SHOWER CURTAIN ROD ASSEMBLY
A shower curtain rod assembly includes a curved transverse rod. Two ends of the curved transverse rod are connected to two wall-mounted brackets, respectively. Each wall-mounted bracket is provided with a receiving member and an outer cover. The receiving member is used to connect the curved transverse rod and the wall-mounted bracket, and provides angular movement of the curved transverse rod. The receiving member is mounted in an accommodation space defined between the outer cover and the wall-mounted bracket. The outer cover has the function of limiting the curved transverse rod. Therefore, when a shower curtain hanging on the curved transverse rod is pulled, the shower curtain rod assembly does not generate any shake or position change of the curved transverse rod so that the stability is better.
The present invention relates to a shower curtain rod assembly, and more particularly, to a shower curtain rod assembly which has a curved transverse rod mounted to a hollow receiving member. The receiving member is fixed to a wall-mounted bracket and may be mounted with an outer cover. The shower curtain rod assembly has a better stability and can be assembled easily.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONThere are various shower curtains sold in the market. They are designed and advertised as DIY installation in use. However, due to the complexity and difficulty in installation, the operator needs to have a certain skill to complete the installation successfully. Because the structural design has some shortcomings, the overall firmness and stability is poor and its appearance is not aesthetic.
Taiwan Utility Model Reg. No. M369736 discloses a shower curtain rod assembly filed by the inventor of this application. People can quickly assemble the shower curtain assembly at home. This product is popular in the market. However, the inventor of this application found that there are some drawbacks in this case. A curved transverse rod is mounted in a receiving member having a spherical head. The receiving member is fixed in a seat and a cover is fixed on the seat to form a limit function. However, the receiving member is easily displaced by the curved transverse rod and may be swung easily and has poor stability. Accordingly, the inventor of the present invention has devoted himself based on his many years of practical experiences to solve these problems.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe primary object of the present invention is to provide a shower curtain rod assembly which has a receiving member fixed in an outer cover. The outer cover is configured to limit the movement range of the receiving member and to improve the stability of the shower curtain rod assembly.
In order to achieve the aforesaid object, the shower curtain rod assembly of the present invention comprises a curved transverse rod, two wall-mounted brackets, two receiving members, and two outer covers. Two ends of the curved transverse rod are connected to the wall-mounted brackets respectively. The wall-mounted brackets are fixed to a wall. The two wall-mounted brackets are connected with the receiving members, respectively. A center of each wall-mounted bracket is provided with a connecting portion for connection of a corresponding one of the receiving members. Each wall-mounted bracket is provided with an engaging portion for mounting a corresponding one of the outer covers. The receiving members each include a fixing portion and a coupling seat. The coupling seat is configured to receive the curved transverse rod to be locked by at least one connecting bolt. The fixing portion corresponds to the connecting portion and is fixed to the corresponding wall-mounted bracket by another connecting bolt. The two outer covers are mounted to outer sides of the wall-mounted brackets, respectively. Each of the outer covers has a central through hole and at least two engaging points at an inner edge thereof. The engaging points correspond to the engaging portion of the corresponding wall-mounted bracket. An accommodation space is formed between the outer cover and the wall-mounted bracket. The receiving member is mounted in the accommodation space. The through hole of the outer cover is capable of limiting the curved transverse rod, so that the overall structure has the advantages of easy assembly and high stability.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the two wall-mounted brackets each have a cross-shaped configuration. The connecting portion has a plurality of ribs and a protruding post. The protruding post has a connecting perforation. The coupling seat of the receiving member is buckled within the ribs. The coupling seat has a screw hole. A connecting bolt is inserted into the screw hole and the connecting perforation so that the receiving member is connected to the wall-mounted bracket.
Preferably, the engaging portion is disposed at an edge of the cross-shaped wall-mounted bracket. The engaging portion is provided with an indication mark.
Through the aforesaid structure, the present invention has the effects described hereinafter. In the present invention, the receiving member is mounted in the accommodation space between the wall-mounted bracket and the outer cover. The outer cover has the function of limiting the curved transverse rod. The gap between the outer cover and the curved transverse rod is relatively small. Therefore, when the shower curtain hanging on the curved transverse rod is pulled, the shower curtain rod assembly of the present invention does not generate any shake or position change of the curved transverse rod so that the stability is better. The outer cover may be in different colors and patterns according to the decorating manner of the bathroom. In addition, the outer cover is assembled in a slidable and snap-fit manner, which can be operated easily compared with the conventional structure.
Embodiments of the present invention will now be described, by way of example only, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
