BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION (1) Field of the Invention (2) Description of Related Art Including Information Disclosed Under 37 CFR 1.97 and 1.98The disclosure and prior art relates to bag dispensing devices and more particularly pertains to a new bag dispensing device for selectively dispensing bags.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONAn embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a housing that has a first lateral wall, a second lateral wall and a peripheral wall that extends between and is attached to the first lateral wall and the second lateral wall. The peripheral wall has a slot that extends into an interior of the housing. A dispensing unit is mounted in the housing and is actuated to selectively release bags outwardly from the interior of the housing. An actuator is mounted on the housing and is electrically coupled to the dispensing unit. The actuator is actuated to turn on the dispensing unit. A power supply is electrically coupled to the actuator. A mount is attached to the housing and is configured to engage a belt worn by a person.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A dispensing unit 24 is mounted in the housing 12 and is actuated to selectively release bags 26 outwardly from the interior 22 of the housing 12. The dispensing unit 24 comprises a motor 28. An axle 30 is mechanically coupled to the motor 28. The axle 30 rotates in a first direction when the motor 28 is turned on.
A plurality of bags 26 is included wherein each of the bags 26 is releasably attached to at least one other of the bags 26 and wound up to define a roll of the bags 26. The roll 26 is positioned on the axle 30. A free end 32 of the roll 26 is extended outwardly of the housing 12 through the slot 20. The free end 32 moves away from the housing 12 when the axle 30 rotates in the first direction to define an exposed bag 34. The exposed bag 34 is removable from the roll 26.
An actuator 36 is mounted on the housing 12 and is electrically coupled to the dispensing unit 24. The actuator 36 is actuated to turn on the dispensing unit 24. A power supply 38 is electrically coupled to the actuator 36. The power supply 38 comprises at least one battery. The peripheral wall 18 has an access door 40 therein to access the power supply 38.
A mount 42 is attached to the housing 12 and engages a belt 44 worn by a person 46. The mount 42 is positioned on and extends outwardly from the peripheral wall 18. The mount 42 comprises a clip. The clip may engage the strap of a belt 44 alternatively engages the strap of a purse or the strap of another article conventionally worn by a person 46 and should not be limited to a belt 44 worn by a person 46.
In use, the mount 42 is attached to the belt 44 of the person 46. The actuator 36 is actuated to extend the free end 32 of the roll 26 outwardly from the interior 22 of the housing 12. The exposed portion 34 of the roll 26 is then removable from the roll 26.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
