FIG. 1 is a schematic expanded view of a packaging box according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, and FIG. 2 is a three-dimensional schematic diagram of a part of a packaging box according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in the figures, the packaging box 100 has a bottom plate 170, two cover plates, such as a front cover plate 180 and a rear cover plate 160, two external plates 140, two internal plates 150, and a group of flaps 130.

The two cover plates are respectively connected to two opposite sides of the bottom plate 170 along a first direction 210, and the two external plates 140 are respectively connected to another two opposite sides of the bottom plate 170 along a second direction 220. That is, the two cover plates and the two external plates 140 are respectively connected to the four sides of the rectangle bottom plate 170. The first direction 210, i.e. a direction of a Y axis, is perpendicular to the second direction 220, i.e. a direction of an X axis.

The two internal plates 150 are respectively connected to outer sides of the corresponding external plates 140 along the second direction 220. That is, the external plate 140 is connected between the internal plate 150 and the bottom plate 170. The group of flaps 130 are respectively connect to two opposite sides of the two cover plates. In addition, a length of the internal plate 150 along the second direction 220 is less than a length of the external plate 140 along the second direction 220. That is, a height 156 of the internal plate 150 is less than a height 144 of the external plate 140.

Compared with a conventional packaging box, the packaging box 100 effectively reduces the height of the internal plate 150, thereby effectively reducing an amount of paper needed. The packaging box 100 in FIG. 1 is taken for example. When the height 156 of the internal plate 150, in other words, the length of the internal plate 150 along the second direction 220, is designed to be one third of the height 144 of the external plate 140, in other words, one third of the length of the external plate 140 along the second direction 220, paper in a hatched area 200 in FIG. 1 may be completely saved, thereby effectively reducing the amount of paper used for the packaging box, and further reducing production costs of the packaging box.

In addition, the group of flaps 130 includes four flaps. For example, two first flaps 132 are respectively connected to the two opposite sides of the rear cover plate 160 along the second direction 220, and two second flaps 134 are respectively connected to the two opposite sides of the front cover plate 180 along the second direction 220. Each first flap 132 includes a first engaging opening 133, and each second flap 134 includes a second engaging opening 135.

When the front cover plate 180, the rear cover plate 160, and the two external plates 140 are respectively folded toward the bottom plate 170 to form the packaging box, the two first flaps 132 and the two second flaps 134 are respectively folded to closely contact the corresponding external plates 140, and the two internal plates 150 are respectively folded to be inserted into the first engaging openings 133 of the first flaps 132 and the second engaging openings 135 of the second flaps 134 that are on the corresponding sides.

In an embodiment, each internal plate 150 includes an extending portion 151 connected to a corresponding external plate 140 and an inserting portion 153 connected to the extending portion 151. A width 154 of the inserting portion 153 along the first direction 210 is less than a width 142 of the external plate 140 along the first direction 210.

Please refer to FIG. 2. When the first flap 132 and the second flap 134 are folded to closely contact the corresponding external plates 140, the first engaging opening 133 of the first flap 132 and the second engaging opening 135 of the second flap 134 form an engaging opening width 131, and the inserting portion 153 is inserted into the first engaging opening 133 and the second engaging opening 135 thus to be fixed therein, to effectively engage the internal plate 150, the first flap 132, the second flap 134, and the external plate 140 together, thereby further improving the strength of the structure of the packaging box 100 and effectively protecting a product placed in the packaging box 100.

In an embodiment, the width 154 of the inserting portion 153 along the first direction 210 is less than the engaging opening width 131 formed by the first engaging opening 133 and the second engaging opening 135.

Please refer to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2. The inserting portion 153 further includes two flanges 157, formed on two sides of the inserting portion 153 to be fixed into the first engaging opening 133 and the second engaging opening 135, and a width 152 of the two flanges 157 along the first direction 210 is greater than the engaging opening width 131.

In an embodiment, the packaging box 100 further includes a box cover portion 120 connected to the rear cover plate 160 and an inserting tongue portion 110 connected to the box cover portion 120, to form an sealed packaging box 100. However, the present disclosure is not limited thereto. In addition, the external plate 140 further includes a compensation portion 146 for compensating for the thickness of materials of the packaging box 100 when the packaging box 100 is folded.

In conclusion, the packaging box in the preferred embodiment of the present disclosure effectively reduces a height of the internal plate, and therefore may effectively reduce the amount of paper needed by the packaging box. In addition, by inserting the inserting portion of the internal plate into the engaging opening of the flap, the strength of the structure of the packaging box may be more effectively improved.

Although the present disclosure has been disclosed above through the embodiments, the above embodiments are not intended to limit the present disclosure. A person of ordinary skill in the art may make various modifications and improvements without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure. Therefore, the protection scope of the present disclosure is subject to the appended claims.
