Description
BACKGROUND

The present invention is directed to a balancing device that will improve the users balance while strengthening the core and lower part of the body's muscle.

Athlete's muscles demand proper stretching and training to ensure optimal performance.

Today, there are few products that train one's core muscles and overall center of balance. Dancers, gymnasts, and athletes of any kind requiring proper balance for adequate performance need devices that strengthen the core while requiring proper posture to remain on the devices.

The present invention is a portable device that has a platform that is supported by three equally spaced apart springs that are secured to a swivel that is attached to a base. The device provides an athlete with a rotating and flexible platform device that promotes proper body alignment while simultaneously strengthening his or her core. The device will help users perfect their athletic or dance routines.

For the foregoing reason there is a need for a balancing exercise device that will provide an athlete with a rotating and flexible platform that will strengthen the core of a user while promoting his or her proper body alignment.

SUMMARY

The present invention is a balancing exercise device that provides an athlete with a rotating and flexible platform that strengthens the core of a user while simultaneously promoting his or her proper body alignment.

The balancing exercise device comprises of a base that is connected to a spinning mechanism that attaches to a spring mechanism platform. A three spring mechanism that is composed of three springs, the springs are attached to the spring mechanism platform so that all spring are equally distanced from the center of the spring mechanism platform and each spring is equally distanced from each other. And, a support base having a top and a bottom, the three spring mechanism is attached to the bottom of the support base at a position wherein all spring are equally distanced from the center of the bottom of the support base and each spring is equally distanced from each other.

In preferred embodiments the spring mechanism platform and the support base will be circular in shape and a foam padding will be placed on the top of the support base.

Presently, there is no spinning balancing device that uses three equally centered and spaced apart springs to support the support base of a spinning exercise device. The key of the three springs is that if a user of the device losses his or her balance in one direction, a first force, the other two springs will help counter balance the first force exerted on the device by pulling back the on the force, a second force, and thereby allowing the user the time needed to react to correct his or her center of alignment.

The device also allows the user to manually spin the device. The user spins the device by using his or her hips, his or her core and his or her lower part of the body muscles. The device is used to increase the body control of the user while strengthening all of the muscles that are required to control the body in an upright position when stretching or practicing on the device.

An object of the present invention is to provide a device that will strengthen the core of a user.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a device that will promote the proper body alignment of a user using the device.

Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a device that will help an athlete strengthen the muscles needed to perform athletic or dance routines.

DRAWINGS

These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with regards to the following description, appended claims, and drawings where:

FIG. 1 shows a side view of the present invention.

DESCRIPTION

As seen in FIG. 1, the present invention is a balancing exercise device 100 that provides an athlete with a rotating and flexible platform that strengthens the core of a user while promoting his or her proper body alignment. The balancing exercise device 100 comprises of a base 10 that is attached to a spinning mechanism 20. The spinning mechanism 20 attaches to a spring mechanism platform 30. The spring mechanism 30 is a swivel. A three spring mechanism 40 that is composed of three springs 42. The springs 30 are attached to the spring mechanism platform 30 so that all spring 42 are equally distanced from the center of the spring mechanism platform 30 and each spring 42 is equally distanced from each other. And, a support base 50 that has a top 50a and a bottom 50b. The three spring mechanism 40 is attached to the bottom of the support base 50b at a position wherein all spring 42 are equally distanced from the center of the bottom of the support base 50b and each spring 42 is equally distanced from each other.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the balancing exercise device 100 comprises of a foam pad 60 that is placed on the top of the support base 50b.

Ideally, the foam pad, the support pad, and the spring mechanism platform of the present invention will all be circular in shape. A circular shape provides a safer device to the user, for there will be no sharp corners that could hurt a user if the user falls off the device.

In a preferred embodiment the device uses the following items: One Nonskid foam pad measuring 0.125″×12″; Three medium density fiberboard/wood measuring 12″×0.375″; Six spring retainer cups measuring 3″ diameter×⅞″ High; Three springs measuring 2″×4.25″; One Round Swivel steel (56) ball bearing swivel platform, load capability of 50-120 KG, Material: A3 Steel, Color: Black, Thickness: 2.3 mm, Full Ball Bearing: 8 mm*56 pcs, Function: 360-degree rotation, Feature: low noise, flexible, long service life, strong bearing capacity, measuring 10 3/16 diameter 15/16 inches High; Eight black DURACO cylindrical bumpers; Six zinc tee nuts measuring 0.3125″×0.875″; Six zinc PHILLIPS screws measuring 0.3125″×0.875″; Six internal/external lock washers measuring 0.1875″; Industrial grade paint; Six hex nuts 10/32; Six screws PAN PHILLIPS MACHINE 10/32; and Six Lock Washer Pltd #10.

The device is used by the user standing on the center of the support base of the device. User then sways his or her body, allowing the spring platform to move side-to-side due to the user's redistribution of their weight while also spinning his or her body, causing the up-most platform to rotate.

An advantage of the present invention is that it provides a device that strengthens the core of a user.

Another advantage of the present invention is that it provides a device that promotes the proper body alignment of a user using the device.

Yet another advantage of the present invention is that it provides a device that helps an athlete strengthen the muscles needed to perform athletic or dance routines.

While the inventor's above description contains many specificities, these should not be construed as limitations on the scope, but rather as an exemplification of several preferred embodiments thereof. Accordingly, the scope should not be determined by the embodiments illustrated, but by the appended claims and their legal equivalents.
