Abstract

A grill has a housing and a combustion chamber arranged inside the housing. A drawer-like receiving member is provided and configured to receive at least one food carrier. A receptacle is arranged within the housing and a drawer mechanism is arranged within the receptacle. The drawer mechanism allows for the receiving member to be pulled out.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure generally relates to a grill, and more particularly, to a grill having a drawer mechanism.

BACKGROUND

Grills having a housing, a combustion chamber disposed within the housing for generating heat in the range up to 800° C., a cooking grate and at least one food carrier are generally known.

However, known grills have the disadvantage that they include a base which extends outside of the housing such, that the grill requires a lot of storage space. Another problem is that the known grills have racks inside, on which the grill grate can be placed at different heights. However, these grates and all other parts installed in the grill area are extremely difficult to clean.

SUMMARY

The present disclosure is based on the object to provide a grill that eliminates the aforementioned problems, which is easily to operate, easy to clean, and easy to stow.

This object is achieved by the grill as described and claimed.

The improved grill has a housing and a combustion chamber arranged inside the housing. A drawer-like receiving member is provided and configured to receive at least one food carrier. A receptacle is arranged within the housing and a drawer mechanism is arranged within the receptacle. The drawer mechanism allows for the receiving member to be pulled out.

The receiving member can be completely removed from the grill and e.g. placed into an automatic dish washer for cleaning.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As shown in FIG. 1, an exemplary grill 1 comprises a housing 10. Disposed within the housing 10 are a combustion chamber 11 and a drawer-like receiving member 14 for receiving a plurality of food carriers 13. The housing 10 has a receptacle 15 formed as a lateral opening. The receptacle 15 includes a drawer mechanism 150 within which the receiving member 14 can be pulled out and pushed into the housing.

The receiving member 14 as shown in FIGS. 1-2 is formed as a support frame, within which a plurality of levels 140 are provided for receiving food carriers 13.

As shown, a plurality of food carriers 13—preferably in the form of a grill grate 13a and/or a grilling pan 13b—can be arranged in the several levels 140 of the receiving member 14 and thereby adjusted in height. Thus, a grill grate 13a and a fat collecting tray can be inserted into the support frame. The support frame can then be completely inserted into the grill space and later be removed for cleaning.

While the present invention has been described with reference to exemplary embodiments, it will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art that the invention is not limited to the disclosed or illustrated embodiments but, on the contrary, is intended to cover numerous other modifications, substitutions, variations and broad equivalent arrangements that are included within the spirit and scope of the following claims.

Claims

1. A grill, comprising:

a housing;

a combustion chamber arranged inside the housing;

a drawer-like receiving member configured to receive at least one food carrier;

a receptacle arranged within the housing; and

a drawer mechanism arranged within the receptacle by which the receiving member can be pulled out.

2. The grill as in claim 1, wherein the receiving member is a support frame having a plurality of levels for receiving food carriers.

3. The grill as in claim 2, wherein the at least one food carrier can be arranged at different heights within the plurality of levels.

4. The grill as in claim 1, wherein the at least one food carrier is a cooking grate or a grilling pan.
