WEIGHT LIFTING DEVICE
A device; the device includes a handle, at least one rope and a weighted member. The device includes a suspended weighted bag unit capable of functioning as a dumbbell, allowing users to customize a workout, target various upper body muscles and perform repeated curls or other exercises designed to build upper body muscles.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONThe following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.
1. Field of the InventionThe present invention relates generally to the field of weight lifting and more specifically relates to weight lifting equipment.
2. Description of Related ArtMany people exercise to stay in shape. Dumbbells are common exercise tools used to perform curls and other upper body exercises. These exercises typically target the biceps; however, other muscles may be worked out using a dumbbell. Using a dumbbell can be difficult for an extended period of time. Conventional dumbbells may be an issue for those with hand or wrist strength problems. A suitable solution is desired.
U.S. Pat. No. 9,504,867 to William B. Hall relates to a weight holding device. The described weight holding device includes a strap and a strap-separating component attached to the strap. The strap-separating component maintains a separation between two portions of the strap when a weight is suspended from the weight holding device. An optional handgrip may be included.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONIn view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known weight lifting art, the present disclosure provides a novel weight lifting device. The general purpose of the present disclosure, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide a suspended weighted bag unit capable of functioning as a dumbbell, allowing users to perform repeated curls or other exercises designed to build upper body muscles. The suspended weight bag may include a more effective exercise tool than a dumbbell, allowing users to customize a workout and target various upper body muscles with each session. The device may be designed to replace conventional dumbbells.
A device for exercising is disclosed herein. The device includes a handle configured to substantially encircle a limb of a user. At least one rope may be attached to the handle at a first end of the at least one rope. Further, a weighted member may be attached (proximate) to a second end of the at least one rope. The weighted member may include a nonrigid outer-shell defining an inner-capacity, and the inner-capacity may house a weight-material configured to provide a weight to the weighted member.
A method of using device is also disclosed herein. The method of using device may comprise the steps of: providing the device as above; attaching the at least one rope to the handle at the first end of the at least one rope; substantially encircling the handle around the limb of the user; lifting the weighted member via the handle and the at least one rope; and performing weight lifting exercise with the device.

DETAILED DESCRIPTIONAs discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to weight lifting and more particularly to a weight lifting device as used to improve use and efficiency of weight lifting.
Generally, disclosed is a device including a strap, worn around the hand or wrist, effectively ensuring the user can lift the weighted bag unit and perform repeated exercises with a strong, durable grip. The device may include a suspension rope and strap for securing a user's grip onto the device. The strap can be wrapped around the hand or wrist, allowing users to lift the bag and perform repeated curls or other exercises. The suspension ropes can be interchanged for various lengths for different exercises or user preferences. The user wraps the strap around the fist, lifts the sack, and begins curl exercises. The strap allows the weight trainer to control the angle in which the weight exercises the bicep.
The device may allow users to maintain varying hand positions in order to target different areas of the bicep and other muscles. The device may include a variety of suspension ropes to offer varying lengths for different exercises or user preferences in order to maintain comfort and safety while exercising. The device may allow an easier time lifting weight when compared to a conventional dumbbell while still obtaining an efficient workout. The device may be constructed using leather and other suitable materials. The device may be filled with sand and other materials to provide weight. Exact size, measurement, construction, and design specifications may vary upon manufacturing.

In another embodiment, the handle 110 may include an elongated length 114 (that is not a continuous loop). The elongated length 114 may be configured to wrap around the limb 5 of the user 10. In this embodiment, the handle 110 may include the fastener 116, and the fastener 116 may include adhesive. In this example, the user 10 my wrap the elongated length 114 around the limb 5 and fasten via the adhesive. However, it should be appreciated that other fasteners are contemplated, and in some embodiments, the handle 110 may not include the fastener 116.
In one embodiment, the at least one rope 120 may include a first-rope 126 and a second-rope 128. The first-rope 126 may include a first-length 127, the second-rope 128 may include a second-length 129. Preferably, the first-length 127 and the second-length 129 may be different from each other. However, in another embodiment, the first-rope 126 and the second-rope 128 may be different from each other in other ways, such as in materials, weights, rigidity, etc. The first-rope 126 and the second-rope 128 may be included as part of a kit with the handle 110 and the weighted member. It should be appreciated that the at least one rope 120 is not limited to just including the first-rope 126 and the second-rope 128; there may be more than two ropes or less than two ropes.
The at least one rope 120 may be made from a polyester material, a polypropylene material, a rubber material, a silicone material, a nylon material, manila material, and the like. The at least one rope 120 may include a plurality of strands that may be braided, plaited, twisted, double-braided, diamond-braided, etc.
The inner-capacity 134 may house a weight-material 136 configured to provide a weight to the weighted member. In one embodiment, the weight-material 136 may be sand. In another embodiments, the weight-material 136 may be iron, plastic, rubber, silicone, etc. The weight-material 136 may include a plurality of particles, granules, beads, etc. The weight may be at least one pound. The weighted member 130 may be manufactured in with various different weights. In some embodiments, the weight-material 136 may be removable such that the user 10 is able to lessen the weight, or in some embodiments, add weight. The weight-material 136 may be provided as part of the kit to allow the user 10 to add a desired amount of weight-material 136 to the inner-capacity 134.

Claims
1. A device for weight lifting, the device comprising:
- a handle, the handle being configured to substantially encircle a limb of a user;
- at least one rope attached to the handle at a first end of the at least one rope; and
- a weighted member attached to a second end of the at least one rope, the weighted member including a nonrigid outer-shell defining an inner-capacity, and wherein the inner-capacity houses a weight-material configured to provide a weight to the weighted member.
2. The device of claim 1, wherein the handle includes a continuous loop having a circumference and an aperture for receiving the limb of the user.
3. The device of claim 1, wherein the handle includes an elongated length, and wherein the elongated length is configured to wrap around the limb of the user.
4. The device of claim 1, wherein the handle includes a fastener.
5. The device of claim 1, wherein the limb of the user is a hand.
6. The device of claim 1, wherein the at least one rope is detachable at the first end from the handle.
7. The device of claim 6, wherein the at least one rope is detachable at the second end from the weighted member.
8. The device of claim 1, wherein the at least one rope includes at least a first-rope and a second-rope.
9. The device of claim 8, wherein the first-rope includes a first-length, wherein the second-rope includes a second-length, and wherein the first-length and the second-length are different from each other.
10. The device of claim 1, wherein the weighted member is a sack.
11. The device of claim 1, wherein the weight-material is sand.
12. The device of claim 1, wherein the weight-material is iron.
13. The device of claim 1, wherein the weight-material is plastic.
14. The device of claim 1, wherein the weight-material is rubber.
15. The device of claim 1, wherein the weight-material is silicone.
16. The device of claim 1, wherein the weight is at least one pound.
17. A device for weight lifting, the device comprising: wherein the handle includes a continuous loop having a circumference and an aperture for receiving the limb of the user; wherein the limb of the user is a hand; wherein the at least one rope is detachable at the first end from the handle; wherein the at least one rope includes a plurality of intertwined strands configured to withstand the weight of the weighted member; wherein the at least one rope includes at least a first-rope and a second-rope; wherein the first-rope includes a first-length; wherein the second-rope includes a second-length; wherein the first-length and the second-length are different from each other; wherein the weighted member is a sack; wherein the weight-material is sand; and wherein the weight is at least one pound.

A method of using a device for weight lifting, the method comprising the steps of: at least one rope for attachment to the handle at a first end of the at least one rope; and a weighted member attached to a second end of the at least one rope, the weighted member including a nonrigid outer-shell defining an inner-capacity, and wherein the inner-capacity houses a weight-material configured to provide a weight to the weighted member; attaching the at least one rope to the handle at the first end of the at least one rope; substantially encircling the handle around the limb of the user; lifting the weighted member via the handle and the at least one rope; and performing weight lifting exercise with the device.

- substantially encircling the handle around the limb of the user;
- lifting the weighted member via the handle and the one of the first-rope and the second-rope; and performing weight lifting exercise with the device.
