth end of the mouthpiece prior to insertion of the filter screen onto the mouth end of the mouthpiece.

The filter cartridge may be inserted into the insertion end of the mouthpiece prior to insertion of the mouthpiece end of the insertion body into the insertion end of the mouthpiece.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

These and/or other features and utilities of the present generally inventive concept will become apparent and more readily appreciated from the following description of the embodiments, taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings of which:

FIG. 1A illustrates a hookah mouthpiece, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept; and

FIG. 1B illustrates an exploded view of the hookah mouthpiece, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

Various example embodiments (a.k.a., exemplary embodiments) will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings in which some example embodiments are illustrated. In the figures, the thicknesses of lines, layers and/or regions may be exaggerated for clarity.

Accordingly, while example embodiments are capable of various modifications and alternative forms, embodiments thereof are shown by way of example in the figures and will herein be described in detail. It should be understood, however, that there is no intent to limit example embodiments to the particular forms disclosed, but on the contrary, example embodiments are to cover all modifications, equivalents, and alternatives falling within the scope of the disclosure. Like numbers refer to like/similar elements throughout the detailed description.

It is understood that when an element is referred to as being “connected” or “coupled” to another element, it can be directly connected or coupled to the other element or intervening elements may be present. In contrast, when an element is referred to as being “directly connected” or “directly coupled” to another element, there are no intervening elements present. Other words used to describe the relationship between elements should be interpreted in a like fashion (e.g., “between” versus “directly between,” “adjacent” versus “directly adjacent,” etc.).

The terminology used herein is for the purpose of describing particular embodiments only and is not intended to be limiting of example embodiments. As used herein, the singular forms “a,” “an” and “the” are intended to include the plural forms as well, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise. It will be further understood that the terms “comprises,” “comprising,” “includes” and/or “including,” when used herein, specify the presence of stated features, integers, steps, operations, elements and/or components, but do not preclude the presence or addition of one or more other features, integers, steps, operations, elements, components and/or groups thereof.

Unless otherwise defined, all terms (including technical and scientific terms) used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which example embodiments belong. It will be further understood that terms, e.g., those defined in commonly used dictionaries, should be interpreted as having a meaning that is consistent with their meaning in the context of the relevant art. However, should the present disclosure give a specific meaning to a term deviating from a meaning commonly understood by one of ordinary skill, this meaning is to be taken into account in the specific context this definition is given herein.

FIG. 1A illustrates a hookah mouthpiece 100, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept.

FIG. 1B illustrates an exploded view of the hookah mouthpiece 100, according to an exemplary embodiment of the present general inventive concept

The hookah mouthpiece 100 may be constructed from plastic, rubber, ceramic, or any other type of material known to one of ordinary skill in the art.

Referring to FIGS. 1A and 1B, the hookah mouthpiece 100 may include an insertion body 110 and a mouthpiece 120.

When the insertion body 110 is attached to the mouthpiece 120, a user may insert a hose insertion end 111 of the insertion body 110 into an end of a hookah hose that is connected to a stoked hookah. Once the hose insertion end 111 is inserted within the hookah hose that is connected to a stoked hookah, the user may insert a mouth end 121 of the mouthpiece 120 into a mouth of the user to inhale smoke from the stoked hookah.

The mouthpiece 120 may be detachable from the insertion body 110.

A mouthpiece insertion end 112 of the insertion body 110 may be inserted into an insertion end 122 of the mouthpiece 120, such that the mouthpiece 120 is attached to the insertion body 110. Alternatively, the insertion end 122 of the mouthpiece 120 may be inserted into the mouthpiece insertion end 112 of the insertion body 110.

Prior to insertion of the mouthpiece insertion end 112 of the insertion body 110 into the insertion end 122 of the mouthpiece 120, a filter cartridge 123 may be inserted into the insertion end 122 of the mouthpiece 120, thereby being disposed within the mouthpiece 120. Alternatively, the filter cartridge 123 may be inserted into the mouth end 121 of the mouthpiece 120.

The filter cartridge 123 may be any type of filter similar to a cigarette filter, such as a carbon filter, a paper filter, etc., but is not limited thereto.

A filter screen 124 may be inserted onto the mouth end 121 of the mouthpiece 120 to add additional filtration. Alternatively, or additionally, the filter screen 124 may be inserted onto the insertion end 122 of the mouthpiece 120.

Accordingly, once the hookah mouthpiece 100 is fully put together with the filter cartridge 123 and the filter screen 124, a hookah smoking session may be made to be more healthy and tasty, due to filtration properties of the hookah mouthpiece 100.

The hookah mouthpiece 100 offers a healthy alternative for smokers who enjoy smoking hookah pipes, which aims to reduce the risk of tar, nicotine, germ, and disease exposure.

Although a few embodiments of the present general inventive concept have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the general inventive concept, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
